2020.10.1

It was rainy in the morning, but became fine in the afternoon.

A new month started. October is jugatsu (10月、十月), the 10th month or kannaduki (神無月), the month without gods.

Today is known as koromogae (衣替え), changing clothings. Students change their uniforms to winter version.

I went to the nearby shrine as a ritual of the first day of the month before going to work.

Tonight is jugoya (十五夜) the 15th night in luner calendar. It is a time when we enjoy viewing the harvest moon which is called chushu no meigetsu (中秋の名月).  Viewing the moon is called otsukimi (お月見) in Japanese. We really like the natural beauty. On this day we decorate dumpling and silver grass.

I am glad to see the beautiful moon tonight.
