A new month has started. June is rokugatsu (６月), the sixth month. Its old name is minazuki (水無月), meaning the month without water because of drought.
June 1 is known as koromogae (衣替え), clothing changing. In most junior high schools and senior high schools, school uniforms are changed from winter one to summer one on June 1. But today it was rather cool to wear a half-sleeves shirt.
