It was a rainy day.

There was an event I was going to attend but I decided to stay at home and attended  the event by zoom.

Besides that I prepared the presentation for tomorrow night.

I started making the 165th ebook.

Present campaign of the 163rd ebook was over and to my glad it became No.1 in the USA and Japan.

From today the 164th ebook campaign started.

It was cloudy.

I took two hours off to go to Tokyo to attend the monthly meeting after a long time.

There was something wrong with the Map application, and I could not find the venue and was late for 20 minutes.

Since it was the day of Tiger which is a good day to deal with money I paid and sold sold some stocks.

After the meeting it started raining.I had dinner and came home late.

It was cloudy durng daytime and rained at night.

I took two hours off to go to Tokyo to attend a monthly meeting.

Since map application didn't work I walked around and arrived 20 minutes later.

After that I had dinner and came home late.

Today is the day of Tiger when is a good time to deal with money. So I paid and sold some stocks.

Happy Birthday to Me!

Another year has passed. How fast time flies!

It was fne today.

I stayed and worked at home today.

During lunch time I went to the nearby shrine to thank for the past year and ask for the next year.

To commemorate my birthday I published my 164th ebook about sunlight pictures of April today.

To my glad my 163rd ebook became No.1 in Japan.

At night I attended a live event to anounce my presentation next Sunday night.

It was a nice birthday.

It was fine but cool at office.

After the Golden Week I got some sweets for souvenirs.

To my glad I got a birthday present from my friend from U.K. It's been more than 25 years since we met in the Ground Circle tour in the USA before attending wedding ceremony of my American friend's from Expo 92.

After COVID−19 it became difficult to send something by airmail. So I did not send her birthday present.

Today is a transferred holiday and the last day of the Golden Week.

I stayed at home all day long.

To my glad my 163rd ebook has been No.1 in Japan.

I started to prepare for the next ebook which I will publish on my birthday this year.

It was fine.

Today is a national holiday called Kodomo no hi (こどもの日), Children's Day.

Today is rikka (立夏), one of nijushisekki (二十四節気), 24 solar terms. Last one was kokuu (穀雨) on April 20 and the next one is shoman (小満) om May 21.

I walled to the station and got on 9:50 train to Sakura. There was a special exhibition about Nishikie (錦絵), color print at the National Museum of Japanese History. This is the second time for me to go there. Last time I could not see everything.

Today my friend and I ate lunch, saw the Nishikie exhibition and regular exhibition and walked around the garden.

After that we went to have dinner.

On my way home on the train I attended a zoom session.

I came home around 11PM.

It was fine.

Today is a national holiday called Midori no hi, Green Day.

I got up early to take the first train. I went to Shinjuku to attend a bus tour to Yamanashi to see Fuji Shibazakura Festival.  We were supposed to visit three places but it was so crowded that it took long to go, therefore we had to skip one place.

Weather was so nice and Mt.Fuji looked so beautiful with Moss phloxes.

The second place was Arakurayama sengen park where I have been once. Last time I could not see Mt. Fuji but I saw the beautiful Mt.Fuji.

I could not have lunch but I enjoyed the beautifuk sceneries.

It was fine.

It is the first day of the second half of the Golden Week.

Today is a national holiday called Kenpo kinen bi (憲法記念日), Constitution Day.

I stayed at home all day long.

I washed winter clothings and cleared kimono I wore last week.

I prepared the documents for pension receiving and made a reservation to visit the office. I wrote some emails to ask something.

I attended a zoom seminar at night.

I made the 163rd ebook.

It was a rainy day.

I am glad to have completed the pending issues at work.

At night I attended two zoom webinars.I was surprised to hear the success stories.

From tomorrow there will be the latter half of the Golden Week. Most people have four days off.

There will be festivals here and there which I am interested in. But I may not be able to visit thIs year.

A new month has started.

May is gogatsu (5月、五月) or Satsuki (皐月) in Japanese.

As the first day of the month I changed plants, rice, salt, water of the in−house shrine.

I stayed and worked at home.

Today is hachiju hachiya (八十八夜), 88th night from the first day of spring. It is the new season of picking tea leaves. 

I attended two zoom seminars.

There were good things and bad things.

It was fine. I saw the beautiful sunset.

Today was last day of 162nd ebook promotion. It's been No.1 in the USA and Japan.

On my way home I went grocery shopping. I should have used the points but did not notice that it would expire today and I lost some.

At night I had the 44th Bilingual Fortume Sharing Tea Party. We had two sessions.

I ordered the Nohana album.

It was fine.

 Today is a national holiday called Showa no hi (昭和の日), which was used to be Emperor Showa's Birthday.

I walked to the Miurakaigan station and headed for Shibuya to attend the movie viewing party which I participated as extra for the first time.

After that my friends and I went to have Afternoon Tea. To our surprise four of us were all Blood type O which reminded me of my high school tennis club members.

I came home by taxi.

It was cloudy and became rain.

On my way home I went grocery shopping. I feel many things have been getting expensive. 

Today is the new moon. It is a good time to think of dreams. My dreams are related to  traveling. There are still many places I want to visit.

It is the Golden Week in Japan. Usually it starts from April 29 which is Showa no hi (昭和の日), Day of Showa, when is used to be Emperor Showa's Birthday to May 5 which is Kodomo no hi (こどもの日), Children's Day.

If you take 4 days off, you can get 11 days vacation.

I work as the calendar day.

I do not travel far away but go here and there.

I got a call from a friend whom I met in Florhda when I worked at the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens. 

I finished reading a book I bought in March.

In the evening I attended a zoom meeting of IWPG. It's been just a year since I knew about IWPG. It is a big global organization seeking world peace.

It was fine, but became rain in the afternoon for a while and became fine again.

I got up early and wore kimono.

I went to the station and headed for Shinjuku to have luncheon with friends and watching Projection mapping.

I was interviewed for the Taiwanese program.

I came home at midnight.

At lunch time I harvested butterburs for the first time this year.

There was something wrong with our server at office. Therefore a new PC has been introduced.

There was a welcome luncheon for 5 newcomers. We ordered boxed lunch because there is no restaurant within the walking distance. I chose daily fish for main dish.

It was fine but windy.

I still have a running nose and cough.

Though I prepared green tea, I forgot bringing the water bottle.

When I can't decide the menu for lunch, I ask the recommendation.Today's recommendation was either Yellowtail or bamboo. I chose the latter, and it was delicious.Seasonal food is very good.

There were three zoom sessions at night. Two were lecture style business webinar. The last one was interactive meeting with those who have the same interest and hobby.

I saw Mt.Fuji after a while

There was a server trouble therefore we could not work. We were allowed to leave earlier.

On my way home I went to Nojima to buy a mouse but decided not to do so after the second thought.

Today is kokuu (穀雨), one of nijushisekki (二十四節気), 24 solar terms.

Last one was seimei (清明) on April 3 and the next one is rikka (立夏) on May 5.

Kokuu literally means grain rain. It is the time of rain which helps to grow grains.

Today is the 33rd anniversary of opening Expo 92.

I stayed at home most of time today beside visiting the neighborhood.

I set up the PC finally.

I made a reservation for this Saturday.

It was fine.

I walked to the station and headed for the party venue in Yokohama.

On my way, I did not know there is a Korean Town in Yokohama.

We got together at 11:30 and prepared. It started at noon and lasted for three hours. There were more than 30 people. We enjoyed talking and talking.

The second party was karaoke which I have not been for a long time. There were 12 people. I sang two songs. We enjoyed singing and talking, 

The third party was Chinese Dinner at a Chinese restaurant, There were 9 people.

We enjoyed eating and talking.

It was a nice day.

It is the day of snake which is a messenger of Benzaiten and related with money and talents. 

It is Taian, which is a good day for everything.

I was going to buy PC for my birthday present next month but my PC was suddenly broken down last week.

So I decided to buy it today.

Yesterday I changed the connecting device, and there is something wrong with telephone parts.

I hope everything works well.

I stayed and worked at home.

I have a fever and running nose because of the cold weather for the past few days.

I finally changed the new BB Unit.

I hope to buy PC as soon as possible.

I checked out the hotel and left the carry case and headed for Expo.

It took more than 40 minutes to enter.

I got a reservation at Women's pavilion and Kansai pavilion, visitem Malaysia and Common A and othes. At Kyoto booth I attended a tea ceremony which I missed the other day.

I went back to Sakai and visited shrines and Statue of Dragon Princess which I did not notice until today.

I picked up the carry case and headed for Shin Osaka to get on the Shinkansen at 17:54.  It delayed. 

On my way I attended a zoom event.

I came home around 11:30PM.

It was fine but became cloudy.

I started the day later.  

First I went to Sumiyoshi taisha shrine which had the15th day festival. I should have left the hotel earlier.

I walked around about two hours.

Next I went to the Osaka International Convention Center to attend the LWS. 

I mistook the place for tomorrow, and had to run. I should have checked well.

It started at 13:00 and lasted until 19:00 or so. The guest speaker was very nice.

I took a shuttle bus back to Osaka.

I had dinner with friends.

It was a long day.

It was fine in the morning and afternoon, but rained in the evening and stopped raining at night.

I left the hotel around 9:30 and headed for Expo by different route.Today's reservation was 11AM.

I started waiting at USA pavilion but had to gave up because of the first reservation.

I visited more than 15 

I could see my teacher of Expo92 for a short time.

　

I came back to the hotel around 10:30 PM.

It was a cold rainy day.

I left the hotel around 8:15 and headed for Yumeshima.

My reservation was 10AM. I arrived there around 9:30 but it took about one hour to enter.

First I bought a passport and next I bought a map.

I went up to the top of the roof ring and walked around. To my lucky I saw the water show.

I waited in the line and visited Spanish, Saudi Arabia, Nordic Circle,  International Organization,  Kansai, and Kansai Healthcare Pavilions.

I am glad to see my old friend.

I started the day early. I got up around 5 AM and attended the morning reading meeting from 6 AM. I was a guest speaker for the first time. It was the 695th gathering. Isn't it amazing? It is held on every Saturday and Sunday morning from 6 AM and Wednesday night from 9 PM.

After that I went to the beauty salon to have my hair cut and perm.

I ate quick lunch and dropped at kimono shop and went to Iseyama kotai jingu and Naritasan temple.

I attended a seminar after two months or so.

In the evening I took a Shinkansen and came to Osaka. There were many signs about Expo 2025 which starts from tomorrow.

It was another busy day at office.

To my discourage there is something wrong with my PC and I cannot make presentation slides for tomorrow nor new books.

I will be very busy tomorrow from the mormning.

I am looking forward to visiting Expo 2025.

I stayed and worked at home all day long.

I was shocked that my PC did not work though I wanted to prepare the presentation for Saturday and published the 162nd ebook.

I booked the Shinkansen to Osaka and bought the Season Pass for Expo 2025.

I am not sure how much I can see but I hope to visit there at least three times, beginning, middle, and ending to see the changes.

On my way home I went to a gas station and filled up my car. This time I drove about 500km.

My friends and I went to Enoshima shrine to attend the Annual First Day of Snake Festival. They say it's been held every year since 853.  How wonderful history we have!

After the festival we visited three shrines and had late lunch and sweets.

I took my friends to the station and headed for Kamakura to see Cherry blossoms and had dinner with friend.

I came home around 8:30AM.

It was a wonerful two days trip.

It was fine and warm, and rain in the night.

I got up very early to attend the reading meeting which I will be interviewed next Saturday.

After lunch I drove to Kamakura and got together with friends. We visited a shrine and a temple which has name of dragon.

We went to Japanese style inn and headed for Enoshima.

First we had dinner and went to Spa.

My present campaign of the 161st ebook started. To my glad it's been No.1 in Japan.

It was fine and warm.

Today is seimei (清明), one of nijushisekki (二十四節気), 24 solar terms. Last one was shunbun (春分) on March 20, and the next one is kokuu (穀雨) on April 20.

Seimei literally means pure bright. It is the time everything is fresh, bright, and beautiful.

Cherry blossoms at work place is full in bloom and beautiful.

There were lots of works at work and I overworked.

The other day I got two lemons.Today I sliced both of them and put into two bins, one for honey and the other for salt. The former for drink, and the latter for cooking.

Today is the last day of the Academic year and Fiscal year of Japan. So it is the time of leaving and entering. We were rather busy.

Those who leave gave us sweets as a token of thanks.

There was the 42nd Bilingual Fortune Sharing Tea Party tonight. It was interesting as usual.

There was the final match of the High School Baseball Spring Tournament. Yokohama High School has become a champion for the fourth time after 19 years. Congratulations!!

I attended some zoom meetings.

One is a monthly meeting of IWPG.The lecture was about The Great Tokyo Air Raid on March 10, 1945.There were many facts I did not know.

Yesterday there was a big earthquake in Myanmar and Thailand.I sent some messages to friends there. Most of them replied but there are still some I have not heard from.

Today is the new moon. It is a good time to start something. So I sent my profile for the interview for the next month.

It was raining in the morning but became fine in the afternoon.

Cherry blossom are gradually blooming.

At the end of this month five members will  leave from our division. For three of them today was the last day of working.

After work I went to a Thai restaurant to have farewell dinner with two colleagues from other division. It was fun. I was glad to eat my favorite dessert.

I gave my book to three colleagues as a thanks token. I hope they would enjoy.

I walked to the station and went to the Meiji Memorial Picture Gallery which was recommended by a lecturer of the seminar I attended on March 20.

They say it will be closed for two years from April. So I decided to go there in the morning. I felt as if I were in Europe.

After that I moved to Mita to attend the trial lesson of Brain Hacking Academy. Meeting time was 12:15, but actually seminar started around 13:30 because every participant took some tests.

It was informative and worth attending, but I decided not to take one year course.

After that I went to Shinagawa to meet my friend, but I could not see her. Instead I happened to see another friend.

At night there was a zoom session.

It was fine and warm.

I had a zoom meeting with a blog reader for the first time.

I walked to the station after happening to see two of my neighbors.

I went to the National Film Archive of Japan and watched three Japanese movies related Yokohama. First two movies were silent movies with piano. This was the first experience for me. The third one was starring Yusaku Matsuda.

In between there was one hour. So I went to a shop nearby Tokyo station. To my lucky the shop will be closed tomorrow.

I received a book my friend published recently.

It was fine.

Since the cafeteria was closed today I had to bring lunch. 

After one day remote work and a holiday there were so many things to do at work and I overworked for more than one hour and a half. I wanted to finish more but today was once a month system maintenance day I could not use PC and gave up.

There was the meeting of the IWPG Peace Education at night but I missed the most parts and attended the wrap up session only.

There are many things I want to do this month.

Today is a national holiday called Shunbun no hi (春分の日), Vernal Equiox Day.

I got up early to get on the 7:03 train and headed for the Shimbashi to go to the Hama-Rikyu Gardens to take a seven hour seminar.

We had a good time even if the contents were changed.

After that some friends and I had tea and sweets at the tea room.

After saying Good bye I headed for Shinjuku to see the live performance.

There were two parts.

I had supper and came home.

It was a nice day.

It was cloudy and cold in the morning but became fine in the evening.

They said it snowed in Tokyo.

I stayed and worked at home.

At 9 PM I had a zoom session of reading my name. It was fun to know the meaning of my name character. I felt affection of my parents to choose the Kanji character for my name.

In the latter half, we talked what I like to do recently. I talked about the application. It was fun.

There were lots of paperwork and I overworked for three hours.

I had a chance to talk with a colleague who will leave the office at the end of this month. Since we are busy this month, we decided to have dinner next month or so inviting another colleague who left last year. It must be fun.

On my way home I saw thunder light faraway. They say it would be bad weather tomorrow. So, I felt lucky because I will work at home tomorrow.

To my surprise I got two invitations on the same day.

Our section is getting busier and busier.

There was an anouncement of personnel changes from April. Our division will be changed one third staff members. I am  a bit worried from April.

After work I went grocery shopping.

I went to the National Film Archive of Japan to see two movies from "Yokohama and Cinema."

After that I went to Shinjuku to have dinner with friend.

I got up early to go to Sugita by 7:30 to attend an invited bus tour.

I visited the nearby shrine as a ritual of the 15th day of the month first.

As a bus tour we visited the jewelry factory in Yokohama, lunch with strawberry picking, herb garden, and wine tasting in Yamanashi.

We came back at Sugita around 17:30 after stopping at Ebina service area.

After eating supper I visited the Kimono shop and came home around 19:30.

At night I attended three zoom seminars.

It was a fruitful day.

There were many things to do at work, and I did about half of things I intended to do.

So I will be very busy next week.

On my way home I went to the car dealer to have my car inspected after one year.It took less than one hour and cost about yen 25,000. I was advised to change tires which cost about yen 66, 000.

I saw the beautiful fullmoon.

I watched the 48th Japan Academy Awards Ceremony. 

The Best Film Award is Samurai Time Slippers.

Congratulations!

I missed many Japanese movies last year.

I hope to see more movies at the theater.

It was fine and warm outside like spring.They say it willa be warm tomorrow but it will be cold after that again.

There is a word sankan shion (三寒四温), three cold four warm.

In 10 days Cherry blossoms will bloom.

There were many things to do at office as I anticipated.

At night there was the 9th zoom meeting of Peace Education. There were four Japanese and a Korean. We learned some Korean things.

It was a rainy day.

I stayed and worked at home all day long.

There were lots of things I could work at home. But there are some things I can do only at the office too. So I will be busy tomorrow. 

In the evening I listened to a program my friend started today. I could not listen on time but by archive. It was shorter than I thought.

At night I had a zoom meeting with someone. I thought it was three members meeting but it was only us. I tried the sample. I was not going to buy anything but decided to try some.

It's been 14 years since the Great East Earthquake happened. I still remember the day. Not everything but most things I experienced. In the morning, in the afternoon, at night, next morning, and after that.

I could not come home that day and stayed at the office in Shinjuku because the trains stopped.

There were many things changed since then.

 

It would be the day we never forget in our lives.

I went to Kurihama to join the hiking with high school classmates. Thiswas the 8th hiking, there were four members today.

We got together around 10AM and walked to Chiyogasaki Gun Battery Site. There was the volunteer's guided tour for more than one hour.

After that we moved to the remain of the light house nearby. The color of the sea was so beautiful.

We climbed up to Mt. Atago park.

We came back to the station after four hours and had lunch at a Chinese restaurant.

We said good bye there and I came back to Miura kaigan and walked to Misaki guchi to see the last day of Cherry Blossom Festival.

At night there was a zoom session.

It was another eventful day.

It was cloudy and slightly snowed and cold.

I went to Sendagi to see my friend's strings art exhibition. 

After that I walked to JR Nippori station via Yanaka Ginza.

I went to Tokyo to have lunch with my friend after several years.

After that I went to the National Film Archive of Japan for the first time to see two movies of ''Yokohama and Cinema." 

They are made in 1972 and 1983.  

After that I had dinner with a new friend.

It was fine and cold today.

There was a lot of work at office. March and September are the busiest months for my current work.

To my glad I got many sweets today.

At night I had two online sessions.One was my friend's special offer of the coaching session. We talked a lot and needed more time than it was supposed to.

The other was the 5th day of the 5 days challenge of Brain Summit.

At work there was a chance of knowing about cultural differences regarding names.

In Japan we write our names family name first and given name next. Our name usually show our parents' wish for our children.

But when I speak English I say my given name first, and family name last.

They say in some countries people do not have family name.

In other countries people have a long name of 4 to 6.

It is very difficult for us to pronounce other culture's word, therefore some people use nick names.

I hear the formal name of Bangkok is very long. I wonder how many people use that name.

Name is important. We need to pay respect for each culture.

It was the fourth day of the five days challenge of Brain Study. Tonight's topic was about sleep.

At night there was the 8th lesson of the Peace Education.

It was another cold rainy day. 

It snowed yesterday but it did not pile.

It is Keichitsu (啓蟄), one of 24 sekki (二十四節気), 24 solar terms. Last one was Usui (雨水) on February 18 and the next one is Shunbun (春分) on March 20. It is the time that the insects that hibernate in winter come out. But it was still cold today.

I stayed and worked at home.

In the evening I tried some new online games for brain training. Some were very difficult.

At night I attended two zoom meetings. One was the third day for the five day program of brain training.

On my way home I visited my kimono teacher of more than 30 years ago at the care facility near my house to celebrate her 90 years' birthday. 90 years celebration is known as sotsuju(卆寿).

At night I attended the five days Program of practicing the lessons of Brain summit. It was very informative.

I prepared the 159th ebook in the morning and published it in the afternoon.

I walked to Miura kaigan station through Komatsu pond where is one of the main festival venues of cherry blossoms festival.There were so many people today.

I went to Zushi to see my high school tennis friend's Art Exhibition.

After that I climbed up mountain to see the Nagae Sakurayawa Ancient Tumuli where I read by newspaper recently.

I saw the beautiful sunset there.

After grocery shopping I came home around 7:30PM.

A new month has started. March is Sangatsu (3月, 三月) or Yayoi (弥生) in Japanse.

There are some routine works I do on the first day of the month such as changing plants, rice, salt of the inhouse shrine and 5 mounted salt, visiting the nearby shrine, and writing about calendar reading.

Usually I go to the shrine by car but today I walked.

After visiting shrine I went to the nearby pond to see Kawazu cherry blossoms. There were many people today.

In the afternoon I listened to Brain Summit by YouTube. It was informative.

In the evening I talked with a writer who was introduced by someone. From penname I thought it was a man but a women. We enjoyed talking.

I was rather busy at office.

March and September are very busy months for my section.

I overworked a little bit and missed the plan to go to see my high school friend's art exhibition.

At night I hosted the 42nd bilingal fortune sharing tea party. Since I use the free zoom setting we had three sessions. We enjoyed talking. We may get together in April.

They say the Imperial Theater closed tonight after 59 years for renewal.

I found there were two pictures I did not include in the 158th and revised. One of the good things of KDP is to be able to revise easily.

 

At night there was the 7th International Education Lecture of IWPG.

They say Nadeshiko Japan, Japanese women's soccer team won by America and  became a champion at Shebelieves Cup Championship which is the first international tournament led by the new director. They have had 40 matches by now and won only once. Congratulations!!

I walked to Miura kaigan station to see Cherry blossoms and Rape blossoms. Blooming differs within 2 kilometers.

I took trains to Taura to see plum blossoms with high school friends. The view from the mountain top was nice and I could see the Tokyo Sky Tree and Yokohama Landmark Tower.

After that we went to Yokosuka to have lunch.

We went to High School Alumni Office and saw albums. There is a book of 100 Prestigious High School, and ours is one of them. What an honor!

After that I went to beauty shop to have my hair cut and perm.

At night I attended a zoom event for travel lovers.It was fun.

Today is usui (雨水), one of nijushisekki (二十四節気), 24 solar terms. The last one was risshun (立春) on February 3, and the next one will be keichitsu (啓蟄) on March 5.

Usui literally means rain water. It is the time when snow changes to rain and snow starts melting.

However weather forecast says it will be cold from tomorrow again. 

There were lots of work today too.

Usually I stay inside during office hours. Today I had a chance to go out to the post in the afternoon. Weather was fine and I felt good.

From today I started earning points through ANA pocket. Since today is ichiryu manbaibi, I hope to get enough points to fly around the world by the First class.

I got up early to wear kimono and went to Ushitenjin Kitano Jinja shrine to attend the 43rd Plum Festival with friends. We enjoyed having tea, sweet sake, pork soup, and getting special red stamp with plum wind and sweets.

Two of them left there, and four of us visited four more shrines and had tea and headed for Shinjuku.

I had Afternoon Tea with seven friends. 90 minutes passed quickly and we enjoyed talking and eating.

After that I had dinner with a friend.

After saying goodbye, unexpected thing happened to her, and we met again.

I attended two zoom events on my way back.

There was a zoom gathering of Peace Education at night. There was a Korean, so I said "Good evening" in Korean. She was very impressed to hear that. She said that word is like "Hello" and could be used in the morning and afternoon and night. 

To know foreign languages is a good way to understand each other.

I got a replacement of heater which had a problem.

Today is a national holiday called Kenkoku kinen no hi (建国記念の日), National Foundation Day.

I got up early to get on the 7:03 train to go to Yokoze. From there my friend and I took one day bus tour to visit three icicle places in Chichibu from 11:30AM to 7PM.

First we had lunch. Next we visited Onouchi valley. It was fantastic. We crossed the suspension bridge.

Next we went to Misotsuchi where I visited on February 10, 2019.

We visited sake brewing place. Though we could not see the factory but enjoyed tasting and shopping.

Finally we went to Ashigakubo where was lighten up.

It was a very nice tour and cost yen 10000.

I came home before midnight.

At night I watched movies on TV but fell asleep in the second one. First one was for  the first time and the second one was many times I watched before.

I usuall eat lunch at Cafeteria.There are four or five main menus every day. It costs yen 700. We choose one main menu. We get rice, miso soup, side dish, pickles, salada, tea as much as we wish. If we are lucky we can get dessert. Today I could not get one unfortunately. 

I do not understand why they don't prepare the same amount dessert as main dish.

At night I had a zoom meeting of Peace Education which lasted longer than schedule.

I got an invitation of special exhibition of Ukiyoe at National Museum of Japanese History in Sakura, Chiba.

Today is my teacher's 82nd birthday. She is the very first teacher of my primary school. I only went to the first school from April to December because my parents built their own house. After that I have contacted her by new year's card. When I became adult we met again, and I visited her several times.

I have written 10 years diary and knew it was her birthday.

So I called her after a long time. She looked fine. She has forgotten her birthday.  And she was glad to have my surprise call.

After that I went to Asakusa to see the Setsubun event. However it was too late.

To my lucky I could see the part of the event on my way back and got some beans.

I went to Ginza to see Hirono Nakamura's  Yakuryu2025 exhibition. I happened to see my friend there.

After that I went to Shibuya to see the after recording of the movie I attended as Extra last year.

A new month has started.

February ir nigatsu (2月, 二月) or Kisaragi (如月) in Japanese.

It is the coldest month in a year.

I went to the nearby shrine for the first day visit.

After that I visited my teacher of Kimono wearing lesson at the Care Center near my place. I have not seen her for more than 30 years or so. Her husband wrote me to visit her but it seems she does not recognize me. She looked sad having nothing to do but sleep and eat.

I stayed there for an hour.

I went shopping.

At night I attended a zoom event.

I made the 155th ebook.

There were many things to do on the last day of the month. 

One of them is to make a photo album of 20 pages by Nohana. I wanted to make a calendar too, but they say there are not fixed holidays yet and we can't make it yet.

The other is Fortune Sharing Bilingual Tea Party by zoom. There was something wrong with my PC, and I could not let my friend in to the new meeting set. I do not know why.

Besides thIs I had another zoom meeting from 7PM tonight. So I was rather busy.

I applied for the invitation trip in March.

Happy New Year!

The year of snake in the lunar calendar has begun.

I could spend the 5th new year's eve and new year's day in Ise.

Weather was fine and I could see the first sun rise of the year.

I got up early to attend the morning service, ate breakfast, changed to kimono, and checked out the hotel.

We went to Naigu to dedicate Okagura performance, had lunch, and visited the shrines again.

On our way back to the hotel we had sweet red been soup.

After coming back to the hotel I changed the clothing. To my glad my friend took me to the station. I had dinner.

Now I am getting on the night bus bound for Yokohawa.

It was a nice trip.

I got up early to see the sunrise, but unfortunately it was cloudy.

After coming back to the hotel I wore kimono, checked out the hotel and visited shrines.

There was a shuttle bus and I went to the next hotel to leave the suitcase and went to Isuzugawa station and had lunch.

Meeting time was 12:30, but the chartered bus came earlier.  At 1PM the tour started. There were two buses and 60 people. It is nice to see old friends and make new friends.

At dinner to my lucky my teacher sat next to md.

I went to hotel to leave suitcase.I found I lost a left glove somewhere.

I went to shrines and happened to see my friend. We went to have tea at a new shop.

I said good bye to my friend and headed for Takihara to visit some shrines. After all I hiked more than 10km.

There were no restaurant available for tonight.

At night I attended two zoom gatherings.

I walked to the station listening to a zoom seminar.

First I left my suitcase at YCAT and went to China town and visited two parks and had tea.

Four of us enjoyed walking through the rose garden and along the seaside.

There was a new year's party of my high school classmates at a Chinese restaurant in China Town. There were 11 this year, and there were two tables.

We enjoyed talking and eating and drinking.

After that we walked to Noge, and I said good bye to them and headed for Aoyama 1 chome to see a new comedy which I got invitation.

It was interesting.

My friend and I had dinner.

After saying good bye to her I listen to a zoom seminar.

I came back to Yokohama to take a night bus to Mie at 22:55.

It was an eventful day.

In the morning I attended Ken Honda's online seminar to accomplish the dream for three hours. It was a big international event and there was an English interpreter.

Soon after that I attended a short meeting.

From 6:30PM there was a monthly meeting of IWPG Tokyo branch. I was a speaker and I talked about my overseas publishing experience.

At night I attened a present seminar. It was an interesting topic.

There was a big news.  Ex−Baseball player Ichiro 51 years old was inducted into the Hall of Fame in the USA, which was the first Asian. They say it was 99.7% agree, and only 1 person was disagree. He said it was better than perfect. Congratulations!!

At night I had three zoom sessions. I learned many things from each session.

I got an invitation for the performance on Sunday which costs yen 20000 for two person. How lucky I am!

It's been 10 years since I celebrated his birthday last.

January 15 is known as koshogatsu (小正月), literally means small new year. It is the first fullmoon of the new year in luner calendar. The customs remain after changing to the Gregorian calendar. There are some events such as burning new year's decoration but I do not do anything special by myself.

There was a progress at work.

Today is a national holiday called Seijin no hi (成人の日) coming of age day.

It was used be on January 15,  but has been moved to the second Monday. of January.

To be adult had been 20 years old until March 31, 2022 but since April 1, 2022 it's been 18 years old.

On this day there is a ceremony and women wear the beautiful long sleeves kimono called furisode (振袖).

It was the last day of three day weekend. I stayed at home all day long. I watched some recorded movies and dramas.

I got up early and wore kimono and headed for Ana hachimangu shrine. Since my friend arrived earlier we started earlier. We visited a shrine and three temples and had a quick lunch.

We headed for Ueno next to visit Benzaiten because today is the first snake day of the year.

We headed for Yushima tenjin next.

After that four friends joined and we had nice Afternoon Tea. We enjoyed talking, eating, and drinking.

There was a new year greeting by the  president. He asked us to change from last year.

There was a new year party after that.

Since it was canceled last year, this was the first time for me to attend this kind of event.

It was cloudy, fine, and rain. It was cold.

January 7 is known as nanakusa (七草), seven herbs. In new year's days we tend to eat delicious foods too much. To rest our stomach we eat rice porridge with seven herbs on this day.

Within today it is called matsu no uchi (松の内), I cleared the new year's decoration of the entrance.

Since it is ichiryu manbaibi (一粒万倍日) when is a good time to start something, I started preparing my 152nd ebook. There were about 600 pictures and I chose about 160 pictures out of them.

I got an airmail from the USA which was posted on December 28, 2024 from Illinois.

This winter I did not send any Christmas card by airmail but sent by email.

I should have sent some.

I got invitations for the events. I can't attend one of them, but I will attend others.

At work there was an international delivery service I have been waiting since last year  but it was not arrived yet.

I went to Tanashi to attend a lecture of Aichi Myth. It was the last session of the 6 lectures series.

I went to the first 1＆2 lessons in March last year and the second 3＆4 lessons in August last year in Osaka.

Before lecures I visited Tanashi jinja shrine. There was already a long waithng line. At lunch time there was a longer waiting line. After lectures there was still a long waiting line.

I went back to the station with a friend whom I met last February last.

On my way home I went to a shop to return ink.

 

At night I attend a zoom session. I was glad that my question was taken up at the first place.

It was fine.

I got up early and headed for Meiji jingu shrine. There was an accident and I had to use JR from Kurihama.

I got together with my friend at Meiji jingu shrine and attended the official prayer ceremony at 9:30.

After that we went to Asakusa to see the vaudeville from 11:30 to 13:45 or so.

We said goodbye there, and she headed for her event and I started visiting Seven Lucky Gods in Asakusa at 9 shrines and temples.

In the evening we got together again to have dinner.

After coming home I attended a zoom meeting.

My 151st ebook campaign started. To my glad it's been No.1 in Japan.

It was a nice day.

It was cloudy in the morning but became fine, and I saw the beautiful sunset.

To my glad my 151st ebook became No.1 in Japan.

Today was the second day of the Hakone Ekiden. Aoyama Gakuin University won the race for the secound year in a row and the eighth time with the new tournament record of 10 hours 41 minutes 19 seconds. Congratulations!!

I watched the recorded program to make space for the next program.

I cooked curry with lotus because it was a lucky food of today.

It was fine.

I went to Koenbo Hie jinja shrine for the first time because I wanted to see the beautiful scenery of Mt.Fuji through torii gate. It was really beautiful.

Next I went to post the New Year's cards.

Since the postage was raised from yen 63 to yen 85, I received fewer new year's cards than usual and I also reduced to 100 cards.

Then I went to Beisia around 10:10. There were already so many cars waiting and I could not buy fukubukuro, lucky bag.

I watched the first part of Hakone Ekiden on TV.

There was a zoom gathering of announcement of lottery result.I did not gain anything.

I pubIished the 151st ebook.  

I watched movies and dramas on TV.

I went to the nearby shrine in the midnight. They gave me a set of red and white rice cakes. 

Before 7 AM I went to see the first sunrise of the new year. 

i bought a set of printer ink jet the other day but it was not the right one and I had to buy again.

I made New Year's cards.

My 150th ebook became No.1 in the USA.

I am very glad.

This morning I did loundry, washed my car, and windows of my house.

I transferred money for the new crypt currency because today is the new moon and day of snake.

I went to my parents' graveyard. After that I went to Kainan jinja shrine. I was surprised to see the person of my workplace.

I went shopping at three places.

I ordered Nohana album and pictures.

It was rather busy year end.
