It was fine.

I stayed at home all day long.

It's already the end of the month. One twelfth of the year has gone.

How was it?

There are two things I do at the end of month. One is to hold a bilingual fortune sharing meeting by zoom which I did yesterday. The other is to make a photo album of 20 pictures by Nohana which I did today.

In the evening I attended a zoom seminar, and at night I attended a zoom event.

My 65th ebook has become No.1 in the USA, and No.2 in Spain.

From tomorrow my new life starts.

It was fine, and Mt.Fuji looked beautiful. 

I went to Yokosuka first to submit a document but it was not acceped. All I can do is to go there again to submit it on the designate date.

I visited my teacher of the first grade of primary school after a while. We had lunch.

Secondly I went to Yokohama to see a movie "RRR."

Thirdly I went to Sugita to have my hair cut and perm.

 

At night I had the 17th "Bilingual fortune sharing meeting" by zoom. There were 5 participants. 

The present campaign of the 65th ebook started. To my glad it is No.1 in Japan.

It was fine.

I left home around 8 am and went to Roppongi first.

I visited two shrines and a museum and photo exhibitions.

Next I went to Shinjuku to see the strings art exhibition and met some artists.  I saw two more exhibitions there.

After having lunch I went to Ochanomizu to attend the lecture of the calendar navigator Day 2.  It was supposed to start at 1pm, but when I arrived around 12:40 it was already full and I sat at the back part of the room. It lasted for 5 hours with two recesses. I am glad to see some friends. 

After the lecture I went to have dinner with some friends.

It was a fruitful day.

It was fine.

I published the 65th book today.

At first it was supposed to be a photobook of sunlight pictures taken between January and May 2021. But when I checked the pictures again, there were so many pictures, and I decided to divide it into two books. This is the photobook of the sunlight pictures taken between April and May 2021.

To my glad it is No.1 in Japan.

In the afternoon I attended Ken Honda's Zoom seminar for three hours. It's been a long time since I attended his lecture last. He was in Vancouver and it was held by bilingual. There were 1500 participants. It was consisted of two parts with Q and A session.

At night I prepared for the kimono this weekend.

It was cloudy and rainy and cold.

First I attended laughter yoga.

In the morning I watched the recorded movie "Transporter 3" and in the afternoon I watched a movie  "The Transporter Refueled" on TV.

It was the same series but the main actor was different.

After that I prepared the 65th book. I planned to publish sun light pictures from January to May 2021, but there were so many pictures, so I decided to divide it into two books.

At night I attended three zoom sessions. One for one by one, the other for webinar, and another for Q and A seminar for the members.

It was fine but very cold again.

In today's newspaper there was an article about the fire drill to protect the cultural heritage of the nearby shrine. I am surprised to know that it has more than 500 years old history.  The details are unknown because all the documents were lost at the battle of the early 16th century. The current shrine was built in 1673. Wow!

I watched a movie "The Delta Force" on TV in the afternoon.

At night I attended a zoom session about color and message.

I have been preparing the 65th ebook which I was going to publish today but I need much time.

It was fine and very cold.

Mt.Fuji looked beautiful covered with snow.

In many places it snowed heavily and there were many traffic troubles here and there.

I watched a movie on TV in the afternoon.

I attended two zoom events, one in the day time and the other at night. Some sessions were useful.

I am preparing for the next ebook.

It was cloudy and cold.

In many places in Japan it is snowing and very cold. It will be the coldest day tomorrow.

 

I stayed at home all day long.

In the afternoon I watched a movie on TV, and some missed dramas by NHK Plus.

It was a cold cloudy and rainy day.

I arrived at YCAT at 5:05. It was earlier than schedule.

I came home before 7 am.

After attending Laughter yoga, I went to the City Office to hear the result of the health check I had last year. I got some advice to be healthy. I need to take much water or caffeine free drinks.

After having lunch, I watched a movie on TV.

At night I attended a zoom event.

Happy New Year!

 

It was fine.

I attended to the guided tour by a staff of the Jingu kaikan from 6:30 am. After the tour I saw the beautiful sun rise in front of the torii gate.

After having breakfast, I wore the kimono and we headed for Naiku shrine and paid the formal visit.

After that we had lunch and visited the Naiku shrine again.

Around 16:30 I came back to Jingukaikan to change.

Most of the shops there close at 17:00.

I took a night bus at 20:30 to Yokohama.

It was a nice new year's day.

It was fine.

I got up early to see the sunrise from the sea, but I could not.

I met a friend on my way back to the hotel. 

I changed to the kimono and visited Futami okitama jinja shrine and couple rocks. I decided to visit Hinjitsukan for the first time, to my glad I saw many hina dolls sets for the festival.

I took a bus to Jingu kaikan to leave the suitcase, and headed for the meeting spot.  

We are a group of 57 people and visited Sarutahiko jinja shrine and Geku shrine where we paid the formal visit.

We had nice dinner and three hour lecture.

My 63rd ebook is No.1 in Canada.

I had a good year end of the lunar calendar.

2023.1.20

It was fine.

 

Today is daikan (大寒) one of nijushisekki (二十四節気) the 24 solar times. Last one is shokan (小寒) on January 6, and the next one is risshun (立春) on February 4.

Daikan means big cold. It is the coldest season in Japan.

I arrived at the Hotel Castle Inn around 9:30 am, and left the suitcase and headed for the destination.

However I got on a wrong bus and went to the opposite direction, and wasted time. But I met somebody that is from Kamakura and lives in Barcelona. What a coincidence! We enjoyed talking.

After saying good bye, I visited Isawa jinja shrine where I could not visit last year. It was located at a very remote area and there were a few buses in a day, so I am glad to have been there finally.

At the hotel I could reserve the private bathroom. Isn't it nice?

It was cloudy and rather cold.

I stayed at home during day time.

I attended laughter yoga in the morning, and watched a movie on TV in the afternoon.

I made the 64th ebook and it has been published.

To my glad my 63rd ebook has been No.1 in the USA and Japan.

After having supper I took a shower and left home around 9 pm to get a long distance night bus from Yokohama.

It left on time at Yokohama.

In the morning I had a zoom session.

In the afternoon I watched a movie " Nowhere to run" on TV. Japanese title was Body Target. It is quite different, isn't it?

In the evening I went to a coffee shop to meet somebody. I ate  cake set. We enjoyed talking.

There were two new TV dramas started tonight.

It was a cold rainy day.

In the morning I went to Kimono Style Miya to have my hair set, make up, and dressed up furisode, and pictures taken. Furisode is usually worn by youn unmarried lady. 

It was a bit hard to accept the unusual hair style, but people there were very pleased.

In the afternoon I attended two zoom seminars.

My present campaign of the 62nd ebook was over and the price was returned. To my glad my books became No.1, 2 and 3.

It was a rainy day.

This was the first rain of this year.

 

I stayed at home all day long.

I talked with my friend through Line for more than one hour. If we use the phone for an hour, it would cost a lot. How convenient the life has changed!

In the evening I made the 63rd ebook.

At night there were two zoom sessions.

It was cloudy in the morning, and slightly rained at night.

I wore kimono and went to the nearby shrine first as the ritual of the 15th of the month.

Then I went to Hinodecho and visited Iseyama kotai jingu shrine and Narita san temple.

I went to Kimono style Miya to have my hair set, dressed up and pictures taken.

After that I went to Waseda to visit Ana hachimangu shrine to get the special charm given between winter solstice and setsubun (節分), one day before the first day of spring.

I visited some temples too with my friends.

We took a train and went to Kudanshita to have afternoon tea.

At night I attended a zoom session.

I published the 63rd book, and to my lucky it's been No. 1 in Japan.

It was fine.

I stayed at home all day long.

In the afternoon I watched a movie "Transporter 2” on TV.

I received a Christmas card from the USA.It took a month from there.

I received a suitcase I ordered the other day. It took only a few days.

When it arrived, the entrance door was knocked so hard that I wondered what happened. He said the door chaim did not ring. So I asked him to push the button again, and it rang as usual. We wondered why.

I attended the laughter yoga in the morning, and headed for Kudanshita to have lunch with a Facebook friend. This was the first time for us to see each other face to face.

After lunch we visited the Tokyo dai jingu shrine. Flower arrangements were beautiful.

After that we went to attend a lecture.

After saying good bye, I went to Higashiginza to attend a monthly meeting. 

After the meeting, three of us had dinner at the Chinese restaurant we went before.

We enjoyed talking and eating.

It was an eventful day.

I stayed at home all day long after all. 

In the morning I joined laughter yoga session first, watched a movie on TV in the afternoon, and studied about Calendar.

January 11 is known as kagami biraki(鏡開き), literally means mirror opening. It is the day to eat the decorated rice cake called kagami mochi (鏡餅) wishing the sound health. I usually eat them with sweet red bean soup called zenzai (ぜんざい), and I was going to shop sweet red bean, but I decided to eat them with vegetable and meat soup called ozoni (お雑煮) , and did not go out.

I studied the online lessons of reading calendar. 

From today the present campaign of the 62nd book started.

It was fine.

I stayed at home all day long.

First I attended the laughter yoga in the morning and studied some theories by online lectures.

In the afternoon I watched a movie on TV and studied again.

At night I attended an online event and studied again.

I booked the trip to Ise.

It was fine.

Today is the first national holiday of the year called seijin no hi (成人の日) Coming-of-Age Day, and the last day of the three day weekend.

Each municipality has a celebration ceremony. Many women wear the beautiful long sleeve kimono called furisode (振り袖) and some men were the formal costume called montsuki hakama (紋付袴).

It used to be on January 15, but has  become on the second Monday of January since 2000 because of happy Monday system.　 

Being adult used to be 20 years old, but has become 18 years old since April last year.

How old is adult in your country?

It was fine.

I went to the Meiji jingu shrine in the morning for the first visit of the year. Usually I go there from JR Harajuku station, but today I went there from Yoyogi station.

Today is Sunday and there were still many people there for the first visit of the year.

After that I headed for Ochanomizu to attend the Calendar seminar of the Day 1 for 5 hours. This seminar consists of 4 lectures and 1 workshop for three months. I met many Powerspot meisters and other friends.

After that eight of us had dinner. All of them were Powerspot meisters. It was fun.

I came home around 10:30 pm.

It's been a week since the new year started.

January 7 is known as haru no nanakusa (春の七草), seven herbs of spring.

We eat delicious foods during the new year, therefore our stomache worked hard and got tired. So we eat porridge with seven herbs in the morning of January 7 to make it rest.

Today I got a call from a teacher of my first grade of the primary school by chance. It seemed she pushed my number by mistake. We enjoyed talking after a long time and decided to have lunch next month. 

I got a catalog choice present of a stock holding company.

At night I attended a zoom event.

It was fine today.

It is shokan （小寒）one of nijushisekki （二十四節気）the 24 solar terms. Last one was toji （冬至）on December 22, and the next one is daikan（大寒）on January 20.　Shokan literally means small cold.

Today is tenshanichi or tenshabi（天赦日）which is a very good day and only happens a few times in a year, and ichiryumanbaibi（一粒万倍日） when a grain becomes 10000 times. 

I stayed at home all day long besides bringing 5 bags of branches and leaves I packed at the end of last year to the garbage station in the morning.

I joined the Facebook live to declare the resolution of the year.

It was held by the study group because today is one of the luckiest days of the year.

It was fine.

I stayed at home all day long.

In the afternoon I watched a movie on TV.

I started planning the shrine visiting event. This will be the third time to visit the shrine and have afternoon tea after that.I hope to book a nice place.

In the afternoon I started preparing new ebooks.

From today two new TV programs started at night.

It was fine.

I bought a magazine first because there were articles my teacher and friend wrote.

I went to Yokosuka in the morning. There were many things to do.

I met a Facebook friend whom I have known from the online event for more than a year and had lunch together. The restaurant we supposed to go was closed and we went to to the other place.

We enjoyed talking a lot. It was the first time for us to see each other but l felt we have known for a long time.

After that I went to Ningyocho to visit the seven Gods of Fortune in Nihonbashi. It is one of the shortest distances and supposed to take 50 minutes or so, but took more than two hours.

After that I went to see a movie "I wanna dance with somebody." Japanese title is Whitney Houston.

It was a fruitful day.

It was fine.

It was the second day of the Hakone Ekiden. Yesterday Komazawa University won. Today they won again.

They have become Champions for three occasions since last year.

It was fine.

I published the 61st ebook "Sunlight December 2022." To my glad it became No.1 in Japan.

I stayed at home all day long.

January 2 is known as kakizome which means first writing. At night there was Facebook live of Tsutafuede which is writing by brush to communicate. So I wrote some words.

January 2nd night is known as Hatsuyume, first dream. Let's have a good one!!

Happy New Year!!

How was your new year?

I went to the nearby shrine after midnight.

They usually offer a cup of sake and red ＆white rice cakes. This year there was no service for sake.

After coming home I took a bath and went to bed around 2:30 am or so.

It was fine and Mt.Fuji looked beautiful.

In the morning I got new year‘s cards. Some people said they decided not to write New Year's cards from next year.

That's a pity.

This is once a year communication tool. So I hope to continue as much as possible.

I ate red ＆ white rice cakes I got at the shrine for lunch by making ozoni （お雑煮）which is a typical new year's dish of soup with meat and vegetable.
