I have suffered from backache since yesterday. So I am glad to have taken another day off beforehand. I wanted to go out but gave up and stayed home all day long.
These days I have not written letters, but finally I found time to do so, and wrote some letters and cards.
Letter in Japanese is tegami (手紙), literally hand paper. Postcard in Japanese is hagaki (葉書), literally leaf writing. Stamp in Japanese is kitte (切手), literally cut hand. It costs yen 80 for envelope, and yen 50 for postcard to send in Japan.
