It was cloudy and fine.

I attended the laughter yoga in the morning.

I went to my parents' graveyard next. The shop there was changed the layout.

After that l went shopping for the New Year's such as flowers, decoration rice cakes called Kagami mochi（鏡餅）, decoration for the entrance, and foods. Everything looked more expensive than usual. 

After having quick lunch I attended a zoom event for two hours or so in the afternoon.

After that I washed windows and car, and prepared for the new year.

At night I had the 16th fortune sharing tea party. 

There is one thing I wanted to buy within this year, so I was wondering if I should go shopping tomorrow or not. To my glad I could order by internet without shipping fee.

I could save time and money for tomorrow.

It was fine.

I made the New Year‘s cards finally. The reason for this delay was I wanted to include my accomplishment of this year's five Benzaiten visit in my message.

In the evening I went to post office to post them.

If I could post by December 25, they will be delivered on the New Year's Day.

I am not sure when they will be delivered.

But anyway I felt relieved to finish one of the biggest "to do list" things at the end of the year.

After that I went shopping.

There are stil lots of things to be done within the year.

It was fine.

　

I went to Enoshima in the afternoon.

I wanted to visit there this year by all means because I have visited four great Benzaiten out of five, and the last one was Enoshima which is the closest.

I visited temples and shrines with my friend.

I was surprised to see tulips full in bloom.

I am glad to take a hot spring bath finally.

Illuminations were beautiful.

To my glad my 60th ebook became No.1 in the USA and Japan.

It was fine, and Mt. Fuji looked beautiful.

I went to Jimbocho in the afternoon. Appointment was at 3 pm. 

After that I went to Kagurazaka to visit a temple where enshrines Bishamonten（毘沙門天）Vaisravana because today is the day of tiger of the year of tiger and I wanted to visit somewhere related to Bishamonten.

After that I went to Nihonbashi to see a Japanese movie "Tsuki no michi kake（月の満ち欠け）" which means phase of the moom. It was about reincarnation and true love.It was a nice movie.

I came home around11:30 pm.

It was fine, and Mt. Fuji looked beautiful covered with snow.

I attended Laughter yoga in the morning. There was a participant from the USA.

After that I attended a seminar. The speaker was from South Korea. Both were Japanese. 

It’s so international these days, isn't it?

Present campaign of the 58th book was over this evening.

To my glad the 59th ebook is No.1 in Japan and the USA now.

In the afternoon I cleaned the garden a little bit because I thought tomorrow is the collection day of branches, grasses and leaves. But it won't.

Merry Christmas!!

It was fine and Mt. Fuji looked so beautiful in the day time, but rained for a while at night.

 

There was a community work of cleaning around the shrine to welcome the new year.

Besides this I stayed at home.

I was going to attend a seminar in Tokyo but since I still have a lower backpain I attended the zoom session instead.

Today I published my 60 ebook today.

I am giving my 58th and 59th ebook now.

It was cloudy and rainy in the morning, but became fine in the afternoon.

 

Today is toji (冬至), winter solstice, one of the nijushisekki(二十四節気), the 24 solar terms. The last one was taisetsu (大雪) on December 7, and the next one is shokan (小寒) on January 6.

On toji we eat pumpkin, and take a yuzu bath.

This morning I atteded a new year's decoration making lesson sponsored by the city. It was interesting, and I learned what I have been wondering.

At night I attended two zoom sessions.

I published my 59th ebook about my trip to Kagawa which is the fourth book of my trip to Chugoku & Shikoku series.

In the afternoon I watched a movie "Nikita" on TV.  I have seen it before but did not remember the contents at all.

It was fine.

I have had a lower back pain so that I stayed at home all day long.

In the morning I had free 30 minutes consultation which reminded me of my dream of early 20s and the impact of my living in Europe for a year from March 1992 to March 1993.

In the afternoon I watched a movie on TV.

At night I attended a zoom event which was very interesting.

I had made some friends.

I am not a big fan of soccer, but I watched the final match of FIFA World Cup 2022 on TV. It was a really nice game. Argentina won after PK to France. It was the third time for them to be a Champion after 36 years. Congratulations!!

After that I went to bed.

In the morning I went to health check.

In the afternoon I watched a movie on TV.

I prepared the 59th ebook.

It was fine.

There were many things to do today, but because of the lower back pain I gave up going out and canceled three things and stayed at home all day long instead.

I published the 58th ebook about Ehime.

To my delight my 57th ebook became No.1 in the USA.

In the afternoon I attended a zoom calligraphy seminar to write new year's cards.

Tonight there was the final episode of a year around NHK‘s TV drama of the 13 Lords of the Shogun. It is about Kamakura era which is the history of the 12th century of this area. Characters and stories were somehow different from the one I Iearned at school.

It was cloudy and cold in the morning, and became rain in the afternoon.

I have had a lower back pain since yesterday and I stayed at home all day long.

In the morning I had 30 minutes free appraisal by the Mayan Calendar.

I made two applications in the afternoon, and the 58th ebook.

Present campaign of the 56th was over and the 57th started.

To my delight the 57th ebook became No.1 in Japan in some travel and foreign language sections.

At night I attended the Kick off zoom meeting of the new organization. There were more than 110 participants.

It was fine.

In the morning I twisted my body 

and had a lower back pain.

I attended a zoom tea party for 90 minutes in the morning. It was the 101st tea party after 6 months for the organizer. There were 5 participants.Through three questions we remembered our mission of life. It was a nice opportunity.

In the afternoon I watched a Japanese movie on TV.

Today was the last day of my duty of the  garbage station of our community. There are 30 households, so that I will be in charge in July or so next time.

At night I talked with my friend by Line for nearly an hour. It is free. How convenient the life has become!

It was fine.

Usually I visit the nearby shrine on the first day and the 15th day of the month, but there deadline, and I stayed at home all day long besides checking the garbage station because I am in charge of the garbage station this week.

At night I attended two semimars.

I missed watching the half of the TV program, but I could watch it throgh TVer.

How convenient the life became!

Last night I saw some shooting stars.

It was rainy in the morning but became fine.

I stayed at home all day long.

I went to Yokosuka to submit the documents.

I went shopping too.

It was fine but became cloudy.

I walked to the station and went to a restaurant in China town to attend a reunion of the high school classmates.

Seven out of 45 attended. 

We enjoyed talking and eating.

After that I went shopping and got together with them again at the Yokohama Stadium. It was open to public.

After saying good bye I went to Yokohama to see a Japanese movie.

I came home by taxi.

At night I attended a webinar and a zoom seminar.

It was fine.

I have had a cold for a week, and have been wondering if I should go out or not.

Since I did not have a fever, I decided to go.

First I went to Takara cho to attend a tea party of Five elements of yin and yang study. There were three participants and a lecturer and two hosts. We were told our mission of this life.

After that I went to Roppongi. There are some places I go whever I go to Roppongi and I could visit most of them.

First I visited Fuji Film Square, second I went to see the strings art exhibition at the National Art Center Tokyo.

Third I visited two shrines.

Fourth I went to the Roppongi hills to send a Christmas card for the next year.

There were two movies, but the earlier one was sold out and I gave up. I went to Ginza via Hibiya to see another movie. 

On my way to the station, I bought a sweet.

I came home around 8:20pm.

It was an eventful day.

I published my 56th ebook about My Trip to Chugoku & Shikoku Vol.1 :  Shimane 2022.

To my delight it became No.1 in Japan.

I attended the Laughter Yoga. We enjoyed talking about Waterfall Training after the lesson. I hope to try it next summer.

I stayed at home all day long.

In the morning I talked with my teacher for an hour over the phone. We used Line so that it was free. How convenient!

At night I attended a zoom seninar of Personal Star. It is  a kind Psychology judged by birthdate.

It's been a long time since I met the lecturer last.

Today is the fullmoon.

It was fine.

I left home around 8:30 am and went to Yokosuka chuo.

After that I went to Hibiya to see a movie "Tenmaso no san shimai (天間荘の三姉妹)" Three sisters of Tenmaso Hotel. I wanted to see it earlier but didn‘t have a chance, and there is only one or two theaters showing in Tokyo now.

So I am glad to see it finally.

After that I visited a school in Shinjuku.

At night I had a monthly meeting for two hours.

I went to have supper after that.

It was an eventful day.

It was cloudy in the morning, but became fine later.

There was a World Cup soccer game between Japan and Croatia in the midnight though I did not watch.

My 54th present campaign ended at 16:59  with No.1 in the USA, the Netherland, Germany, and Japan. And the 55th present campaign started at 17:00. To my glad it is No.1 in Japan.　

In the afternoon I attended a zoom seminar from 1pm to 4pm. After that I happened to  receive a book from the lecturer which I ordered the other day. What a coincidence!  This is a present.

During the lecture I knew some students of his lecture published books. They were included in Kindle Unlimited so that I downloaded them.

What a nice system it is ! 

I have had a sore throat since yesterday. I felt better in the afternoon but I feel a sore throat again. So I‘d better go to sleep earlier.

It was cloudy and became rainy.

I attended the laughter yoga first.

In the afternoon I watched a movie "Sniper" on TV.

At night I attended a monthly exchanging events. There were four breakout rooms. First we introduce ourselves for 30 seconds and get appreciation for 60 seconds. I met some new people. 

I have sore throat now. I hope to get better.

It was fine.

I left my friend‘s place in the morning and came back home around 9:40 am.

I attended 5 zoom sessions of writing messages by using a fude pen from 10 am to 6 pm. Each session last for 90 minutes.

First three were Christmas messages of three different Characters: alphabet, hiragana, kanji.

The fourth was writing warm kanji characters such as dream, fortune, connection.

The fifth was birthday message.

I was glad to see the person I met about a year ago by the same kind of program again.

At night I watched the drama which l missed by NHK Plus. It is very convenient.

To my delight my 54th ebook became No.1 in the Netherlands and Germany.

It was fine.

I published the 55th ebook today. To my delight it became No.1 in Japan.

I left home around 9:30 am to go to Chichibu to attend the Chichibu shrine night festival.

It's been a long time since I visited there last time.

The station area has been changed a lot.

It was a long time dream to attend the night festival.  It was a bit different I have imagined. I am glad to see fireworks festival tonight.

There is no train back home. My friend kindly offered me the room to stay.

It was a good day.

A new month has started. December is junigatsu (12月or 十二月) or shiwasu (師走).

How fast time flies!! There is only one month left.

As a first day ritual, I changed the rice, salt, and plants on the Shinto shrine  and visited  the nearby shrine.

I went to see a movie in Yokohama and a beauty salon to have my hair cut and perm in Sugita.

Present campaign of the 53rd was over and 54th started.

There was a zoom event at night.

It was fine and warm in the morning.

First I attended the Laughter Yoga, then secret study group meeting.

To my glad my 54th book became No.1 in Japan.

I prepared for the application.

At night I had the 15th Fortune sharing meeting. There were four participants today.  We have been to many places this month.

 It was rainy in the morning.

I went to Kimono style Miya to have dressed.

I went to Chinzanso to attend Kimono related event with French Dinner and Concert of Ms. Sanae Sakata.

When I got there, it was already dark, and could not see the garden well, but the lightened part was beautiful.

I met some Kimono friends there.

Today the 52nd present campaign ended and 53rd campaign has started, and to my delight it became No.1 in Japan.

It was fine.

I started the day early.

Firstly we attended the morning ceremony at the shrine at 7 am.

Secondly we had breakfast around 8 am, and checked out around 10 am, and visited the accommodation which we could not stay by accident. Since we found that was caused by our friend's mistake, we went to apologize and pay the cancel fee.

After saying good-bye to my friends, I went to see the waterfalls and enjoyed hiking.

In the evening I went to Kawasaki to see a movie.

It was fine.

I left home around 8:30 am and headed for Musashi Miyake jinja shrine in Oume, Tokyo. My friend and I missed the bus, but we arrived at Mitake sanso around 1 pm. After visiting the main shrine we climbed up to the Okunomiya at 1077 meters high or so.

We had very delicious dinner.

At night we attend Yokagura (夜神楽), night performances for Gods. There were 4 performances. After that we bought bells which were very nice.

Today my 53rd ebook became No.1 in Australia.

November 23 is a national holiday called Kinro kansha no hi (勤労感謝の日), Labour Thanksgiving Day.

It used to be Niimamesai (新嘗祭) when the Emperor dedicated the new harvests  to Gods and thank, and ate them by himself too.

It was fine.

Today is shosetsu (小雪), one of nijushisekki (二十四節気), the 24 solar terms. Last one was ritto (立冬) on November 7 and next one is taisetsu (大雪) on December 7.

Shosetsu literally means small snow. It is a time of start snowing.

I watched a movie on TV in the afternoon.

At night I listened to "The Law of Attraction Summit" by Facebook live.

To my delight my 52nd ebook became No.1 in the USA, Australia and Japan.

It was raining rather heavily in the morning and I decided not to wear kimono though I wanted to.

However when my friend and I got to Yokohama, it stopped raining and became fine.

We went shopping first and had afternoon tea for lunch next. Price was yen300 higher than last year which was a surprise.

After that we headed for Iseyama kotai jingu where is today‘s main destination. My friend had a special prayer for business prosperity. There were many celebrations 

for Shichigosan and baby's first visit for shrine.

We visited Kimono-style Miya to ask for loundry and came home around 4pm.

I had a guest in the evening.

At night I attended a ZOOM seminar.

Present campaign of my 52nd ebook has started and to my lucky it is No. 1 in Japan.

It was a rainy day.

　

I stayed at home all day long.

There was a re-delivery of the post I ordered the day before yesterday or so. How convenient our life is these days!

I started preparing for the 53rd ebook about my trip to Kyushu Vol.1. There are many good pictures.

It was fine.

I went to Ueno to see an exhibition of Calligraphy first. When I was going out of the elevator, I happened to see a friend.  Her art work was exhibited at the different floor, and I went to see it too.

After that I went to Tameike sanno to attend a reunion of EXPO '92 held in Seville Spain to welcome a member from the USA. 

There was another surprise. Another member who has lived in the USA for 26 years came back and attended the reunion.

We enjoyed eating and talking a lot.

There were 14 people for lunch and 11 people for the second party.

After that I went to Ikebukuro to see a stage play because I got invitation tickets.

It was fun.

It was fine in the morning but became cloudy.

I published the 52nd ebook. It is the third book of "My Trip to Kansai” series and it is  about Kyoto  and Shiga.

At night I watched two movies on TV. One is animation, the other is a Japanese suspense movie which was released last year.

It was fine.   

My trip to Izumo and Hiroshima ended in 8th day after visiting many shrines, temples, museums and sightseeing places in 5 prefectures, meeting many old and new friends, eating delicious foods, and staying at various accommodations here and there.

I came home around 11:15 by night bus from Okayama to Yokohama. 

It was a nice trip except carrying a heavy suitcase.

After coming home I washed clothings and reading newspapers for a week.

There are many things to do.

It was fine.

November 15 is known as Shichigosan (七五三).

Families with daughters at the age of 3 and 7 and sons at the age of 5 usually visit shrines to wish their healthy growth. Usually those children dress up with kimono. They get some long stick candies called Chitoseame (千歳飴), meaning one thousand years candy.

I visited many shrines in Omishima (大三島) and Kotohira (琴平), but I did not see any celebration of Shichigosan.

Maybe they have already celebrated during the weekend.

Today l left the guest house around 8:30　am and visited Anaba jinja (阿奈波神社) shrine and Oyamatsumi jinja (大山祇神社) shrines including museums.

After picking up the suitcase I took a bus to Imabari and went to Kotohira by bus and trains. Unfortunately one of the casters of my suitcase was broken and I had a hard time here and there to move.

I visited the Kotohiragu (金刀比羅宮) finally.  Since I went up to Okunoin (奥の院), I missed the connection to my last train and decided to go back home by night bus from Okayama.

It was fine.

I checked out the hotel before 9 am.

My friend came to pick me up and we went to Izumo Oyashiro Hiroshima bunshi branch. It was big and beautiful. My friend decided to get a formal prayer.

After that we headed for Imose waterfalls and Okashira jinja shrine. This was the third time for us to visit there.

We headed for another waterfalls called Yubune no taki. It was difficult to find it.

After coming back to Hiroshima, we had lunch at a Chinese restaurant.

I took a Shimanani Liner bus at 15:30 and came to Omishma around 18:00.

It was fine.  

I went to the graveyard of my grandparents and uncles with my uncle and his wife. We went to a crab restaurant to have lunch which was very nice.

After that I visited Shukkeien, Art Museum, Hiroshima jo castle, and Gokoku jinja shrine with my high school friend who lives in Yamaguchi.

It's been 5 years or so since I met her last.

I ate local foods and sweets at night.   

It was a nice day.

It was rainy in the morning but became fine later.

I left the hotel before 7 am and arrived at Miyajima and enjoyed visiting many places, viewing yellow and red leaves and lighten  up places at night too.

I came back to the hotel around 8 pm.

I walked more than 30000 steps and felt tired.

At night there was a zoom event.

It was fine.

I went to Izumo Oyashiro early in the morning, had rich breakfast, changed to Kimono, and left for Miho jinja shrine.

We had formal prayer ceremony there and had lunch and visited Bukkokuji temple.

We came back to Izumo and I took a bus to Hiroshima.

I arrived 8:10pm and had dinner with friends. 

I will stay at Hiroshima for three nights.

It was fine.

I wore kimono and checked out the hotel and headed for Izumo.

The bus to Izumo was so crowded.

After leaving the carry case at Takenoya I walked to the Inasa no hama beach, to the first torii gate, and to a photo studio where I owed very much two years ago to greet. I visited the museum too.

At 2pm we got together and went to Izumo oyashiro to attend a special prayer and a festival.

The dinner at the Takenoya was so good.

There was a lecture at night.

It was fine.

I went to Yokosuka first in the morning.

After coming back I went to Shinagawa and bought a ticket to Matsue. I took Shinkansen Nozomi from Shinagawa to Okayama and took express train Izumo from Okayama to Matsue.

It was about 8 hours train trip.

After checking in the hotel, my friend and I had a delicious dinner.

The full moon was beautiful.

The present campaign of my 51st ebook has started. To my lucky it became No.1 in Japan.

It was fine.

I stayed at home all day long besides going out to see the total lunar eclipse at night.

It was a beautiful night without clouds and I saw the beautiful moon show. 

In the day time I prepared for the trip starting tomorrow. I checked the transportation. Usually I book the accommodation and transportation before the trip but this time I only booked the accommodation.

I hope everything will go well.

It was cloudy and partially rained.

Today is ritto(立冬), one of nijushisekki(二十四節気), the 24 solar terms. The last one is soko (霜降) on October 23, and the next one is shosetsu (小雪) on November 22.

Ritto literally means stand winter, it means the start of winter.

 

Today is tenshabi (天赦日), taian (大安), and a day of koshi or kinoene (甲子) which is the start of 60 days cycle. Today is supposed to be one of the best days of the year.

I published the 51st ebook today.

At night I attended a zoom exchange event.  There were many interesting people whom I met for the first time.

I wore kimono and went to Kimono Style Miya to have my hair set, makeup, dressed up, and pictures taken.

I went to Asakusa to see an event of Japanese mind with my friend.

We enjoyed the event and dinner.

I got a call from a college friend whom I have not heard anything for four years or so.  I was surprised to hear that it was from Thailand. Even if it is an international call, we can talk for free of charge. Isn't it wonderful?

A new month has started. November is juichigatsu (11月, 十一月) or shimotsuki (霜月), literally frost month.

It was cloudy and slightly rained.

I went to the nearby shrine as a ritual of the first day of the month.

My friend from Kyushu visited me and we went to Jogashima island. We walked a lot.

We ate tuna for lunch. It was volumy and delicious.

We visited Kainan jinja shrine too.

It was about five hour visit, we enjoyed talking and taking pictures a lot.

How was it?

I had a good month.

In the morning I had a zoom session.

In the morning I attended a tea party with whom I happened to see by the online event of the Dragon Gods Festival the other day. There were only the host and myself and we enjoyed talking a lot.

She can read my mission from the sound of my name.  There were four key words. They were Basic, Money, Myself, and Spreading out.

In the afternoon I joined a seminar about Natural Foods and Dietary Regimen. The program itself lasted for an hour.  After that three of us remained and talked about another three hours or so. It was the first time for me to see them but it was very interesting.

At night I enjoyed listening to Facebook live of the Film Director.

I stayed at home all day long.

Since today is the day of Tiger which is supposed to be a good day to deal with money related things, I transferred the program fee for next month's event.

The present campaign of my 48th ebook was over, and I published 49th ebook today.

At night I attended webinars, and hosted two zoom meetings.

It was fine and cloudy.

I stayed at home all day long.   

At night I held a zoom meeting.I made PowerPoint Slides after a long time.

After that I attended another zoom meeting of the study group. It was very interesting to hear everyone's progress after one year and three months.

I saw the TV drama which happened to start 90 minutes later because of the extension of a baseball game.

There are many things I hope to do tomorrow.

I watched a movie on TV while ironing in the afternoon.

At night I attended a zoom event of the Dragon Gods Festival. There were three breakout rooms sessions and three keynote speeches.

I wore Kimono and went to Roppongi to see an ex-colleague to get something.

When I go to Roppongi, there are three places I go, and I visited there: Fuji Film Square, Tenso jinja shrine, and Izumo taisha shrine Tokyo Branch.

Then I moved to Nihonbashi to have lunch,  visit shrines, and see the Kojiki performance with music, had supper with friends, and watched a Japanese movie.

It was a fruitful day.

I could complete something that have been pending for a while. I felt relieved.

I was fine.

I went to Nihonbashi to see an English movie "Downton Abbey A New Era." I have watched the TV series before.

Before entering the theater I happened to see the parade of the festival. After the movie I happened to see the portable shrine was going to the shrine precincts and watched the ceremony from the third floor.

I visited the shrine later.

After that I went to see the Flower Arrangement Exhibition of Sogetsu School. They were quite different from the traditional flower arrangement.

After having tea, I headed for Hibiya to see another English movie "Elizabeth.'”

I attended an online tour to four Northern European Countries cruise. I miss traveling abroad.

I attended the Laughter Yoga in the morning.  

I went to Yokosuka. They say it is 150th anniversary of the Saikaya department opened, and I happened to see the memorial musical performance there.

I had lunch with a friend whom I hoped to see at a Chinese restaurant which had my friend's pictures. 

After attending the meeting, I went to Kamioooka to see a movie "Spencer."  I feel sorry for Princess Diana.

At night I attended an Opportunity Meeting for a travel company.

Today is a day of snake which is supposed to be a good day to deal with money related things. So I registered web services for bank statement and credit card statement.

I attended a zoom seminar about understanding and writing by two writers for two hours at night which was very unique and informative.

I started planning for the Izumo trip.

I went to see my friend at a coffee shop nearby and had a seasonal new sweets.

After that I talked with a Facebook friend via zoom for the first time. It was fun to talk with someone who has something in common.

It was a rainy day.

After checking out, I went to the station and left the suitcase in a coin locker, and took a train to Nagahama.

From there I took a boat to Chikubujima and stayed there for 85 mimutes and visited temples and shrines.

After coming back I visited Ishiyamadera temple and Wakamiya hachimangu shrine.

I took 18:10 shinkansen back to Shinagawa, and came home around 23:30. 

It was a fruitful three day trip to Kansai.

It was fine.

I had breakfast, wore kimono, and checked out the hotel and moved to the next hotel. It was very close, but there were many one way roads and I could not cross.

After leaving a suitcase I took a train and visited the Mikane jinja shrine.  There was a waiting line.

I headed for Toji Templ, had a reharsal,  and had my hair set and dressed up.

I went to have lunch and walked around. 

There was a Kimono Fashion Festival after three years.

The five story pagoda was very beautiful at night.

I am glad it was fine and went well.

It was cloudy and fine.

I wore kimono and went to the nearby shrine as a ritual of the 15th of the month.

I headed for Shinagawa to get on Shinkansen bound for Kyoto.

I came to the hotel first to leave a suitcase and went to Omotesenke Kitayama Kaikan, Tea Ceremony museum. I have been a member of Omotesenke Tea school sect for a long time but this was the very first time to visit there.

After that I walked along the Kamo river to the bus stop and headed for Kodaiji Jugyuan to have dinner. We had very delicious dinner. There were maiko∼san and geiko∼san and we enjoyed their performance.

Today is the 150th anniversary of the first train running between Shimbashi and Sakuragicho.

After attending the Laughter Yoga, I went to the City Office to apply for National Health Insurance. It took about an hour and I had to change the later schedule.

I went to Yokohama to see a Japanese movie and headed for Shinagawa to pick up the train tickets.

I decided to visit Zojoji temple to get the red stamps called goshuin.

I prepared for the trip.

It was a cool rainy day.

I went to Mita to have a trial electronic massage for 30 minutes. It was the very first experience for me.

I went to Meguro to see the Luna Flora Exhibition.

On my way to the next destination, I happened to find a Mosque and an Indonesian school and was invited to see inside.  

I visited Otori jinja shrine where I usually visit on the day of Cock Market in November.

I went to the Hotel Gajoen Tokyo to have afternoon tea. We decided to see the 100 stairs and a special exhibition of the collaboration of the movie which will be released next week.

After having dinner at a very unique izakaya which you can fish and order.

Finally I visited the night exhibition of the Zojoji temple's Sanmon gate. They say to open at night is the first event in history.

My present campaign of the 47th ebook was over and it became  No.1 in the USA, Spain, the Netherlands, and Japan.

It was cloudy and rather cool.

I attended the Laughter yoga in the morning.

From 10 to 12 I attended a zoom session by a lecturer whose introduction session I took last night by chance. It was the very first session for her and she was very pleased that I was the very first person. She enjoyed seeing my pictures I posted on October 10, and listening to my adventures.

Since I got the necessary documents, I went to submit them. I dropped off the wrong station and walked farther than I was supposed to.

It took about two hours to have paperwork done.

I went to Tokyo to see friends after that. Before meeting I attended a zoom meeting of JOI Alumni coordinators for an hour.　

I had dinner with two friends and came back home by the last train.

Today is the 30th anniversary of closing the EXPO 92.  How fast time flies!!

I went to Ginza to have lunch at a Japanese restaurant. This was the second time to go there. This time I went there with ex-coworker whom we met at our mutual colleagues' wedding about 7 years and a half ago. How fast time flies!

After that I went to a travel agency, but they only accepted the booked customer so I could not consult.

So I decided to watch a Japanese movie at Kawasaki.

It was cloudy, rainy, and cool in the morning, but became fine in the afternoon.

I went to Toranomon to attend the annual festival of Kotohiragu shrine in the morning followed by a parade and traditional performances.

I met two friends there.

I missed eating the Thai food with friends.

I walked to Zojo ji temple and happened to attend the evening service.

I went to Jimbocho to have lunch with ex-colleagues. We seldom had chances to talk each other because we worked at the different floors. So it was interesting to know each other.

I am glad to do so because I heard the new information.

We moved to Ginza and attended the monthly meeting.

Four of us went to have dinner at a Taiwanese restaurant where we happened to find. We enjoyed eating and chatting.

Then I decided to see a French movie "Petite Maman" at Kawasaki. The Japanese title is “秘密の森の、その向こう(Himitsu no mori no, sono muko)” which means Beyond the secret forest. Quite different, isn't it?

It was fine.  

Today is the last day of my current work place where I started working from October 1, 2019.

I took a half day off and visited the headquarters. It was nice to say good-bye to those who worked together at the separate office directly.

My boss invited me to the farewell luncheon at the special restaurant for the members only. I was very glad to visit the restaurant and the bar which have nice view.

Many colleagues gave me nice messages and presents.

It was fine in Hokkaido, but rain when I got back. 

I left the hotel after watching the morning drama, took JR for 40 minutes, after arriving the airport, bought seafood lunch and had it on the plane.

To my lucky I was sitting at the window side and enjoyed the view.

We landed around 12:30 and took trains and came home safe and sound.

At night I had the bilingual Fortune sharing tea party. There were three and all of us love to travel and enjoyed sharing the travel experiences

I went to Hokkaido jinja shrine via Hokkaido Government which is under construction.

My power spot meister friend guided me the shrines. 

After that I went to have lunch with a friend whom I met for the first time. 

 

After that I visited another shrine and top of the City Office.  The view was nice.

I went to Hitsuji ga oka to see the statue of Dr. William Smith Clark. 

I bought many suvenirs.

After coming back to the hotel, I attended two Zoom events.

I left the hotel around 7:30 and headed for Niseko with friends by rent-a-car.

We stopped at Nakayama toge (中山峠) mountain pass where is famous for fried potato.

Yoteizan mountain looked so beautiful like Mt. Fuji.

We had lunch at an Italian restaurant and headed for the Conference venue. We arrived before noon, and the conference started at 13:00 and lasted until 17:30 or so.

After that we had buffet dinner.

I came back to the hotel around 22:20 or so.

I take four paid holidays from today.

I attended the Laughter yoga in the morning.

Today is the new moon. I wrote 10 wishes.

I visited the nearby shrine and went to post office to send a registered mail.

I headed for Narita Airport by 10:41 train and arrived at 13:16 changing once at Oshiage. 

I chose the Spring Japan for the first time. It uses Terminal 3 which is rather far from the station. They only accept two bags up to 7kg to bring in, so I had to check in a carry case. I changed the seat to window side and I could see Mt. Fuji.

I arrived around 16:40 and took a train to Sapporo.  It was hard to find a hotel. I went to my friend‘s izakaya with my friend.

After eating we visited TV Tower and Clock Tower. 

On my way to hotel I got a corn ice cream.

It was a nice day.

I went to my parents‘ graveyard finally. There were many people here and there because of the last day of the three day week end and good weather.

I had lunch with a friend after a long time at a restaurant nearby where I have never been to. We had a good time.

I was going to have lunch with my friend at Ginza. But my friend felt sick and canceled. So I decided not to go out and attended laughter yoga and tsutefude caravan by zoom instead. At night I attended Healing Marche.

My new e-book is released. Its title is "My Trip to Okinawa 2021.”  This is the first book of the new series "Visit Japan."

I love traveling but we cannot travel abroad easily now. So I have traveled around Japan. 

It is the 50th anniversary for Okinawa to return under Japanese administration.  NHK's morning drama "Chimu don don" is a story about the family from Okinawa.

It is a national holiday called shubun no hi (秋分の日), Autumnal equinox. 

It was cloudy but became rain.

For the past three years I have been to Osaka on this day to attend jissokan (日想観) at Shitennoji (四天王寺) temple but I decided not to go this year thinking of the next week.

I was wondering if I go to my paremts' graveyard or not, and decided to postpone.

So I stayed at home all day long and made a new book series about traveling around Japan.

Tonight I attended two zoom seminars.

I got an unexpected present from a faculty who cannot meet me on my last day next week. The picture of the bag was dragon and very impressive.  I am glad to receive a hand written message card.

There were some messages of having lunch and dinner this month.  It must be fum because it will be so many years since I met them last.

I overworked for an hour and came home later than usual.

In the morning I attended a laughter yoga lesson.

I felt relieved to confirm the flight and hotel for the next week to Hokkaido.

I was going to publish an e-photobook about sunlight from January to December 2021, but I found there were too many good pictures for just a month and I cannot choose for a book. So I decided to publish 12 books instead.

I am not sure when to start. I may start a new book series before that.

It was a national holiday called Keiro no hi (敬老の日), Respect for the Aged Day. It used be on September 15, but became on the third Monday of September to have a happy Monday system in 2003.

How old is the Aged in your country?

There are 36,270,000 people who are over 65 years old, which is 60, 000 more people than last year. It occupies 29.1% of the total population which is the highest ever.

There are 19,370,000 people who are over 75 years old, which is 720, 000 more people than last year. It occupies15.5% of the total population.

It was a rainy day.

I wore kimono and raincoat, and put the cover on the zori (草履) shoes for rain protection.

 

I went to Iseyama kotai jingu (伊勢山皇大神宮) shrine and Naritasan (成田山) temple first and visited Kimono-Style Miya to attend a walking lesson for the Kimono Fashion Festival in Kyoto next month.

After that I went to Ginza to see two art exhibitions which were very nice.

It was fine in the morning, but started raining at night.

The big typhoon No.14 is approaching. 

The first day of three day weekend.

I took the first train to go to Shinjuku to attend a bus tour to Niigata. We went to Yuzawa highland and Kiyotsukyo gorge.

I tried Bobsleigh for the first time.

I took a day off and went to Ueno to attend Minaru kane taisai (巳成金大祭) festival. I arrived around 9:30. Festival started at 10 am. I got a gold coin and a special gold stamped paper.

I went to Shinagwa to have lunch with an old  frind. It was a nice place.

I went to Kawasaki to see a movie "Bullet Train."

It was a nice day off.

There was a staff event and it was fun to communicate to those whom I usually do not work together.

After that I went to Yotsuya to attend JOI's 20th Anniversary event. I am the 5 th year JOI (Japan Outreach Initiative Program) coordinator.  It was fun to see old friends.

September 9 is known as Choyo no sekku(重陽の節句), double positive festival.

This morning we were saddened by the TV news from UK. Queen Elizabeth II passed away at the age of 96. RIP.

At night I watched a movie on TV. 

There is a bus tour I applied for July and canceled and changed the date and canceled and changed the date again. 

It was canceled again because of lack of the minimum number of participants. 

I decided to postpone again and attend another too on the same date.

Let's see what will happen!

Today is Hakuro (白露), one of nijushisekki (二十四節気) the 24 solar terms. The last one was shosho (処暑) on August 23, and the next one is shubun (秋分) on September 23.

Hakuro literally means white dew. It is the time the air becomes cool, and dew forms.

I was busy in the morning and took a half day off in the afternoon. I went to Roppongi first and Gotanda next.

There was an online event on my way home during my train ride. Unfortunately my battery did not last and I missed half of the program.

There were many guests at the office for reason and for greeting.

After lunch I went to post office to transfer. If you have an account at the post office, you can send for free of charge by using the account.  If you pay from the counter, handling charge is yen110. If you pay from convenience store, handling charge is yen 220. If you pay it by credit card, it costs yen 330. Surprising, isn't it ?

At night I watched a movie on TV, which I have watched before but did not remember the details.

A new month has started.

 September is kugatsu (9月 or 九月) the ninth month or nagatsuki (長月) the long month.

On the first day of the month I make it a rule to change the plants, rice, and salt of the house shrine called kamidana (神棚) and visit the nearby shrine to thank for the past month and ask for this month.

It was cloudy at first but rained heavily when I visited the shrine and decided to bring a big umbrella.

Today is nihyakutoka (二百十日), 210 days since risshun (立春), the first day of spring. It is the season of typhoon.

Today is the anniversary of the Great Earthquake in Kanto which happened in 1923 and lost 105,000 lives. 

Today is the Disaster Prevention Day. There were some training on the train.

This morning I made a photobook of August.

I held online bilingul fortune sharing tea party at night.This was the 12th meeting.That is I have  hald this meeting for a year.

At lunch time my boss, my colleague and I went to a French restaurant and had a nice lunch. 

In the afternoon I took a half day off and attended a seminar.

After that three of us went to have dinner. We have something in common and enjoyed talking.

I decided to go to Ueno to see the lotus flowers at the pond. The high season has already been over but I could see some of them.

After that I went to Yokohama to go to ATMs.

After that I went to Kurihama to have lunch and visited a shrine where I visit once a year around this time of the year.

After coming  back, I went grocery shopping.

At night I attended zoom seminars.

I am glad to have done almost everything I have planned.

After all I stayed at home all day long.

Today is the new moon. It is a good time to write wishes.

It is also ichiryumanbaibi (一粒万倍日), when is a good time to start something.

So I started making a new book.

On my way to office I downloaded an e-book. 

On my way back home I downloaded two e-books by the same author.

Those three books are enrolled in the Kindle Unlimited.

It is a very nice system. You can download and keep 10 books at Library for yen 980 per month. You do not have to bring heavy books around. lt is very convenient.

It was fine and hot in the morning, but rained with lightening in the evening.

In the morning I tried to charge PayPay but failed because I have already charged to the monthly limit which I was not aware of at all.

Today my 43rd e-book is still No.1 in the USA and Japan. I got a message about the beautiful picture. At first she thought it was taken in front of a stone lantern, but it was a big helmet. I was wondering if I should choose the picture as a cover or not. So I was glad to feel what I feel beautiful, other people also feel so.

I took a comp holiday of last Saturday.

I went to Roppongi in the morning. I was very surprised to find some restaurants changed.

I visited two shrines and the Fuji Film Square after a long time.

I stayed at home all day long.

I tried to clear things and found old pictures when I was studying at Washington State  University in 1996 and traveled Canada, Mexico and Peru in 1997 before coming home.

Facebook taught me I was cruising the Caribbean five years ago. 

I found JENESYS reports I have been looking for about a week or so which one of Myanmar participants asked me to send.

I am glad to find it and help her.

Usually I do not have to work on weekends, but there was once a year big event today and I went to work.

I was rather busy at office today.

After work I went to have dinner with friends. I found the restaurant through Internet and booked, and it was rather good.

I have met both of them before but this was the first time for us to get together in person because one of them lives in Hiroshima. Since we have studied together by online program since July 2021, we did not feel it was the first time.

I hope to have this kind of gathering whenever possible.

I happened to see the short movie of the shrine and mountain where I visited a week ago, and I happened to see the recruiting tour to experience of waterfall training.

I received a book from my friend from Hiroshima where is my father came from.

I went to the nearby shrine as a ritual of the 15th day.

And I went to Softbank in Sugita to ask about the Photo related memory and it took more than two hours.

At night I attended a zoom meeting.

Today is the 77th anniversary of the atomic bombing in Nagasaki. 

I took a day off and went to the Kimono Style Miya to have my pictures taken.

After that I visited shrines and temples. 

This Saturday I was going to take a bus tour but it was canceled again. I rebooked the same tour on another day. I hope it works.

Since it is the time of Obon, I went to my parents' graveyard.

After that I went to Shinagawa to see friends at the cafe which menu has been changed since May when I went there last time.

It was a rainy day. The typhoon No.8 is approaching and it rained heavily.

I booked a bus tour but it was canceled and moved to today, but it was canceled again.

In the morning I was struggling with the ID and Password issue at a company which I registered two email addresses. I am glad to find the first password finally.

It was the second day of the summer vacation. 

I stayed at home all day long. I called to book the IH heater cooking and did some paperwork.

I watched a movie on TV which I saw before but did not remember the details.

Today is a national holiday caIIed Yama no hi (山の日), Mountain Day.

I started the day early and took 6:25 train and went to Mitake (御岳) to visit waterfalls and Musashi mitake jinja (武蔵御嶽神社) shrine with my ex-colleague and her ex-colleague.

We took a bus, a cable car, and a lift. 

First we enjoyed seeing the Rengeshoma (レンゲショウマ), the Japanese native wild flower.

Second we got a lecture.

Third we had lunch.

Fourth two of us went to see the waterfalls.

Fifth I visited Musashi mitake jinja shrine.

We got together and took a cable car, a bus, and a train.

 

I came home around 20:20.

My 41st e-book  became No. 1 in the USA, the Netherlands, and Japan.

It was fine and hot.

Today is risshu (立秋), one of nijushisekki (二十四節気), the 24 solar terms. The last one was taisho (大暑) on July 23 and the next one is shosho (処暑) on August 23.

Risshu literally means stand fall which is the start of fall.

From today the greeting message changes from " shochu omimai moshiagemasu (暑中お見舞申し上げます) " to " zansho omimai moshiagemasu (残暑お見舞申し上げます)."

I stayed at home all day long and cleared unnecessary things finally.

It was fine.

Today is the 77th anniversary of the atomic bombing in Hiroshima which killed tens of thousands of people in the World War II. 

There are still many people suffering from the event.

I hope the World becomes peaceful soon. 　　

They say today is the day of ham because of the pronunciation of August 6 which is written as 86.  

I went to the beauty salon to have my hair cut and permed. 

I changed the smartphone finally.I hope I can take better pictures for a long time.

After that I went to Gotanda to attend the monthly meeting which was exciting as always.

It was cloudy and cooler than yesterday.

I walked to the station to drink tonight.

I took two hours off to see a special Japanese cultural event in Nihonbashi. There were kimono shows and other cultural exhibitions.

Since I had an appointment from 20:30 at Shinagawa, I had to leave there before ending.

I had crab dinner.

Since I missed the last train, I had to take a taxi which cost yen 5,000.

It was a rainy day.

Sometimes it rained heavily with thunder.

On my way home from the train I Iistended to a zoom seminar of traveling. It'sbeen a long time since I saw the instructors.

My impression was information is important.

To know or not to know makes a big difference to our lives.

It was fine and hot. In the afternoon there were thunders, but it did not rain so much in Tokyo.

They say it rained heavily in Yamagata, Iwate, Aomori, and Niigata. The roads became like rivers.

I attended a zoom healing exchange meeting tonight. There were three breakout rooms and triere three different healing method.

At lunch time I went to a bank. I was surprised to see that windows of the first floor were closed. I did not know what has happened and visited another bank to ask, but they did not know either. I returned and went into the ATM places and found that there were stairs to go up and could deposit as planned and felt relieved.

At night I had a monthly meeting. This was the 11th times. It started later than planned, but there were four participants. I was moved to hear the member's personal history.

I was going to take a bus tour to Shizuoka, but it was canceled due to the lack of the minimum number of participants.

Instead I went to Kawasaki and watched four movies by stock holder's free tickets.

First was a Japanese movie titled "Plan 75" which deals with the problem of the aged people.

Second was a Korean movie directed by a Japanese director titled "Broker" which deals with the life of a baby.

Third was a Norwegian movie titled "The Worst Person in the World" which deals with a life of a woman with lovers.

Fourth was an American movie titled "Elvis." It is a true story of Elvis Presley who passed away at the age of 42.

Birth, love, marriage, family, divorce, sickness, work, money, death.  These are universal themes of living. Stories are unlimited.

To my glad my 40th e-book became No.1 in the USA. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

In the morning it rained heavily and the train delayed.

In the evening, it seemed trees fell on the railway and many trains were stopped on my way back. To my lucky I could come back home as always.

I wore kimono and went to Kainan jinja shrine to have a formal visit in front of the newly built Konpiragu.

After that we went to Deguchiso to have dinner.

After that I visied the nearby shrine where I visited a long time ago.

I went to Gumyoji to pick up the zori shoes which I asked for repair a few weeks ago.

There is a shopping arcade on the way and I  bought bags and an umbrella on my way back.

I stayed at home all day long though I was planning to go out...

But since there were lots of things to do, it became a good holiday.

Today is Doyo no ushi no hi (土用の丑の日), the day of ox during 18 days before the first day of fall. There are four doyo in a year, but usually we mean the summer time. At this time we eat eels.This custon started from Edo era.

I prepared publishing the new book.

In the morning I was going to attend a zoom gathering event but I did not attend after all.

I sent some pictures to my friend by Line, but it did not become "read." So I have been wondering why. She said she had three Line accounts because she could not transfer the data well.

Happy 30th Anniversary of the Japan Day in Expo ' 92!!

There are three important dates while I was working at Expo'92 in Seville, Spain. 

April 20 for the opening, October 12 for the closing, and July 20 for the Japan Day.

My colleague who lives in Spain sent us the news article there.

There was a video which reminded me of the 7 months in Seville.

It was cloudy.

I missed my station in the morning but was glad to be in time by taking the different route.

I gave a souvenir from Kyoto. It was a special version of Otabe for Gion festival. It was tasty.

I ate konnyaku which was made by the owner of the Inn I stayed on Sunday. I have never thought of making those ingredient at home, and I was very surprised abd impressed.

I felt tired and fell asleep at sofa st night.

It was fine.

We attended a morning ceremony at Tenkawa dai benzaiten shrine, and came back to the Inn to have breakfast.

The owner kibdly took us to the bus stop where is about 3.2km away.

We took a train and visited Kashihara jungu shrine which has a long history

We met our mutual friends and came back to Tokyo together. It was really lucky because only I had a seat reservation and other two bought tickets this evening. Most of the seats were occupied and only the seat next to me was available.

We were very lucky.

It was cloudy at frst but became fine.

I started the day early.

I checked out the hotel around 6:10 am and took 6:35 am train to Nara.

Today's destination is Tenkawa dai benzaitensha (天河大弁財天社), which is one of the fifth biggest Benzaiten enshrined shrine in Japan.  Others are in Miyajima in Hiroshima, Chikubujima in Lake Biwa, Enoshima in Kanagawa, and Kinkazan in Miyagi. I have been to all of them. So this is the last destination for the five biggest Benzaiten visiting.

There was the biggest festival in a year. Unfortunately I could not join the formal ceremony which only limits 120 people or so.

However I could participate in the fire ceremony  and Noh performance, which were really nice.

After that I went to Mitarai Valley to see some waterfalls, where are very beautiful.

After having dinner, my friend and I went to hot springs. There were so many people there.

I had a fruitful day.

It was cloudy, and beame fine.

I left home before 8am and arrived at Kyoto around noon.

I left the carry case at the hotel and went to Kifune jinja shrine, which I missed in March.

I visited three shirnes, and came back by different way to buy sweets, and visited Shimogamo shirne and headed for Yasaka shrine to see Iwami kagura.

Unfortunately I could not see my friend and have good dinner, instead I enjoyed visiting other shrines.

After checking in the hotel, I tried shakyo (写経).

I had walked a lot.

It was a rainy day.

I went to the nearby shrine before going to the office as the 15th ritual.

There was a recording event, and we ordered the delivery sandwiches for lunch which were very nice.

Furthermore I got some sweets from the guest, and a cake from my colleague.

At night I had an appointnent at 19:00 but the person got involved a trouble and appeared nearly two hours late.

So I could listen to the Webinar.

What looks bad is not bad so much, isn't it?

It was a rainy day.

Today is the Supermoon, but we could not see the Moon unfortunately.

I ordered sandwiches for tomorrow by internet. You can choose the kind of bread, toast or not, side dishes, and topping. 

I did not notice about this variation when I ordered before more than two years ago, or maybe I just forgot.

Are you happy when there are choices or not?

It was a rainy day.

There was a guest to check our facility to decide which place to use for recording of the event later this week. 

He brought the sweets called taiyaki (たい焼き), the sea bream shaped pan cake filled with sweet red bean paste for the souvenir. It was still warm. 

We could not eat them all, so we decided to keep the rest at the refrigerator. 

I thought it is better to keep them after taking the rough heat at the refrigerator. But my colleague suggested to keep them at the freezer while it is still warm.

She said when you freeze rice, it is more delicious when you freeze them while it is still hot rather than when it became the normal temperature because the moisture is important.

After work I dropped at Yokosukachuo to do something.

This morning I booked a restaurant for dinner next month where I could not go twice. I hope it will be "The third is the charm."
