2026.5.19

It wasm fine.

On my way to and from the office there were something and trains delayed.

Since I had coupons my lunch cost was very small.

There were many things to do and I overworked and I was the last person to leave the office.

I happened to see a beef bowl restaurant of which I have stock owner's coupon, so, I decided to eat dinner for nothing.

I have a sore throat and feel dull. I may have a cold.

2022.7.19

It was cloudy.

I missed my station in the morning but was glad to be in time by taking the different route.

I gave a souvenir from Kyoto. It was a special version of Otabe for Gion festival. It was tasty.

I ate konnyaku which was made by the owner of the Inn I stayed on Sunday. I have never thought of making those ingredient at home, and I was very surprised abd impressed.

I felt tired and fell asleep at sofa st night.

2021.7.28

It was fine.

Listening to the meditation program, I missed the station and could not buy lunch on my way to the office.
So at lunch time I went out. Once in a month there is a market of Iwate products at the Takebashi station building. About three or four months ago I bought reimen (冷麺), cold noodle there and it was very delicious. Last month they did not have them, and I bought two kinds of seafood instant soup.  Today they had reimen for half price. I felt lucky.

Today is the day of the ox during doyo (土用の丑の日: doyo no ushi no hi), which is about 18 days before the first day of fall. On this day we eat grilled eel as a lucky food.

2013.11.6

It's been getting cooler and cooler.

Today another new lesson started and we made self-introduction again.

At lunch time I had an appointment with my friend and ate lunch at an Italian restaurant where we can have appetizer by self service.  She knows many good restaurants around my school area, so we promised to have lunch as often as possible while I go training and talk about our future plans.

After school, I went to Kawasaki to have dinner at a French restaurant.  I have been interested in Galette since last year but never had a chance to try.  Finally tonight I could eat it.

Today I saw the news saying Zuwaigani (Snow crab) season has opened.  Female crabs will be caught by January and males by March.  I love crabs.  Izumo is one of the places where crabs are famous.  I wish I knew about the date before going.  How I wish could go there during the season!

2012.11.17

It was cloudy in the morning but started raining around noon.
I had breakfast at the restaurant of the hotel on the 16th floor.  The mountains were very beautiful with red and yellow leaves from there.  There are some local specialities such as nozawana (野沢菜: Japanese leaf vegetable) and himeringo (姫リンゴ: small apple).
After two meetings I have walked around the city.
Nagano is very famous for soba (そば:buckwheat) noodle and I visited the restaurant recommended by someone but unfortunately it was closed when I visited there.  Instead I bought oyaki (おやき: Japanese dumpling) which is also local food there and ate it on the Shinkansen (新幹線) back to Tokyo.
I like to eat special products whenever I travel somewhere.
How about you?

2012.10.10

It used be a national holiday called "taiiku no hi(体育の日)" Health and Sports Day, and it is supposed to be fine always. Therefore many schools or cities have athletic meeting called "undokai (運動会)" around this time.  And many couples tend to get married on this day too.  One of my best friends from high school also got married on this day many years ago.
Today I went to my friend's Japanese-style restaurant in Miami where I have wanted to go for 4 years.  Foods were all delicious.  I enjoyed everything.
Have you ever hard "san dai chinmi (三大珍味)" the three biggest rare tastes?   Japanese peole like to think of best 3 in many things.  San dai chinmi are uni (ウニ): salt-pickled sea urchin roe, karasumi (カラスミ): salt-pickled mullet roe, and konowata (このわた): pickled sea cucumber innards.  I could eat all of them tonight.
