It was fine.

I went to massage in the morning after a month or so. Since I do not exercise daily, my body was so stiff that the massager recommended me to do some exercise at least to move shoulder and arms.

Then I went to Kimono-Style Miya to be a kimono model. I wore two kimonos today. Both were Oshima tsumugi (大島紬). One is casual, the other is formal with beautiful embroidery called Swatow.
Hair styles were also changed to match each kimono respectively.

After the second session, I was invited to tea.

It was a nice day.

2015.6.7

It was fine and hot.

I went to Kimono Style Miya to be a kimono model.  Today I wore two kimonos.  One is a summer kimono called  Sha (紗).
It is very light and transperant.
The other is komon (小紋), small patterns.

I think the beautician and makeup artists are artists and magician who make women feel happy.

I came back wearing kimono and attended the local representative meeting at night.

2015.4.19

It was fine but became cloudy.

I went to the Kimono-Style Miya to be a kimono model in the morning.
I wore two kimonos.

One is a formal wear called homongi (訪問着) which I got as a present of the last lucky three digit of the new year's card to commemorate the third year anniversary of Miya's opening  in Yokohama.  I used my own sash called fukuro  obi (袋帯) which I bought about a quarter century ago.

The other is a casual wear called tsumugi (紬) which I got as a present of the fortune drawing called fukubiki (福引き) on the new year's day event at Miya this year on January 1. I used my dead mother's sash which must be bought more than 30 years ago.
When I saw the design of the roll called tanmono (反物), I remembered this sash and decided to make it as a kimono.

I feel very lucky to have got these two kimono this January by chance.

Kimono is a wonderful Japanese national costume I proud of and I want to introduce this beautiful Japanese culture to the people around the world.

I was asked to be a model twice at the Kimono fashon show at the Toji (東寺) temple in Kyoto in this fall. Toji is one of the UNESCO's World Heritages. So it is a great honor to be a part of the big event.

Since walking in Kyoto with wearing kimono has been one of my dreams, I am very looking forward to joining that event.

2014.8.23

It was cloudy in the morning, but started raining with thunder and lightening before noon, and it stopped in the afternoon.

 

I went to Yokohama to attend a seminar with my friend from 13:30.  I thought it would be over within two hours, but it ended around 16:30.  The lecturer was very interesting and we learned a lot.

 

I went to Kimono-Style Miya to be a Kimono model.  Since my appointed time was from 16:30, I did not have time to be taken pictures at the studio.  We moved to the Osanbashi pier and boarded to the big ship for dinner cruise at 19:30.  We were a group of about 20 ladies wearing Kimono and there was a photographer attending, therefore we were very outstanding and attracted people's eyes.

To our very lucky, there was a fireworks festival nearby, we could enjoy viewing them from the boat.

Dinner was a Chinese course and so delicious.

This was the invitation from Miya.  I met a friend from the trip last year and got to know some people today.  We enjoyed chatting and eating for 2 hours.

I feel very fortunate to have a relation with this Kimono company.

 

After the cruise I went back to Miya and changed the clothes so that I could leave Kimono for cleaning which is also done by service.

 

It was a nice day.

 

 

2013.6.15

It was cloudy and very hot today.
I went to Yokohama to be a kimono model again in the afternoon.  I went there with my friends.  For them this was the first time, and they chose the kimono they liked.  For me it was the second time and I wore my own kimono which I made.  I wore two different kimono.  One is awase  (袷 ) which can be worn for three seasons, the other is ro (絽) which can be worn during the summer time.
After that we went out for dinner at a Chinese restaurant where is cheap and delicious.

 

2013.3.30

It was rather cold again.

I went to Yokohama (横浜) to be a kimono model. First make up, second hair set, third dressing kimono, then photo shooting. I chose the light blue colored kimono with beautiful roses design at the first sight. Other accessories such as collar and belts were selected by the specialist.

I like wearing kimono, but they are usually very expensive, therefore I have not bought them for a long time.

I was not going to buy anything, but I just wanted to try on and applied for being a kimono model by the recommendation of my friend.  Then today was the photo taking day.  I felt good to have dressed the beautiful kimono.  After the photo session I had a chance to see the company president and he offered the special service and I decided to buy the one he recommended me.  He has a big vision to let kimono culture known to the world and will have a kimono fashion show at the Grand Central Station in New York at noon, Friday, April 19, 2013.  I wished to be a part of that fashion show but it was too late when I got to know about the company.  In every 4 years like Olympic games they will have international kimono fashion show.  And the next one will be in France.  I hope to join.

In the evening I went to Shinjuku (新宿) to see tennis friends.  Six of us got together at the Italian restaurant.
