A new month has just started. May is go gatsu (五月) in Japanese. It is my favorite month because of my birthday and comfortable climate. May is also called Satsuki (さつき) in Japanese. If you know somebody whose name is Satsuki, ask her birthday, maybe she was born in May.
A catch phrase of May is "kaze kaoru gogatsu (風薫る五月)," which means May is the month of early summer breeze.
Birthstone is emerald and jade.
This year today was the first day of the 5 consecutive holidays. Therefore it was the peak of the traffic jam of transportation such as roads, railways, and flights to go far away.
