2019.7.31

The last day of July.

I started the day early to attend one day bus tour to Gunma.

Meeting time was 6:50 am at Yokosukachuo.
To my lucky I was seated in the front seat.

First destination was Gyoda city to see the ancient lotus flowers and tambo art (田んぼアート), rice field art. This was the first time for me to see the tambo art directly. There were two pictures, one is the calligraphy of new name of the era, Reiwa (令和). The other was three representatives of Japan team for the Rugby World Cup.

Second destination was lunch and peach picking at Harada Farm in Numata City.

Third destination was Fukiwari no taki (吹割の滝), Fukiwari Waterfalls where I have been looking forward to visiting since I saw the brouchure. It is called Niagara of the Orient. It was so nice to walk along the river which has waterfalls, and across the bridge where we can look down the river.

We were very lucky because after all sight seeing it started raining a little bit.

This tour cost about yen 6,000 including lunch. Peach picking cost yen 750 with three peaches, and to climb up the tower is yen 400  per person or yen 320 for the group.

We came back to Yokosukachuo after 12 hours.

It was a nice tour.

2019.7.30

It was fine.

They say the rainy season was over yesterday in Kanto area which is about 8 days later than average year and 30 days later than last year.
It was expected to be over 30 degrees centigrade today.

I went to Shinagawa to attend Reiki 4.  It started at 10 am and ended around 7 pm. I took 8:23 train which was supposed to arrive at 9:36 but arrived later because of the accident and had to run again.

It was another nice day.

2019.7.29

It was fine.

I took 6:46 train to go to Shinagawa, which arrived at Shinagawa at 8:16. Meeting started at 8:30 so that I had to run.

There was Reiki 3 seminar under the new teacher and system. I attended as a sub teacher. There were some new contents and it finished 8:30 pm including a staff meeting.

It was a nice experience.

I came home around 10:30 pm.

It was another long day.

2019.7.28

It slightly rained in the morning.

I went to Shinagawa to attend Reiki 2 as a sub-teacher. I took 6:43 train and the morning meeting started at 8:30 am. The seminar started  at 10 am and finished around 7 pm. There were the after meeting and teachers meeting with dinner after that, and it finished around 10 pm.
There were some new programs. I talked my Reiki experience from the stage. I did atunement too.

I met Reiki teachers and enjoyed talking and eating at dinner time.

It was a long day.

2019.7.27

It was cloudy and slightly raining when I left home. I saw a part of rainbow and felt happy.

After getting on the train, it started raining, and I felt lucky not to get caught in a shower.

I went to Shinagawa to attend the Reiki 1 as a sub teacher.
The meeting time was 8:30 am and finished at 8 pm including the before and after meetings. There were about 30 new students and 20 repeaters. There were many programs in it. Some were new and interesting.
It was a nice session.

Today is doyo no ushi no hi (土用の丑の日), literally day of the ox in midsumner. On this day we usually eat unagi no kabayaki (鰻の蒲焼き), grilled eel.

2019.7.26

It was fine but slightly rained at night.

I saw Mt. Fuji and beautiful blue sky after a long time.

I went to Shinagawa to attend two seminars with my old friends.

It's been years since I saw one of them last but we could recognize each other soon.

After the seminars I went out for dinnet with one of them and enjoyed eating and talking.

2019.7.25

It was fine and very hot and humid. In western part of Japan the rainy season was over.

I stayed at home all day long.

In the afternoon I tried to make a transcription by watching the lecture video which I attended last Sunday. My part is only 8 miutes but it took a half day.

It seems there was a fireworks festival but I only heard the sound and did not see fireworks themselves. I wish I could watch them!

2019.7.24

It was fine and hot.

There were good things and bad things.

They say there is only one year left before the Tokyo Olympic Games 2020 and there are memorial events in Tokyo. 2000 Gold, Silver and Bronz medals are ready. The tours of watching Olympic games are started to sell.

Thanks to my friend's Facebook post, I could get the Olympic Memorial Coins. There are 6 different designs of 100 yen coins: karate, sport climbing, surfing, skate board, weight lifting and goal ball. You can change two sets at most at post offices and banks from today.

I went to once a week Yoga lesson in the morning.

There was a surprise when I got home. Somebody cleaned my road. How kind!

I talked with many people today.

2019.7.23

It was cloudy and fine in the day time but became rain at night.

Today is Fumi no hi (ふみの日), Letter writing day.

I stayed at home in the morning but went to Shinagawa to attend a meeting which I was not going today. It was a result of miscommunication. Even if it is Japanese and between Japanese, we misunderstand written messages. We should have talked to confirm.

After consulting I went to see my friend at the hospital to do REIKI. She was in the hospital by the end of May and came back suddenly last Friday. So I was surprised and decided to visit. She was in the wheel chair this time. I thought her supper time was from 5 pm but it started at 6 pm and I stayed there by 8 pm by doing REIKI..

Today is the last day for my free promotion of the third book. I hope many people take this opportunity and learn something about Japan.

2019.7.22

It was cloudy.

I went to Tokyo to have lunch with my friend. It was a nice restaurant from where we could see the Tokyo station.

After that we went to see my ex-boss who introduced me the restaurant at the Tokyo City i. I was surprised to see the brouchures of vegetarian foods and Halal foods. I think this is very important to welcome foreigners at rugby world cup this year and Olympics and Paralympics next year.

In the afternoon I attended a reporting session. There were about 200 people. There were some exciting news.

After that seven of us went to have dinner. We were very lucky to get 10% off because of the time offer.

2019.7.21

It was cloudy and sunny.

In the early morning I went to vote for the election of the House of Councillors.

After that I went to Enoshima via Kurihama and Kamakura after a long time. At Kurihama I saw big flowers.

To my lucky I got the best seat for the lectures at Enoshima.
After lunch and lecture we visited many places in Enoshima Island with a special guide. We learned a lot. It was fun.

After all the tour we had dinner party at a Hawaiian cafe. We enjoyed listening to many interesting stories.

There was a delay of trains but I could come home without having to wait for a long time.

It was a nice day.

2019.7.20

It was cloudy and slightly rained too.

I went to Kawasaki to attend a seminar of volunteer tour guide for foreign tourists.
This year we have the rugby world cup and next year we have Olympics and Paralympics. Therefore we expect to have a great many foreign visitors.
There were about 50 participants who are willing to be a goodwill ambassador.
I enjoyed the two hours seminar very much.

After having a light lunch I went to the Kimono-style Miya to have my hair set, makeup, dressed up and my pictures taken. I got many presents.

After that I went to see my friend.

It was a nice day.

2019.7.19

It was fine after long rainy days.

I went to Shinagawa to attend "Dream Rush" experience.  It is a new program of Vortex. It is a game but a miniature of one's life from 20's to 60's.

Yesterday I bought a carry case through Internet.It was delivered around noon but I was out and when I came home I called to ask redelivery. To my surprise I could receive it within 10 minutes. How lucky I am! I am very glad to be able to use it tomorrow.

From today the free promotion of my third ebook has started.This is only five days event. I hope many people will download my book and enjoy reading about Japan.

2019.7.18

It was cloudy.

I stayed at home all day long.

There is something wrong with my printer. I can print pictures and make copies but can't print out the documents. I do not know why.

I watched a recorded movie "Don't let me go" which I saw the drama version a few years ago.
I think literature is great by dealing with universal feeling.

2019.7.17

It was cloudy.

Today is the full moon.

I went to once a week Yoga lesson in the morning.

After having lunch I went toYokohama to attend a trial lesson of making soap flowers in the afternoon. This is one of the gifts for stockholders of the flour company. I have wanted to attend the lesson for a long time but I did not have a chance until now. There are four different courses of making flowers. Every half year they offer the free tral lessons. So I would like to make a brooch by the see-through clay flowers next time.

On my way there I got a cosmetic trial coupon. Therefore I visited there after the lesson.

Today there was an announcement of the first Reiwa Akutagawa Award and Naoki Award. Both winners were women. This was the first thing in history. Congratulations!!

2019.7.16

It was a rainy day.

They say it has been rainy for 20 days and cooler compared to last summer when it had been very hot.

I watched the recorded movie "Original Sin" and a drama on TV.
Movie's Japanese title was "Poison" and quite different from the original title.

2019.7.15

It was cloudy and rainy. To my lucky I did not have to use an umbrella.

Today is a national holiday called umi no hi (海の日), Marine Day.
It is the last day of three day weekend for most people.

I went to the nearby shrine first and went to Ningyou cho.
First I visited the Koamijinja shrine which my friend posted at Facebook yesterday. In spite of the location there were some visitors.
Second I went to have lunch with a friend. The Japanese restaurant we were going to was closed and we had buffet lunch at an Italian restaurant.
Third we went to attend an event "The First Yotsuba Meeting" (Four-leaf Clover Meeting) from 2 pm to 4 pm.  It was so interesting. I met some REIKI teachers and friends.
Fourth we had after the event tea party at the same building. We had stayed there until 8 pm and enjoyed talking about "the talk with a higher self." Since there was a drink bar, we enjoyed many kinds of drinks.

It was a nice day.

It was cloudy and rainy.

I stayed at home all day long.

I published my third ebook today.

2019.7.13

It was cloudy at first but became rain in the afternoon and stopped raining at night.

I went to the World Porters to attend Morinda's  monthly meeting in the morning and in the afternoon. I had lunch with my friend.

After the meeting I went to see another friend at Sakuragicho.  We enjoyed talking, but especially I was listening to the interesting life story. After two hours another friend joined and we enjoyed talking.
Around 7:30 pm to 8:00 pm we could see some parts of the fireworks festival from the table. I felt lucky because I was told that from that restaurant we could not expect to see the fireworks last night.

I went to Yokohama after that.

I am glad to have bought Yokohama one day ticket this morning.

2019.7.12

It was a rainy day.

I went to Yokohama to see a friend.
Before that I went to banks to withdraw and deposit money and a post office to send the application and transfer annual fees for Academic Societies.

My friend and I met at Kiyoken and ordered the Premium Afternoon Tea which I booked the other day. It was delicious and we stayed there for two hours and a half or so. We enjoyed eating and talking.

After saying good-bye, I headed for Minato Mirai to see another friend to teach something. Internet environment was not so good that I could not teach her as much as I hoped.

Then I walked around Sakuragicho to find a place to see friends tomorrow.

2019.7.11

It was cloudy in the morning, but rained in the afternoon.

I went to city office branch to submit the document about the change of pension related status.

After that I went to Yokosuka to submit another document.

I decided to cancel an account of a bank which opened in 2005 to receive salary but have not used for a long time. Usually we cannot withdraw coins from the regular ATM but today I received all the money invluding coins I had in the account by ATM.

Then I visited my teacher of the first grade of a primary school after a long time. Since I moved to another city in December when I was a furst grader, she had been my teacher for only 8 months or so but we still have connections. Isn't it amazing?
Last time when I went to Yokosuka I called her but she was busy and could not see each other. At that time I heard that she had been in a hospital for 70 days and I felt I should do REIKI for her and decided to visit her today. We had lunch and enjoyed talking and talking. I did REIKI to her and her left leg pain was gone and she became to walk without pain. I am glad to do so.

We are looking forward to meeting each other again next month.

2019.7.10

It was fine.

In spite of going to bed late last night I could get up early this morning and practiced TV gymnastics from 6:25 to 6:35 am.

I did some paperwork and went to practice Yoga in the morning.
After changing clothing I headed for Shinagawa to attend a meeting. It was great and I learned many things.

After that I went to Hibiya to have interviews for both English and Japanese. There was more than one hour inbetween and I decided to go out and walked around Hibiya park where roses were blooming.

After the interview I went to Asakusa to visit hozukiichi (ほおずき市), Chinese Lantern Plant Market. It is said if you visit there on this occasion, it is equivalent to visit shiman rokusen nichi (四万六千日: 46000 days) . How nice it is!

It was a very fruitful day.

2019.7.9

It was cloudy.

I stayed at home all day long.

In the morning I baked a cake after a long time. It was so easy just mixed an egg, oil, water and flour in a paper box and baked 40 minutes at 160 degrees centigrade.

In the afternoon I cleared kimono and closet, and washed three times.

2019.7.8

It was cloudy in the morning but became fine in the afternoon.

I went to Tokyo to see someone and had lunch at a vegetarian restaurant. The third person came and we decided to change the place. When we got out of there, there was a long waiting line.
We went to the Toraya cafe after that and enjoyed talking.

Then I went to Kimono-Style Miya to pick up my carry bag I left yesterday.
To my shock one of the four casters was missing when I got to the station.

There was another earthquake tonight.
These days we have many earthquakes.
I am worried about earthquakes.

2019.7.6

It was a rainy day.

I stayed at home to receive two deliveries.

After that I went to Shinagawa to have a meeting.
I met some friends but there were some miscommunications. Even between Japanese, words are sometimes difficult, especially written words.
Email, messenger, Line, What's APP I often use these applications but maybe there is a possibility of not to be understood each other.

Today I learned a lot.

2019.7.5

It was fine in the morning, but became rain in the evening.

I had another busy day.

First I went to Shinjuku to attend Morinda's monthly meeting. Now Morinda building is under renovation, so we had a meeting at an event hall nearby.
After the meeting I measured hearing ability and AGE.
Then I went to the Morinda shop to order this month's products. I am glad I chose the arrange course so that I can choose whatever I need in the month.

After that I went to Yoyogi Uehara to meet an Indonesian friend and an ex-colleague at the Tokyo camii where is said to be the biggest mosque in Japan. It is Turkish Style. There is a Halal market at the first floor too. It is very beautiful. I observe the prayer too.

It was as if I am abroad.

After that I went to Shinagawa and bought some train tickets. 

Then I had dinner at a Chinese restaurant where I have been interested in for a long time because it is very close to the seminar room.

From 18:50 I attended a seminar about the secret of how to make use of power spots. It was very interesting and lasted over 22:00. Therefore I took the last train.

It was another eventful day.

2019.7.4

Happy Birthday to the USA!!

It was rainy at daytime but became fine in the night.

I attended Yamato tour from 10 am to 4:30 pm.
First I went to Higashi Ikebukuro and we watched a movie "Mitama wo tsugumono."
Second we had a boxed lunch.
Third we had a lecture about the Great East Asia War by watching some video clips.
Fourth we went to the Yasukuni shrine and asked the official worship at the main building, and visited the Yushukan Museum.
Fifth we shared our impressions.
This is the first time for me to attend this tour. It is the one to learn about the war-related history.
The Yasukuni shrine was founded by the Emperor Meiji in June 1869 to commemorate those who died in service of Japan from Boshin War of 1868-1869 to the First Indochina War of 1946-1954. So it has 150 years of history.
It is very famous for cherry blossom season.

After the tour I went to Omote sando to visit the exhibition of my high school friend.

Then I went to Shinagawa to attend a seminar.

It was an eventful day.

2019.7.3

It was cloudy in the day time but became rain in the evening.

I went to Yoga lesson in the morning after a long interval. The instructor welcomed me despite the long absence.

After having a quick lunch I went to Kanda to attend a seminar.
Then seven of us had an early dinner and tea.

At night I attended a monthly meeting. There I was appointed to make a speech. It happened all of sudden and I felt I was not qualified. However I was told that I was expected and chosen one of the four speakers so I accepted. There were many things talk about.
By taking this opportunity I was able to talk with certified instructors and got valuable advice.

Today is a new moon. It is a good time to start something new.  I think I could have a good start.

2019.7.2

It was another rainy day.

In Kyushu and Shikoku it is raining heavily. And there is a possibility of having about the amount of one month precipitation within 24 hours.

I stayed at home and wrote some more ebooks.

I called some places to confirn the payment. I didn't recognize having been a member of
Amazon Prime therefore I called a credit card company first  and Amazon next. I had two accounts and it seemed I became a member for one of them  by chance as a free member and did not change the status after a certain period. I have never used the previlege of the prime member and paid the membership fee for more than one year. Therefore they offered the reimbursement. I am very glad I did.

2019.5.10

It was fine and very warm. I wore half sleeves.

Today is my mother's 17th death anniversary.  So I went to the graveyard in the morning.

After that I went to Yokosuka to attend an explaining meeting which was supposed to last for an hour but it finished within half an hour.

Then I went to Meguro to visit the Tokyo Metropolitan Teien Art Museum and Institute for Nature Study and I walked a lot.

After that we went to Happoen to have cake set and enjoyed walking around the garden and go back to Shinagawa by shuttle bus.

After coming back to Shinagawa, we went to a coffee shop.

Finally I met some friends at another coffee shop.

It was a long day.

2019.7.1

A new month has started.
July is shichigatsu (七月) or fumizuki (文月).

It was a rainy day, but stopped in the evening.

As the first day ritual I went to the nearby shrine for otsuitachi mairi (お朔日参り) in the morning.

Then I went to Sugita to have my hair cut and permed.
And I visited the smart phone shop to ask something and the kimono shop.

After that I went to Yokohama to do bank things and paid municipal tax and prefectural tax and National Health Insurance.

Then I watched a Disney movie "Aladdin." To my surprise the movie fee was raised to Yen1900 from this month. Usually the first day was yen 1000, but from today it is yen1200. I am glad to have stockholder's invitation tickets.
