What kind of wishes do you have?

In Japanese calendar it is written as 7.7.7 because this year is the 7th year of Reiwa.

Triple 7 looks very auspicious, isn't it?

It was fine and hot.

They say it went up to more than 40 degrees centigrade in Shizuoka for the first time this year.

Today is tanabata (七夕) star festival when Vega and Altair can meet once a year across the Milky Way.

We decorate Bamboo trees with color strips with written wishes.

I stayed at home all day long.

There was an election for the Governor of Tokyo. The current Governor Yuriko Koike was elected foq the third time.

I worked at home and took two hours off in the evening to attend a meeting in Tokyo.

July 7 is called tanabata (七夕), star festival, litetally 7th night. This is the day when Altair and Vega meet once in a year across the milkyway. We decorate the bamboo tree with strips of colored paper in which we write wishes.

What kind of wishes do you have?

Usually since it is in the rainy season, it often rains on this day. Therefore this year is exceptional.

We went out for lunch at a very nice Japanese style restaurant.
