2015.3.19

It was a cloudy and rainy day but it was not so cold.

Yesterday it was the first day of higan (彼岸), the equinoctial week. There is a saying "Atsusa samusa mo higan made (暑さ寒さも彼岸まで). " Both heat and cold last until the equinoctial week.
So maybe it is right.

Because of the warmth of this past three days, many flowers started blooming.

2015.2.12

It was fine today.

It is still cold, but spring is certainly approaching day by day.
The day time has become longer.
Flowers of cherry blossoms at the station have started blooming.

2013.3.12

It was rather warm.
I stayed at the hotel in Tokyo last night where I stayed about the same time last year.  Next week I will stay there again.
Without seeing just one day, the green leaves of cherry tree were increased.

2013.3.5

In the morning I saw the beautiful plum tree and cherry trees full in bloom.  Even if we have cold days every day, spring is coming for sure.
Today is keichitsu (啓蟄), one of nijyushisekki (二十四節季) the 24 solar terms.  The last one was usui (雨水) on February 18 and the next one will be shumbun (春分) on March 20.  Keichitsu is the day on which an insect's hibernation ends.  So on calendar too the spring is coming.

2013.2.27

It rained and very cold.
The 10 days program was over today and I came back home.
At my nearest station I found the cherry blossoms (河津桜: Kawazu zakura) were already blooming in spite of this coldness, and I felt spring is coming.
