2026.7.20

 It was fine and very hot. It became  moshobi (猛暑日), which is over 35 degrees centigrade.  The rainy season of Kanto area was over. This was 1 day later than average year, but 22 days later than last year. It's going to be kokushobi (酷暑日), which is over 40 degrees centigrade.

Today is Umi no hi (海の日), Marine day, which is one of national holidays. And it was the last day of three-day weekend. I did not go out at all today.

I had a video meeting from 10AM, and there was a Global Women's Peace Forum from 11 AM to 2 PM by International Women's Peace Group.  There were more than 300 people around the world. There were two panel discussions, and Interactive Peace Dialogue. The other day I was asked make a speech, but I am glad to have declined.

I watched the dramas by NHK One.

I started preparing the trip this weekend.

2026.7.19

 It was fine and very hot.

There was something happened and I have to deal with from the morning till evening.

Today was the last day of 213th present campaign, and I published the 214th ebook.

In the late afternoon I went to Soleil no oka because the second and third weekend the parking lot is free for this peninsula residents. It cost yen 1,200. I wanted to see sunflowers, but they were not grown yet.

After that I went shopping at shoes store, grocery stores and I filled my car up.

It was a fruitful day.

2026.7.18

 It was fine.

Today is the first day of three-day weekend.

I did not go out anywhere but stayed at home to rest because this week I came home by the last train for 4 days.

I made corn tea from my trip to Korea by pot and chilled it in fridge though in Japan popular summer drink is barley tea.

I fell asleep during watching movie and did not do anything special but planned a trip next week. It must be fun.

2026.7.17

 It was cloudy and rainy.

It seems to have heavily rained in the afternoon.

I was very busy and overworked till10:20 PM, and during my way back home in the train I heard that trains were delayed because of the heavy rain in the afternoon.

This week I took the last train for 4 days.

At night I read my friend's post on Facebook, and there will be festival in Manazuru. I feel like visiting there.

On my way home I read another message, and I am glad to be invited to visit a very famous scholar.

2026.7.16

It was fine and very hot.

It was another long day, and I overworked till 10 PM again.

There was a meeting at night, and I was in charge of preparing dinner. To my lucky, I could ask the delivery from the same building. I have never eaten there, but I heard it is very popular and I was very looking forward to tasting. There were two left and my boss and I decided to taste half and half. One was the most popular one, the other was fish. So, I could taste grilled fish and meat. 

I got two reviews and two comments for my 213th eBook. Feedback is appreciated.

While watching TV at night, I fell asleep.

2026.7.15

 It was fine and very hot outside.

I went to the nearby shrine before going to work as a ritual of the 15th day of the month.

I was busy and overworked till 10 PM and came home later than midnight.

From today present campaign of the 213th eBook has begun. I got a good review. In Japan it's been No. 1 in three sections.

It was the day of tiger when is a good day for doing something related with money; therefore, I charged to the card.

2026.7.14

 It was fine.

There were many things to deal with, and I called and talked with many people, wrote many emails, and checked many documents. I ended up overworking till 21:50 and came home after midnight.

Today it is a new moon, and a good time to think of wishes. But the void time started soon. So, I decided to postpone writing them until tomorrow.

2026.7.13

 It was rainy and cloudy. 

Another busy week has started.  I overworked till 9:20PM or so and came home around 11:30 PM. I had to stand in the train for one hour or so on my way back.

Every day something happens and I have to deal with those problems, and don' have time to think about the improvement of future projects.

I got a souvenir of Hokkaido from my colleague, which I have never tasted before. I am looking forward to having it near future.

I got some mails today. One of them was discounted travel invitation. It was attractive but I have visited most places, and the closest meeting spot is only for weekdays. Therefore, I have to give up.

2026.7.12

It was cloudy.

I stayed at home all day long.

In the morning there was a webinar.

I booked a hotel for the trip in September.

Present campaign of the 212th e-book was over. It ended up No. 1 in France and Japan. This was the first time my ebook became No. 1 in France. Therefore, I was so glad.

 I published the 213th e-book today. It is about my trip to Enoshima twice in June 2026. I published "Enoshima" last year as "My Trip" series.  From this time, I decided to publish the trip to Islands as "Amazing Islands" series.

It was fine.

I slept long.

Besides handing over the garbage duty package to the neighbor I stayed at home.

In the afternoon I attended a webinar after a long time, watched a recorded movie, cooked dinner after a week, I watched TV, and fell asleep.

When I got up, the final of ladies Wimbledon match was over, and it was time of Interview.

Top two were from Czech. Congratulations!

2026.7.10

It was fine.

I could not get up early; therefore, I took a later train as usual. 

There were so many things to deal with as usual and I overworked till 8 PM.

After that I went to Asakusa to visit the Senso ji temple for 46000 days which means if you visit on that day, it is counted you visited for 46000 days which is equivalent as 126 years. On July 9 and 10 there is Ground Cherry Market there, but when I arrived there, they were already closed.

I saw the beautiful Tokyo Sky Tree. So many colors version I saw tonight.

I also visited Asakusa shrine where had decoration of star festival.

To my glad my 21th ebook has been No. 1 France. This is the first time to be No. 1 in France.  I am so glad. Merci, merci, merci!

2026.7.9

 It was fine.

There was a visitor and I could listen to the real voice of the meeting she had yesterday.

After lunch time I went to post office today again. It was so hot outside. 

I overworked till 8:50 PM and came home around 10:45 PM. To my lucky I could sit from Shinagawa. For the past two nights I had to stand in the train nearly for an hour.

This morning on my way to the office on train I read some short novels for some chapters each therefore I could not finish the routine of ANA pocket and did it on my way back too. I feel most novels and movies have the same theme: love, money, betrayal, family, fame, etc.  I studied comparative literature when I was a graduate school student and I feel the meaning of importance of comparative literature now than that time.

 It was fine.

I was busy and overworked until nearly 10PM and came home later than 11:30 PM.

After lunch I went to post office in the Imperial Hotel.  There were sunflowers at the lobby.

To my glad my 212th e-book has been No. 1 in Japan.

I got a booklet of Aichi Myth I ordered recently. It was sent by smart letter package, and I was surprised to see the size. It was different from what I expected somehow, but I enjoyed reading it.

2026.7.7

July 7 is known as Tanabata (七夕), the star festival. Unfortunately, it is in the rainy season, and we cannot see stars tonight.

It is shosho (小暑), one of nijushisekki (二十四節気), 24 solar terms.  The last one was geshi (夏至) on June 21, and the next one is taisho(大暑) on July 23.  Shosho literally means small heat, and taisho literally means big heat.  It is the start of feeling heat.

I was busy as usual and overwork until 9:20 PM.  

In the late afternoon I went to buy shinkansen tickets for the participants at the Shimbashi station where is JR East. I asked the envelope for the tickets, but they said they stopped giving the envelopes.  The other day when I went to Shinagawa station where belongs to JR Tokai and bought some shinkansen tickets for the participants, they had envelopes. So, it was kind of surprise for me.  I feel like buying at Shinagawa station from the next time.

From today my 212th ebook campaign started.

From 9 PM there was a webinar, and I listened to it after work on my way home in the train like radio program.

2026.7.6

 It was cloudy but became slightly rain in the evening though I did not have to use an umbrella.

Another working week started and I overworked till 21:15 or so and came home around 23:00. I had only 20 minutes or so for lunch break.

My 212th e-book is now No. 4 or so in Japan. From tomorrow present campaign will start.

I saw the post of our group members at Facebook. He and I learned to be the modern guide of shrines about 6 years ago. I only held the shrine visiting event to collect money once since then but often held the events visiting shrines or temples and having lunch or afternoon tea or dinner wearing kimono for the past 6 years just to enjoy.  He has held shrine visiting events for 45 times and introduced shrines to 200 people since then.  What a difference!  I have a job; therefore, I do not plan the event collecting money.  He owns a school; therefore, he can earn money by these kinds of tours.

We happened to sit next to each other when we attended the first shrine visiting event in Enoshima.  Since that time, we often met at other events. He was an actor for his friend's film, and I said I was very interested in movie making.  And about one year and a half ago I appeared as extra for his friend's movie with him as his wife, and this year I also appeared in another movie with some phrases.  I am very looking forward to seeing the movie near future.

 It was cloudy.

I stayed at home all day long.

There were two visitors, one was a postman for re-delivery, the other was a neighbor who brought the notebook for garbage duty for a week.

I did many small things I have not done for the past few weeks.

Happy 4th of July!!

Happy 250th Anniversary of the founding of the nation!

It was fine in the morning but became rain in the evening.

After eating brunch, I went to Yokohama to attend a monthly seminar.  Before going there, I visited Iseyamakotai jingu, and after the seminar I visited the Naritasan Yokohama branch.

After that I went to the beauty salon after two months.

After that I had dinner and went to grocery shopping.

At night I watched a recorded movie on TV which was taken in 2007. Therefore, actor and actress look younger than they are now, and there was even famous actor who has already passed away.

2026.7.3

It was fine and cloudy.

I have been busy and overworked till 9:40 PM or so and came home around 11:40 PM.

There was something I wanted to do after finishing the one that due date is today, but unfortunately, I finished it after 9:30, so I could not do at all. Maybe next week.

Usually, I wait for the starting train to sit at the Shinagawa station, but I have not waited for two days and had to stand for more than 1 hour or so in the train on my way home.

It was too late when I came home, and I did not feel like cooking and skipped eating dinner but ate some sweets. This lifestyle is not good.

2026.7.2

It was raining heavily in the morning so that I decided to bring the new umbrella.  But in the afternoon, it stopped raining and I did not have to use it.

Today we had a visitor from France and enjoyed lunch together. 

In the afternoon I went to post office to send certified mails. At that time, it was already cloudy.

In the evening we had a visitor and I have talked with her for an hour or so and got various information to deal with.

I overworked till 8:50 PM and came home around 10:45 PM.

It was another long working day.

2026.7.1

 A new month has started.

July is shichigatsu (7月, 七月) or fuzuki (文月) in Japanese.

Today is the first day of the second half of 2026.

On the first day of the month there are some rituals for me to do such as to post the calendar of good days, to change plants, rice, salt of the inhouse shrine, to change the 5 mounted salt in house, and to visit the nearby shrine as otsuitachi mairi (お朔日参り).

I got up earlier to do these, and I took a later train than usual.

It was fine in the morning but became rain in the evening.

I worked at the office until 11 AM and went to the Haneda Airport to meet participants of the program around 1 PM. I took one of them to Shinagawa station and after that I went back to the Haneda Airport again to meet another participant around 7 PM. It was rather hard.

I had lunch at a Japanese restaurant in Haneda with my colleague.  It was a good chance to talk about us besides work. We had something in common.

I came home around 10:00 PM or so.

2026.6.30

 The last day of June. It was fine.

On June 30 there is a shinto ritual called "Nagoshi no oharae" at shrines. There is a custom called "Chinowa kuguri" passing through the straw ring built in front of the main hall. The route is first counterclockwise, second clockwise, third counterclockwise saying mantra.

Last Sunday I went to Enoshima shrine and did this. This is a ritual to cleanse away the grime accumulated over the past six months.

It is the full moon tonight. 

I overworked till 9:30PM or so and came home around 11:30 PM and saw the beautiful strawberry moon.
