It was cloudy and cold in the morning, and it slightly rained in the evening.
There was an explanation meeting for the evacuation training next week. After that there was a demonstration of how to use the "Carry dun" and some people actually practiced.
Do you know "Carry dun"?
It is an evacuation chair for those who cannot move by themselves.
They say the demand for these goods has been increasing since the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami happened on March 11, 2011.
It is foldable and installed at the wall, and weighs about 22kg, which is rather heavy to carry by a woman .
I tried both to carry and to be carried. It was not difficult to handle on the stairs, however to set the position and start it were a little bit difficult.
We could manage under the drill situation. However I wonder if we can manage at the time of emergency because there might be obstacles on the way and it may be dark without lights.
In any case it was a good experience.
