It was fine.

I was rather busy at office.

During lunch time I went shopping.

After coming home I attended one on one zoom session which was nice to know each other.

There was an election in Liberal Democratic Party, and the new 27th governor became Mr.Fumio Kishida who will be the new 100th  Prime Minister.

It was fine but cold. Mt. Fuji looked very beautiful with the moon.

They said the kogarashi No. 1 blew today.

In the USA it is a big day.  I can't believe it has been already passed four years!

When I was in the USA in 1996, the voting paper is one of the most surprising one. In Japan election is always held on Sunday, but in the USA it is held on Tuesday. That was also a surprise.

When I was in the USA from 2006 to 2008, I noticed about the seal "I voted."

We will see who will be soon.

It was a rainy day.

I went to vote for the general election in the morning.

Then I headed for Roppongi to visit the National Art Center, Tokyo to see the exhibition of Sunshower.
This is the Exhibition of Contemporary Art from Southeast Asia 1980s to Now Commemorating the 50th Anniversary of ASEAN.
There are two venues: The National Art Center, Tokyo and Mori Art Museum.
I went to the latter the other day. The former is located very close to my office but I could not find the time to visit for the past three months. Tomorrow is the last day of exhibition so I decided to visit.
There were two works I liked very much.

After that I went to Ueno okachi machi to see somebody to ask questions.

Then I went to Kanda to attend a seminar where I met some travel friends.

It was a busy day.

2016.7.10

It was fine.

It was a House of Councilors election day. Their term is 6 years and a half of them were  elected.
The voting time is from 7 am to 8 pm. Those who cannot vote today were able to vote by last night.
The voting age became from 18 years old from this voting.

I went to vote first and to Yokohama later to attend seminars with a friend. We went out for lunch where has a good view of Yokohama Minato Mirai Area.

It was fine, but very cold. Maybe the coldest morning because frost fell and the windshield was white and it was hard to get rid of it.

Did you see the shooting stars last night?
Luckily I saw some in a short time.

This morning when I went to a convenience store at the station to buy something, I happened to find novelty candy of Keihin kyuko line which is only sold at the store in Miura. It was somehow attractive, and I bought it though I am not interested in eating. I think it would be a good souvenir for those who live outside Kanagawa, so I hope to share tomorrow at the farewell & year end party for ex-colleagues.

The news of today was almost about the result of general election yesterday.
To my surprise, Mr. Shinjiro Koizumi from my constituency gained 168,953 votes which was  the most throughout Japan. I think someday he will be a prime minister like his father.

The result of the election was published.  Mr. Taro Kono (河野太郎) from the 15th district of Kanagawa Prefecture got the most votes of 192,604 in the nation.  The number of eligible voters in that area is 456,520 which is the third in Kanagawa. This was the 6th victory straight for him.  The second was Mr. Shinjiro Koizumi (小泉進次郎) from the 11th district of Kanagawa Prefecture which is my district.  He got 184,360 votes.  Both of their fathers were also famous politicians.
Depends on the district the disparity in the number of voters per representation is quite big and some were elected by the small votes.  And it is the big issue in Japanese election system now.

It was rather warm today.
In the morning I went to the community building to clean as a community service.
After coming home, Father and I went to vote for the general election at the primary school.  The voting time was from 7 AM to 8 PM, and they started to open the result.  It seems the change of government will occur for sure.   In our constituency, the 11th district of Kanagawa, Mr. Shinjiro Koizumi (小泉進次郎) is sure to be elected again.  He is the second son of former Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi (小泉純一郎).

This year is an election year here and there in the world.  In the first half there were elections in Taiwan, Finland, Croatia, Yemen, Iran, Russia, Slovakia, Myanmar, France, Greece and Egypt.  In the latter half there were elections in Mexico, India, and China.  In November there was the presidential election in the USA. In December there will be the big ones in Korea and Japan. 
In Japan there will be the 46th general election of the members of the House of the Representatives and the 22nd national judgement for the judges of the Supreme Court on December 16.   The voting time is between 7 am and 8 pm.  Today I got the numbered ticket for the entering of the voting station.
Near my office I was surprised to see the poster of election campaign office for the Tokyo Metropolitan Governor.  Because it was so big compared to the regular poster and I was wondering what it was.

It is an off-year election day in the USA. I have been wondering why they have an election on Tuesday for a long time because in Japan it is held on Sunday for sure. The other day TV caster was explaining about it. Sunday is the day for church, Monday is the moving day to the election place by carriage, therefore Tuesday became an election day.
Another difference is after voting they give you a sticker written "I voted" in the USA. (I am not sure if it happens in all 50 states or not though.) We do not have such custom here.
In the USA you vote by PC, but here we still write the candidate's name on the paper.
