It was fine and cold.

I got up early to see the sunrise at the beach. Unfortunately I did not see the sunrise but saw the Mt. Fuji.

I came back to the hotel and changed to kimono, and went to shrines again.

After that I took a bus to Isuzugawa station, left a suitcase at the locker, visited another shrine, and had nice lunch which we happened to find. There are many postcards made by the owner, and I bought a beginners cutting picture kit.

At 1 pm we got together and visited Sarutahiko jinja shrine and Isejingu geku and did formal visit and dedicated okagura performance.

After having dinner, we had lecture.

It was a fruitful day.

It was a cold cloudy day.

I had a Japanese style breakfast.

I checked out before 8 am and headed for Iseshi to change the voucher to one day bus ticket and went to the hotel in Futaminoura, and visited the shrines.

There are couple rocks and I feel like to seeing the sunrise on summer solstice and the moon rise at winter solstice.

I went Izaunomiya next and visited some historical places. Unfortunately the power spot meister closed his house last October.

I went to Shinmeijinja shrine next.

There was one more shrine I wanted to visit but the information of Internet was wrong and I could not visit.

There were not any restaurants available for lunch and dinner today.

At night I had a zoom bilingual tea party.

It was cloudy but became fine.

I got up early to attend a zoom body adjustment practice.

I left home around 8:30 am and came to Yokkaichi to visit the Tsubaki okami yashiro shrine via Shinagawa and Nagoya.

On the Shikansen I joined the zoom meeting though I could not talk.

How convenient it is!

At Yokkaichi I went to the hotel first to leave my suitcase.

I enjoyed Japanese sweets with green tea at the Reishoan tea room where Konosuke Matsushita donated.

Everything went well and I enjoy the visit.

I came back to the hotel to check in and went to have dinner.

At night I attended an online tour to Finland. I hope to visit there to see Northern Lights someday.

It was fine.

There was a farewell ceremony today.

Her new job is available from home too.

Do you work at home? We do not.

I overworked a little bit and came home around 9 pm, and attended a zoom trial seminar for Mindfullness. It is deeply related to breathing.

I learned something new.

It was fine.

I have been planning where and how to go when I travel to Ise this time. There are some shrines I want to visit here and there. If I rent a car, it might be easier but I want to go by public transportations such as train and bus.  

Since I have a suitcase, I need to choose the shortest and less changing ways.

I really feel that I love traveling when I think of scheduling.

It was fine.

I am pleased to announce that my 32nd e-book was released today when is ichiryumanbaibi(一粒万倍日) and taian(大安) which are supposed to be a good day.

It is a photobook of my trip to Kuala Lumpur on my way from Dubai in May 2018 when I visited my high school friend.

I decided the most of the schedule of coming weekend to Ise.

I started preparing for the five days trip.

It was fine.

In the morning I got information about walking around the Imperial Palace in April for the second time. It is planned by Cloud Funding. Usually it costs 2500yen, but by cooperating the cloud funding you will be invited by 2000 yen donation.

Since I have been interested in walking around the imperial palace, where there are many runners and joggers ever day, I applied. 

I am very looking forward to seeing zoom friends  for the first time there.

It was fine.

I could not get up early as usual, but to my lucky I was in time for the job.

Since I could not buy lunch on my way to the office, I went out at lunch time.

On my way home, I dropped at Yokosukachuo to depsit at some banks.

To my surprise Japan Post Bank's rules of handling charge have been changed. The other day they decided to charge when to deposit coins.

It was cloudy and very cold.

I wore kimono and went to Kimono Style Miya to have my hairset, makeup, and dressed up.

I went to Iseyama kotai jingu shrine and Narita san temple first time this year.

After that I went to Wasada to visit Anahachimangu shtine and temple and went to Kichijyoji to have Afternoon Teas with friends.

It was a nice day.

It was fine.

I went to Kimono Style Miya to have my hair set, makeup and dressed up. And we got on a limousine and enjoyed champaign and photo shooting.

After that I went shopping and headed for a Japanese style resraurant near the Tokyo Tower.

It was amazing.  It's been 17 years old but uses very old woods.  Gardens are so nice. I came there at 4 pm and had my pictures taken. But others arrived very late, and I had to wait long.

Dinner was delicious.

On my way home I attended a zoom seminar.

It was a nice day.

It was fine but cold.

At night there were two zoom tea parties.

One is to learn how to take self profile. There were 6 people in total and it was the very first time to see them all. It lasted for one hour and 15 minutes.

The other was the congratulatory tea party by the host and myself. Both of us published ebook on January 11 which was one of the luckiest days in this year. We enjoyed talking a lot.

It was nice talking with her.

It was fine but very cold.

The nearly full moon was looked over the Mt. Fuji this morning.

It is daijan (大寒), one of nijushisekki (二十四節気), the 24 solar terms.  Last one was shokan (小寒) on January 5, and next one is risshun (立春) on February 4.

Daikan literally means big cold, and it is supposed to be the coldest time of the year.

It was fine. Mt. Fuji looked so beautiful. The big full moon in the morning was also beautiful.Sunlights through clouds were amazing.

I wanted to take pictures but could not.

Free promotion for the 31st e-photobook resulted in No.1 in six sections or so in Japan, one section in the USA, and No.2 in two sections in Spain, and ranked in Brazil.

I got some comments directly but no review at the website.

It was fine.

I went to clinic to ask about the result of the exam I took at the end of last month. Doctor's advice was to eat more fish and Japanese foods than meat or western foods.

At night I attended a zoom tea party which was very interesting.

Today is the fullmoon which was very beautiful.

Clouds were so beautiful this morning.

It's been 27 years since the Great Hanshin Awaji Earthquake happened.

Because of this disaster, volunteer activity started in Japan.

Today was a pay day  and I dropped at Yokosukachuo to go to some ATMs and shopping on my way back.

It was fine.

I was going to Nihonbashi to visit the seven lucky gods, however it seems the special stamp rally was over yesterday. Therefore I went to Takasago to visit Shibamata Shichifukujin (柴又七福神).

Shibamata is very famous for the movie series "Tora san" directed by Yoji Yamada.

Tora is tiger. This is the year of tiger, so I decided to visit their seven lucky gods.

I really enjoyed Shibamata taishakuten (柴又帝釈天)  where the sculpture gallery and the garden were awesome.

After visiting seven temples, I walked to the river and visited Tora san kinenkan (寅さん記念館) and Yamada Yoji museum (山田洋次ミュージアム) and Yamamoto tei (山本亭). All were nice and there were many things to see so I hope to visit there someday again.

It was fine.

I started the day with the laughter yoga.

Today is my dead father's 87th birthday.

I went to Awaguchi jinja shrine in YoKosuka today. When last week I went to Suzaki jinja shrine in China, there was a big stone, and I knew the legend that the pair stone is located in Yokosuka.

The nearest station was Shin Otsu, and I needed to walk for 20 minutes or so. There is no building but a big stone. I am glad to see that.

After that I went to Kamakura to see my friend and we visited the Daibutsu (大仏), a big sitting statue of Buddha, and Hase dera (長谷寺) to see a big Kannon statue. They are having 1300 year's celebration. We had very special experiences.

After having sweets we walked to the Yuigahama beach and visited her artist friend's atelier and enjoyed talking.

We got on a special decorated Enoden (江の電) train and went back to Kamakurr to have dinner.

It was a nice day.

It was fine, and Mt. Fuji looked very beautiful.

There were two zoom events at night.

Today free promotion of my 31st e-photobook started. To my glad it became No,1 in 3 sections in Japan.

It was fine but very cold.

At lunch time I was given a leftover lunch box by chance. The box was tied with a silver mizuhiki which looked very nice.

There were herb salad, roll cabbage, pumpkin salad, carrot rapee, red negi spring

roll, soup, rice, and dessert. It was a nice experience because it was not what I would choose by myself.

It was fine. Mt. Fuji looked so beautiful.

Yesterday I got some replies of new year's cards. There was a sad one. Unfortunately it was not from the person I sent but from the family. It said the person died on June 25 last year. I did not know at all. I am so sad to know that. I should have communicated more.

If there is someone you want to see, it's better not to postpone.

This year there were some people saying "This is the last year to send New Year's Cards." Reason is different by person.

 I will keep sending because this is the only greetings once a year. It is like the confirmation I am living.

It was cloudy and became rain and very cold.

Today is tenshabi (天赦日) which is an extremely good day that the heaven forgives everything, and it only happens a few times in a year. 

It is also ichiryumanbaibi(一粒万倍日) when one grain becomes 10000 times.

It is also the first day of 60 days calendar.

Therefore it is said to start something becomes a big result.

I took a half day off to visit the Meiji jingu shrine.

And I published the 31st ebook about Hong Kong and Macau.

January 11 is known as kagami biraki(鏡開き). I ate the rice cake inside kagami mochi (鏡餅) by oshiruko (お汁粉). It was tasty.

It was a cold cloudy day.

Today is a national holiday called Seijin no hi (成人の日), Coming of Age Day. It was used to be on January 15, but it has become the second Monday of January since 2000.

To be 20 years old meant to be adult. However from this year the law changes, and to be 18 years old is regarded as adult.

On this day munincipals hold a ceremony, and men usually wear suits and some wear the traditional Japanese costume called montsuki hakama (紋付き袴), and women usually wear long-sleeved kimono called furisode (振袖), which are gorgeous and beautiful.

Today I attended a zoom seminar in the morning, and a real monthly meeting at night.

It was fine.

I got up early to attend one day tour to Awa ichinomiya visiting.  The bus left at Shinjuku at 8:00 am, and came back at 6 pm.  We visited four shrines in Tateyama, Chiba prefecture.

Weather was very nice, and we saw the beautiful Mt. Fuji.

From tonight a new taiga drama started. The title is Kamakura dono no jusan nin (鎌倉殿の13人), The 13 Lords of  the Shogun. It is the story happened in Kamakura in the 12th century. Kamakura wii be more poular this year.

It was fine.

I got up and wore kimono and headed for Yokosukachuo to go to some ATMs.  There was a parade by fire fighters instead of Dezomeshiki. But I did not see the event but went to Sugita to attend a mizuhiki making workshop from 11 am. I got a new year gift.

After coming home, I attended a zoom seminar.

After that I went to Toyopet and new year gifts, and went grocery shopping.

At night I attended another zoom seminar about Cinderella color therapy. My dream color is red.

I got many presents today.

It was fine.  Landscape with snow was rare in my area and very beautiful. 

However the windshield was frozen this morning, and I had to melt it and could not get on the regular train. To my glad I was in time.

January 7 is known as nanakusa(七草), seven herbs. At the New Years, we eat rich delicious foods every day and tend to eat too much. Therefore to rest our stomach we eat porridge with seven herbs on this day.

It was cloudy in the morning and very cold.

In the daytime it started snowing heavily, and we were allowed to leave earlier than usual. 

The train was crowded and delayed and I had to stand up for more than one hour but could come home about one hour earlier than usual and cooked dinner.

Snow was about 10cm piled.

I am glad to come home safe and sound.

Today was the last day of the free promotion of my 30th ebook. It became No. 1 in Japan, USA, and Mexico.

It was fine and very cold.

Today is shokan (小寒), one of the 24 solar terms.  The last one was toji(冬至) on December 22, and the next one is daikan (大寒) on January 20.

At night I attended the zoom channelling session. I got the favorable replies.

Now my 30th e-book is No.1 in three sections in Japan, two sections in the USA, and one section in Mexico.

It was fine.

Today was the first day of the work this year, which is called "shigoto hajime (仕事始め)". Shigoto is work or job. Hajme means the beginning. Our regular life style was returned.

At lunch time I went to post office to send season's greetings to the USA and a small packet to UK. To my surprise there was a new system introduced since January last year which I was not aware of at all inspite of sending small packets twice to UK every year. There is a possiblity that hand writing package won't be accepted at the customs. And we are advised to print the address. I decided to try at the post office but couldn't make it, and the officer helped me by their device.

I was surprised to know that cashless service was introduced which I have been long hoping.

On my way back home I sttended a zoom meeting by just listening, and at home I attended another.

It was fine.

I stayed at home all day long.

I did not do anything special.

To my glad my 30th ebook became No.1 in the USA, too.

Happy New Year!

How was your new year?

I went to the nearby shrine around 1:30 am, and  got three sets of red and white rice cakes.

Last year when I visited there just after becoming the new year, there was a long line therefore I went there about one hour later.

After that I took a bath and went to bed.

I got up early to see the first sunrise.

It was so beautiful and Mt. Fuji looked so beatiful too.

I got New year's cards and I went to the post office to send mine.
