A new month has started. September is kugatsu (九月) in Japanese. The old name is nagatsuki (長月), literally long month, meaning long night month.
It was hot in the morning, but rained later.
We will have a local festival next weekend, therefore our community member got together at the precinct of the shrine in the morning and cleaned the area. Some people cut the grasses, other people gathered them to burn. Smokes were so thick and tears came out one after another.
