It was fine in Tokyo but became cloudy when we headed for Aomori and slightly rained between Shin Aomori and Aomori. It was already dark and chilly when we arrived at Aomori station.
I came to Aomori on a business trip. It's been more than 28 years since I came here last. It was summer and my good friends from high school and I came here to see the Nebuta festival in August.
Today we hired a taxi. When we just arrived at the Tokyo station, the fare meter changed. It seems the additional cost yen 410 for picking up was added to the meter charge. If you book, another yen 400 will be added. There are many taxis passing just in front of our building, so we'd better use them to save cost.
We took 14:20 shinkansen arriving at Shin Aomori at 17:29 and we changed the train to Aomori. The doors of the train are not automatic because of coldness.
After checking in the hotel, we went out for dinner and enjoyed eating and drinking the local foods such as 4 scallop dishes, raw fish, shellfish, squid, black garlic, Japanese sake, and so on.
After that we walked to the sea. The moon was very beautiful.
