四月十八日(shigatsu jyuhahchi nichi): April 18

They say April 18 is hatsumei no hi (発明の日), Day of Invention. It was established by the Japan Institute of Invention and Innovation (JIII) in 1954. On April 18, 1885, the first patent regulation which was the origin of patent law was issued.
Talking of invention, I think of Thomas Alva Edison first. He had invented about 1,300 things in his life. His most famous saying is "Genius is one percent inspiration and 99 percent perspiration."
When I visited the Edison & Ford Winter Estates in Fort Myers, Florida, I bought a magnet written as " There is always a way to do it better... find it!"
Here is a picture of Edison and me!?
