五月二十九日(gogatsu nijyuku nichi): May 29

Mizuho Fukushima (福島瑞穂), Minister of State for Consumer Affairs and Food Safety, Social Affairs, and Gender Equality in Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama's (鳩山由紀夫) cabinet was dismissed because she opposed a bilateral agreement between Japan and the United States to relocate U.S. Marine Corps Air Station in Okinawa.
This was the 5th dismissal case under the Japanese Constitution, and the first case of the head of the party.
She used to be a lawyer before becoming a politician. I have been interested in her because she has got married in reality but not legaly and kept her maiden name. This marriage style is called jijitsukon (事実婚) and fufubessei (夫婦別姓). I would like to keep my name too.
