六月十六日(rokugatsu jyuroku nichi): June 16

It was raining in the morning. Since I will stay at a hotel for a few days, I was wondering what kind of umbrella I should bring. It was raining rather heavily, I thought of bringing the long one, but on the second thought I wondered if it is fine tomorrow, I do not want to carry the long one. Therefore I decided to bring the folding umbrella. It is called oritatami gasa (折り畳み傘) in Japanese. And the decision turned out to be a better idea. Because it became fine later and very warm like summer.
In summer time, ladies use parasol called higasa (日傘). The umbrella which can be used for both fine and rain called seiu kenyo gasa (晴雨兼用傘) is very useful.
