It was fine and hot.

In the afternoon my brother came home after four months or so. I thought he would tell me his experience around the world by Asuka II but before that he brought a surprising news. He happened to call my uncle but knew that he passed away on June 30. RIP.

I went to vote after visiting the nearby shrine. When I went shopping after that I  happened to see him again there,

There was a zoom meeting for IWPG at 5pm and another from 8pm. There was a webinar at 9pm. 

To my glad my 173rd ebook became No.1 in Germany,

It was fine.

There was an accident at the nearest intersection, and another on my way to the office in the morning, and I could not reach at the office by 8:45.

At night I watched a movie on TV.

There was a sad news, a singer and actress Miho Nakayama, 54 years old, was found dead in her bathroom today.

Yesterday Japanese Sake Brewing was registered as the 23rd Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO since 2022.

It was fine and hot.

It's been 23 years since the 911 happened.

But I did not hear any news about it. 

The only news from the USA was TV presidential debate.

I talked with friends over the phone after two years.

 

My 131st ebook became No.1 in Japan.

Weather forecast said it would be hot today, but it was not so hot as I imagined.

These days the sunset time became earlier and when I go home it is already dark and I can't see the sunset.

At lunch time I could manage to arrange the date of repair of the cooking heater.

At nght I made the 103rd e-book.

They said Sota Fujii won the Oza match and became the champion of the eight greatest titles as the first and the youngest player. Congratulations!

It was rainy in the morning, but it became fine.

Princess Mako, 30 years old, got married and the couple had a press interview. There was no wedding ceremony nor reception which is rare. They will go to the USA after her passport is ready.

i decided to start the free promotion of the 27th ebook from tomorrow because tomorrow is one of the luckiest days in this year and the start of the reading week.

It was fine and rather warm.

The number of the infected people in Japan and Tokyo is increasing. It exceeds 2200 people per one day nationwide.In Tokyo it was 493 who are newly diagnosed, and it is a new record.

Another news I was surprised was clams on the beach in Kujyukurihama. They don't know the reason why it happened.

2019.10.13

It was fine after the typhoon No.19.

According to TV news it left a great deal of damages here and there especially near the rivers. It seems this was a recordmaking heavy rain and tragedy.

I wrote the draft of my 7th ebook in the morning.
In the afternoon I went grocery shopping and filled up my car.

I booked the flight, bus, and hotel for the trip next month. There is still something to do.

The great news of today was the win of Japan Team at the Rugby World Cup against Scotland by 28-21 and became the 8th for the first time. Congratulations!

It was fine and hot.

In the morning a bad thing happened. I arranged a meeting the other day, but one of the members did not show up without notice today.  I felt bad about the person.

But with my good friend's help, I felt better. How nice to have a good friends!

In the afternoon I went to Jimbo cho. Since I had time before the appointment I walked around.

At night a surprising news was announced. Mr. Shinjiro Koizumi is appointed as Minister of Environment. He is 38 years old and he is the third youngest Minister ever.

It was cloudy.

From the morning there were so many things to do today.

After work two big news arrived. 

One is good, the other is sad. The former is the chance to take. The latter was the death of my tea master. He is in his mid 90s. So I knew someday we would  encounter this news. When I saw a movie about tea ceremony the other day, I felt like going to see my tea masters. If they have the first tea ceremony next year, I was going to attend by all means. But it won't happen any more.

I pray for the soul of my master.

It was a rainy day.

I took a day off to prepare the dacuments for inheritance tax.
They were somehow comlicated and difficult to do in a short time.

There was a big news today. The professional baseball player Ichiro Suzuki broke the historic record of
4256 hits. It is great.

2015.11.4

It was very fine and Mt. Fuji looked so beautiful from my house in the morning and from the office at sunset.

It was the first day after 6 days off so there were many things to be handled at work.

In Japan there were many news too.

One of them happened at the stock market. Japan Post Group went public on the stock market.  There are three group companies and all of them had higher prices than expected. I wanted to book but they were so popular and few so it was impossible.

Another news attracted me was the case of using different surnames for married couple, fufubessei (夫婦別姓). In Japan if you marry, usually women change their surname to husband's name.  It is kind of discrimination.  I support having different surnames if they wish because one's name is very important to identify oneself. Why do only women have to change their names?
They say Japan is the only country that insists to have the same family name when married.

2015.8.21

It was fine and hot.

I stayed home and started clearing father's goods. It will take a while to finish.

In the morning on newspaper I knew that Tokaidai Sagami high school (東海大相模高校) of Kanagawa prefecture  became a champion at the high school baseball championships after 45 years.

2015.2.29

It was very cold this morning.  I saw the ice on the puddle in Tokyo.  I thought it might snow but did not.  The weather forecast said it would snow even in Tokyo tomorrow.

I was rather busy at work today.  When busy, it seems many more things to be done would come.

I saw the sport news at night and knew Ichiro would move to Florida Marlines at the age of 41. 

Both Washington State and Florida State are the places I used to live, so I am glad to hear that.

It was fine.

I have just watched a news program.
There were many news and I was surprised at elephants' attacking cars in Thailand.
I thought they were tame but weren't.

Elephant is zo (象) in Japanese.

2014.11.18

It was fine but very cold.
Sunset was very beautiful.

There was an accident at the JR Keihintohoku line and the JR Yamanote line also stopped and they were delayed for a while on my way to work.

One of the most famous Japanese actors, Ken Takakura (高倉健) passed away on November 10 at the age of 83. He acted in 205 movies.

Two years ago on this day one of the most famous Japanese actresses Mitsuko Mori (森光子)passed away at the age of 92.

And five years ago on this day another famous actor Hisaya Morishige(森繁久弥)passed away at the age of 96.

It was rainy.

I went to work today.  This was the first time to work on Saturday since I started working in April.

After work I went to Yokohama to get massage.  I was surprised to see one of my friends there.  I try to go there once a month.  It takes for  about 2 hours and costs yen 8,000.
 Then I went to Kamioooka to buy a book recommended the man next to me last night.   It was a nice day.

After the three day weekend, I was rather busy today.

 

At lunch time there were rather big earthquakes.  Usually I watch NHK 's morning drama's rebroadcast at my lunchtime, but the earthquake related news continued and I did not have a chance to see it at that time.  When I came home, I watched the recorded one.

It was fine and very hot.

I could see the beautiful Mt. Fuji this morning. They say the fall season of the Diamond Fuji started.  I hope to take a picture of the Diamond Fuji someday.

At the Pan Pacific Swimming Championships, Mr. Kosuke Hagino (萩野公介), 20 years old bronze medalist of London Olympic, became a champion for men's 400 meters individual medley relay at 4:8.31. Congratulations!

It was fine and very hot in the morning, but became cloudy in the evening as the weather forecast said.

I am now watching sports news on TV.  It was 5th day of 2014 July Grand Sumo Tournament in  Nagoya.  They say Yokozuna Kakuryu (横綱　鶴竜) lost by Egyptian Hiramaku (平幕) sumo wrestler Osunaarashi (大砂嵐).   This is called kinboshi (金星), literally gold star.  He is a Muslim and now it is the time of Ramadan but he won. 

Another big news was the announcement of Akutagawa Prize and Naoki Prize, which are most famous Japanese literary awards given twice a year.

2014.2.9

It was fine today.  Snow has been partially melted by the morning.  They say it was the heaviest snow in 45 years  or so in Tokyo and it piled up to 27cm or so.  Trains stopped and afternoon flights were all cancelled yesterday.  But it was a beautiful day today.

There was a final game of women's Mogul today.  Ms. Aiko Uemura (上村愛子) has participated in this event since 1998 Nagano Olympic when she was 18 years old and was ranked in the7th for the first time, then next 2002 Salt Lake City ranked in the 6th, 2006 Trino ranked in the 5th, and 2010 Vancouver ranked in the 4th, then 2014 Sochi we expected her to get the medal.  However she finished as 4th again.  Though she did not get the medal, she looked satisfied with her performance.  So we should say "Congratulations!"

As another big news, there was a Tokyo gubernatorial election.  Mr. Yoichi Masuzoe (舛添要一) won the election and became a new governor of Tokyo.
