2026.4.24

It was rainy and cold in the morning but became fine.

Trains delayed but I could be in time.

I was busy, overworked and came home around 10 PM.

I got sweets as souvenirs at office. One from Tokyo, the other from Kobe. Since the former was half-rare Japanese one so that I ate today. The other was a local taste cookies, Kobe pudding, of popular cookie named Country Mom. I am looking forward to tasting them next week.

I am glad to find all participants of tomorrows dinner party and did not have to cancel any.

2021.7.14

It was fine.

We happened to have a team meeting and I gave them sweets from Kyushu trip.
One is a very famous one, but I have not eaten for a long time.  The other was a chocolate of Tsukushi mochi taste, which was very unique texture. Another was a salty candy, but was not so salty.

I like to try new sweets.

At night I tried gumi of yatsuhashi taste which I bought in Kyushu. Yatsuhashi is a famous sweet in Kyoto. Strange, isn't it?

2020.3.18

It was fine.

At lunch time I went to Takebashi. I happened to find a small market from Tohoku speciality. They were offering famous sweets called "Kamome no tamago (かもめの玉子) Eggs of Seagulls." There were two different kinds. One is a regular taste, the other is a Cherry blossom taste which is only sold in Kanto. I thought there is a factory only in Iwate. But they say there is another one in Tokyo. It was a surprise.

2012.3.2

Tomorrow is doll's festival. It is a festival for girls. Therefore the director of our department bought sweets called sakuramochi (桜餅) for girls. Isn't it nice?
Sakura means cherry blossom, and mochi means rice cake. It is wrapped with a salted leaf of cherry blossom and rice cake is cute pink, and there is sweet red bean paste inside. So delicious.

2012.2.13

Tomorrow is St. Valentine's Day. Yesterday was off so my colleagues baked cakes and they brought them to the office, therefore we had many snacks today. Our business makes us travel here and there, and whenever we go on a business trip, we buy some souvenirs. Today we have sweets from Tohoku area. Sweets make us happy.
Snack is oyatsu (おやつ), souvenir is omiyage (おみやげ), and sweets is okashi (おかし) in Japanese. What kind of sweets do you like? I like chocolate, cake, and Japanese sweets (和菓子: wagashi).
