The new Tohoku Shinkansen car "Hayabusa" (はやぶさ) has debuted between Tokyo (東京) and Shin Aomori (新青森) for 3 hours 10 minutes, the fastest ever. It runs at 300km per hour between Morioka (盛岡) and Utsunomiya (宇都宮). It will run at 320 km per hour in the spring of 2013.
They say there are first class cars "Gran Class." Today's tickets were sold out in 10 seconds on February 5 when the tickets were started to sell.
From the early morning, there were more than 1500 train fans got together at the Tokyo station to see the first run.
I hope to ride it someday.
