It is a national holiday called taiiku no hi (体育の日), Sports Day today. It used to be on October 10 to commemorate the opening of the Tokyo Olympic Games in 1964. However since 2000 it has become the second Monday of October. We usually have a fine day on October 10, but today the biggest typhoon No. 19 is approaching and it has been raining.
I was supposed to participate in the walking event but it was canceled yesterday due to the typhoon.
There were many things done in the daytime at home.
In the evening I went to attend a training camp though I did not stay overnight.
