My birthday is May 8, but today I got some presents from my colleagues, though I got a message card last Friday. I love receiving message cards very much.
I like to celebrate birthdays on their actual birthdays, so I try to send the message to be delivered on birthdays. But sometimes it is difficult because if it is colleagues' birthday and if it falls on Saturday or Sunday, we won't see each other.
When I was in Florida, my host mother taught me many things. One of them is "extended birthday." It is to celebrate not only on birthday but also other days maybe for a month or so. Don't you think it is nice? Since that time, I like extended birthday.
