Nadeshiko Japan will be given the People's Honour Award (国民栄誉賞: kokumin eiyo sho). Some sports men and women have received the award before, but as a group this will be the first case.
To have become a world cup champion made Japanese people encouraged, especially those who had damages by the Great Earthquake on March 11.
