The last day of 2025.

The last day of the year is called Omisoka.

We usually eat soba noodle wishing the long life.

Many people watch NHK's kohaku uta gassen, Red and White Song Battle at night which lasts for more than four hours.

How was your 2025?

I have traveled a lot.

I went to Korea in July and Uzbekistan in November on business trips.It's been more than 6 years and a half since I went abroad last.

I have visited many shrines and temples in various occasion.

I tried making home made plum pickles, plum juice and plum wine for the first time.

I published 40 ebooks.

It was a good year.

It was fine.

I tried to think of new year's cards.

In the afternoon I washed my car and windows of the first floor.

I went to my parents' graveyard but it was too late to buy flowers.

I went shopping for new year's foods and flowers. Many goods were expensive.

After coming home I decorated new year's things.

At night I hosted the Bilingual Fortune Sharing Tea Party. We enjoyed talking about what good things happened in December and the Best thing of 2025 and hopes of 2026.

It was fun.

To my glad my 188th ebook is No.1 in the USA, India and Japan.

It was fine.

I slept long,

In the afternoon there was a compilation of NHK's taiga drama "Berabou" broadcast on  Sunday nights this year.

At 3PM I attended my friend's zoom event.

Today was the last day of the 187th ebook present. It became No.1 in the USA, Germany, and Japan.

Present campaign of No.188th ebook started.

I published No.190th ebook which is the third and the last ebook of three ebooks of my trip to Miyagi in October 2025.

I was going to make new year's cards but I found I needed to do from the scatch because I had to change my PC.

I stayed at home all day long.

I published the 189th ebook in the afternoon.

I submitted the draft of the 190th ebook.

After all I have published 40 ebooks as the same number as last year.

It was cloudy, fine, and cold.

I walked to the station and found that there was an accident and trains stopped. I had to change the route.  

We postpone the lunch for 30 minutes. Three of us celebrated two persons birthdays.

After that I went shopping and headed for Shibuya. We had a rehearsal for an hour and a half.

Four of us had dinner at a chinese restaurant.

To my glad my 187th ebook has become No.1 in Germany.

I came home by taxi.

It was rainy and cloudy and very cold.

I had a day off.

In the morning I made the 188th ebook.

Today is the day of Tsuchinotomi which happens every 60 day, and is supposed to be a good day to deal with money.

I walked to the station and headed for Nakanobu to visit Hebikubo jinja shrine which is related with snake and Benzaiten. Since it is Taian and the last day of snake this year,  there was a long waiting line and it took about one hour and a half.

Next I headed for Shinjuku to attend a seminar which lasted longer than I thought.

After that I went to have dinner with my friend's son and started the new program.

Unfortunately I missed the last train and had to take a taxi to come home. It cost yen 5100!!

Merry Christmas!!

Today is the last day of working this year.

There was a concert at lunch time. 

On my way home I went grocery shopping.

To my glad my 187th ebook is No.1 in the USA and Japan.

At night I watched a movie "One Christmas Eve" on TV.

It was a very cold day.

I stayed and worked at home.

Today is the last day of the 186th campaign and the first day of the 187th campaign.

I sent a Christmas letter with my 187th ebook.

It was fine.

I knew that today is a day of Tiger which happens every 12 day. It is supposed a good day to spend money. Because tiger can go 1000 ri (about 4000km) and come back. Therefore, if you use money, it will be back.

So, I decided to go to banks, shopping, and filling up my car after work.

Every Tuseday my gas station has a present campaign and I got snacks which were delicious.

At an electronics retail shop I bought a set of printer ink and I got a beautiful calendar of World Heritage Sites.

So, I felt lucky.

It is Toji (冬至), Winter solstice today. It is the day when the daytime is the shortest.

On this day we Japanese eat pumpkin and take a yuzu bath so as not to get a cold.

Do you have anything to eat like this on this day?

There are some shrines and temples which start distributing special charm written Ichiyo raifuku (一陽来復) meaning when yin reaches its peak, it becomes yang.

Today I published the 187th ebook.It is the  sequel of the 186th ebook.

It was fine.

I took an hour off to go to a car dealer to chargje the battery gradually for two days.

They sent me to the house.

There will be a broadcasting program about our Matsuyama event. 

 

At night there was a zoom seminar.

From today the 186th present campaign started. 

To my glad some friends downloaded and wrote me their impressions.

It was cloudy and rainy.

In the morning the new washing machine arrived. The person in charge was able to open the door and I could get my clothes.

I could wash the clothes of my two trips finally.

In the evening I went to pick up my car.

After that I went grocery shopping.

There was a webinar tonight which lasted for about four hours.

To my glad my 186th ebook is No.1 in Japan, the USA, Germany, and No.2 in India.

I submitted the 187th draft.

It was cloudy but became rain in the evening.

Postman came to bring new years postcard I ordered the other day. This year I limited the number to 100 only,

After eating lunch I headed for Yokohama to attend the monthly meeting.After that I visited the shrine and temple.

It started raining. Usually I bring an umbrella but I forgot today. So I took a taxi on my way home.

In the evening there was a monthly zoom gathering.

It was fine.

I took an hour off to leave my car at home, and walked to the station.

There was a year−end party of the Division, and eight of us attended.

How fast time flies!

I published the 186th ebook today.

It was fine.

When I was getting on the car, it didn't start. I called JAF for the first time in my life. 

The person in charge called me and came about 30 minutes or so, and I could go to office by 10 AM.

There was a reporting session of my trip to Uzbekistan last month. I was able to make a presentation as schedule.

On my way home, I went to a car dealer to consult about my car.

I submitted a draft of No.186 ebook.

It was fine.

I stayed and worked at home all day long,  which we can do once a week.

I have been trying to open the door of  washing machine, but it does not move at all. I hope to take out clothes before the new machine comes.

At lunch time I had a chance to talk with my friend after a long time. We will get together next week.

My 185th ebook has been No.1 in Japan, and ranked in India.

It was cloudy and rainy.

There was a main event of this Matsuyama tour. 

I wore kimono for this special occasion.

In the morning there was the Blue Star of Life 2025 event of the 80th Anniversary of United Nation's funding and the 30th anniversary of TBSL event.  There were many VIPs.

In the afternoon there was another special event to honor Madam Sadako Ogata.

I went out for dinner where we wanted to go the day before for lunch.

It was cloudy and fine.

We started the day after breakfast. We visited many places in Tobe.

Tobe is famous for ceramics, and we visited many related facilties.

It was nice to see the sister vase of the Blue Star of Planet dedicated to the United Nations Office at Geneva.

I had a chance to walk around the town by myself too.

It was cloudy and cold.

My 185th ebook is released. 

I watched the archive seminar today too.

After work I went to electronic retail shop I went to the day before yesterday. The person in charge the other day left earlier today and other staff took care of me.

I bought a washing machine becausei it is a day of tiger when is a good day for spending money.  I bought the one that is  different from what I was going to buy the other day.

I made name cards for Matsuyama event.

It was fine.

We got together before 6AM and headed for the airport. It took longer than we expected to check in but we could manage to get on the booked flight.

To my lucky I got the window side, but could not add the mileage.

In Tokyo we visited Japan Red Cross, Official Residence of the Speaker of House of Representatives, United Nations University, Asakusa, and enjoyed river cruise.

After sending participants off at the airport, I went to Nihonbashi to see my friend.

It was a long day.

It was fine.

I got up at 5AM, walked to the station, got on the train at 6AM, and arrived at Haneda Airport at 7:30AM.

I met 6 people there and we flew to Matsuyama.Unfortunately I could not take a window side sheet.

 

After arriving at Matsuyama we headed for Dogo onsen and had lunch. After that I walked around for an hour.

We had orientation and some of us went to see the venue and had dinner.

There was a webinar at night.

It was fine.

I left home earlier to stop by at Tateishi to find a stone for the weekend event in Matsuyama.

In the evening I had an online meeting for that event. It lasted for more than two hours and a half.

After that I started making the 185th ebook. It is about a collection of Sunlight pictures I took in November.

I have been to many places in November.

It was fine.

I came back to Tokyo around 5:40AM an and the door does not open.

I stayed and worked at home all day long.

There were many mails for the passed 10 days.

My suitcase arrived and I sent it back to the next destination.

There was another big earthquake tonight.

We started the day early. 

Around 5 AM we got up and walked to the Great torii gate. It is usually in the sea but at the low tide we can walk to the gate. It was so big and the fullmoon was so beautiful.

After checking out we left the luggage at the hotel and visited a shrine and a temple in Miyajima. 

We had a special lunch of a variety of Oyster dishes.

We enjoyed fried momiji manju and bought some sweets and went back to the hotel to pick up the luggage.

We took a ferry and a train and went to Yokogawa.

I went to my ancester's grave yard. Until last year I visited there with my uncle and aunt, but he passed away on June 30 this year.

After that I visited a shrine and went back to the station to see my friend again and we took a taxi to Mitaki temple.  

We went to Hiroshima station and bought some sweets and had early dinner.

We took a night bus at 5:50PM to Tokyo.

It was a nice trip.

It was fine.

After breakfast I ordered to pick up the suitcase and checked out. 

I headed for Hiroshima station and got together with friend and headed for Miyajima.

We went to the hotel to leave luggage and went to Itsukushima jinja shrine. There was a wedding ceremony.

We visited the Treasure Museum.

We visited Daiganji and Senjokaku and had Chikaramochi rice cake. We bought rice balls. We got croissant momiji and climbed Mt. Misen. It was fine and the view was very nice.

After that we headed for the hotel and went out for dinner but after all decided to have supper in the room.

We felt very tired but accomplished.

We had strange weather, fine, rain, sleet. There was rainbow too.

I started the day early. First I visited Izumo oyashiro.

After having a square breakfast I wore kimono.

We went to Miho jinja shrine and got official prayer.

We had seafood lunch at the same place as usual.

And we visited the Bukkokuji.

We came back to Izumo.

I took the 17:00 long distance bus to Hiroshima and arrived around 20:20.

I bought Okonomiyaki but there was dinner at hotel. I took a public bath.

It was cloudy, rainy, hail, and fine.

Today is the main event of this trip. 

I got dressed up, checked out, and headed for Izumo. First I went to Takenoya Hotel to leave my luggages. Then I went to Izumo Oyashiro to attend the Kami musubi taisai Festival which is the main celemony of this week−long festival.

After that I visited the museum, and went to Inasa Beach.

Then I visited my benefactor of several years ago.

And I came back to Takenoya hotel, and 50 of us went to Izumo Oyashiro to get prayer, and visited many shrines of the precinct.

We had delicious dinner.

At night there was a lecture from 8:30 to 11:00PM.

It was a long day.

It was cloudy, haii, rain, and very cold.

I left Matsue in the morning and came to Izumo City.

I could not rent a car soon, and had to wait until 2PM, so I walked around the city.

I had Izumo noodle at a very famous restaurant of 200 years history. 

I visited three shrines and ancient tomb.

Since the weather was not good, I was wondering if I should rent a car or not. But after all I did and visited three shrines I wanted to go.

I came back to Izumo City, had dinner and checked in the hotel around 22:30.

It was fine.

In the morning I visited the nearby shrine before checking out.

I went to rent a car. For four hours I have enjoyed visiting the sightseeing places. It was a very nice experience.

I tried fishing for the first time and got a free ride back to Shichirui port by Oki toku ticket campaign. 

On the ferry I tried Oki's local sake "Oki homare" which was very tasty.

 

I came back to Matsue and had dinner with a special hotel guest coupon.

At night there was a monthly zoom meeting.

A new month has started. December is junigatsu (12月.、 十二月) or Shiwasu (師走) in japan. .

There is only one month left. How fast time flies!

It was fine today.

After breakfast I visited the nearby shrine.After checking out I went to rent a car. There I found there is no high speed boat at the time I was going to take and I had to change my schedule. Therefore, I could visit about half of my plan.

Instead I could visit two more islands.

I am planning the schedule for the day after tomorrow.

It was fine.

I went to Sugita to have my hair cut and perm.

After having lunch I headed for Asakusa to see the Golden Dragon made by an artist whom I met about three years ago or so. 

Since today is the second Cock Market, there were so many people at the Otori jinja shrine area.

After coming home, I sent the suitcase to the hotel I will stay at the end of this week.

To my glad my 184th ebook has been No.1 in Japan.

It was fine in the morning and became cloudy.

I stayed and worked at home.

I could receive the delivery I ordered the other day.

I held the 51st Bilingual Fortune Sharing Tea Party. Though there were only three of us, we enjoyed talking about the trips we have been to.

From tomorrow I will travel for 10 days.It must be fun.

It was fine.

My friend and I went to Yaegaki jimja, Koizumi Yakumo Memorial Museum and House and headed for Sakai Port to have lunch.

After that I took a ferry to go to Oki Island.I left at Sakai Port at 14:10 and arrived at Saigo Port at 18:25. It cost yen 3510.

After checking in the hotel, I went shopping. There was only one drug store opened. 

I ate female crabs I bought at the fish market for dinner. They were delicious.

It was fine.

I arrived at Okayama at 8:25 and headed for Kibitsu to visit two shrines.

After that I took a long distance bus for Izumo. I changed a schedule and dropped at Matsue and went to the hotel first. My friend took me to some shrines.

We tried to find a parking lot but could not, therefore we said goodbye at the Inasa beach and I went to see the welcoming gods ceremony. Unfortunately I could not see the ceremony well. Anyway I went to the Izumo taisha, and I saw some parts of the ceremony and got rice cakes.

On my way I could see someone whom I will visit next week.

There were so many people and it was hard to get on the train but I could manage.

I enjoyed talking with people who happened to be with the train.

It was fine.

I received two mochu (喪中) postcards. One is from an old friend from primary and secondary school whose mother passed away at the age of 90. 

The other was from the comany which chairman was my Facebook friend whom I met in Shiogama last year but could not see this year because of his health condition. We tried to talk but the timing was not good and we could not talk after all. I thought he would be better and someday we could get together. I should have called him more.

After having supper I cleaned in house shrine to take out the talisman where I will visit next week.

I walked to the station and headed for Yokohama. I took a night to Okayama.

It was fine.

Mt.Fuji looked very beautiful covered with snow.

To my glad my 184th e-book has been No.1 in Japan.

On my way home I went to ATMs and shopping.

The sumo wrestler Aonishiki (安青錦) from Ukraine became the new Ozeki. He became the champion at the Kyushu tournament the other day. He promoted fastest by 14 tournaments. He is 21 years old. He came to Japan three years and a half ago. Congratulations!!

It was cloudy and slightly raining.

There was a webinar at work.

After three day weekend there were some souvenirs from colleagues.

I received some mails including from Kashihara jingu with Otoso ingredients.

It was fine.

November 23 is a national holiday called Kinro kansha no hi (勤労感謝の日), Labour Thanksgiving Day.

Since it was Sunday, tomorrow is the transferred holiday. and we have a three day weekend.

There was the ceremony called Niinamesai (新嘗祭) at the nearby shrine and I went to see it. It is to thank the harvest of the year.

I went grocery shopping at a supermarket  after that and I happened to see the person I could only see once a month at the seminar.

It was the last day of the183rd book campaign. Unfortunately it was No.2 in the USA as long as I saw.

I published the 184th ebook today about the Sunlight pictures I took in October.

It was fine.

I walked to the station and headed for Shibuya to have luncheon.

After that we went to attend the Kick off meeting of the new movie which I appear. I took 6 friends with me who will appear too as Extra.It was a very interesting experience.

After that I went to Musashi sakai to have crab dinner to celebrate my friend's birthday.

I came home by last train.

It was fine.

I stayed at home and worked.

The repair person finally came and fixed the problem. This is the third time to ask the repair therefore they discounted the total fee than last time.

I received the delivery goods.

Today is the new moon and it is a good time to think of goals you want to accomplish.

I received an important document from Fushinan which is a headquarter of Tea Ceremony School.They offered the license of teaching the way of tea. I will think about it.

It was cloudy and cold. It was the coldest day in this winter.

There were many paperworks at Office.

At night I cleaned a part of kitchen. It took longer than expected.

So there were other things I was going to do but did not.

I stayed and worked at home. I checked the bilingal documents and sent pictures to the volunteer staffs of Japan Education Fair in Uzbekistan.

I planned my trip to Izumo and Hiroshima at the end of this month and the early next month.

Since it is the festival season there, it is very hard to find the accommodations.

I stayed at home all day long, did laundry and cleaned.

I made the 183rd ebook about my trip to Kansai in September. At that time I traveled Shiga, Kyoto, Nara and Osaka for 3 days

At night there was a monthy meeting.

I made plans to visit Oki and made some reservations.

We had a meeting of the Study Abroad Fair.

It was fine.

November 15 is known as Shichigosan (七五三), which means seven five three. Those family which has children whose age are seven five three goes to the shrines to wish their happy healthy growth..

As a ritual of the 15th day of the month I visited two shrines, but I did not see any Shichigosan family today.

I walked to the station via nearby shrine and headed for Ningyocho to attend a seminar.

It was very interesting.

After that we went to have dinner at Aomori izakaya.

I came home at midnight.

I submitted the report document of business trip to the accounting section.

At night I watched two movies on TV.

I have been planning the trip to Izumo and Hiroshima. I hope to visit Oki this time. There are 4 islands. I need to collect information.

I was asked how to go to the shrine I went to on May 3, 2022. Unfortunately I did not publish the ebook about it yet nor there was no blog on that day. I do not know why.

It is taian (大安) today so that I enshrined the two new talisman I received yesterday.

There were lots of paperworks to do at office.

I started planning the next trip.

It was a rainy day.

I still feel tired and was wondering if I should go or not.

After all I walked to the station, took trains, and attended the once a month seminar.   

After that I went to visit Iseyama kotai jingu and Naritasan Yokohama branch.

I went to see my friend to receive two talisman of goddesses in Mie.

I came home by taxi which cost yen1000 though it was yen 700 the other day.

I should have used my car because the parking fee was also yen1000.

At night there was a webinar.

There were lots of things to do at office.

On my way home I went grocery shopping at two places.

To my glad my 182nd book is No.1 in Japan and Germany after USA.

   

I have been planning to go to Shimane and Hiroshima from the end of this month. It is very hard to find accommodations during that time. I hope I can find the reasonable ones.

It was fine but cold.

It seems I've got a cold.

 

On my way home I went to a gas station to fill up the car. Every Tuesday they have a campaign. I got a box of Pretz of mentaiko taste because November 11 is the Day of Pretz.

To my glad my 182nd e−book has been No.1 in the USA.This may be the first time that the ebook became No.1 in the USA before it became No.1 in Japan.

I've got a call about the new event.

It was fine.

In the morning I cleaned and arranged the inhouse shrine.

I ordered the rental Wifi for my trip abroad for the first time.

I took one hour off to make sure to be at home to see the delivery company which would come to pick up my suitcase between 6 PM and 9 PM.

After all they came after 7PM.

But I am glad that I took an hour off to see the beautiful sunset at Tateishi.

I went shopping on my way home.

It was fine.

Today is ritto (立冬), one of 24 sekki (二十四節気), 24 solar terms. 　

Last one was soko (霜降) on October 23 and the next one is shosetsu (小雪) on November 22.

I went to the office after a week.

I saw the fireworks and a big moon on my way home.

I received the suitcase tonight.

I cooked cherry blossom rice which was beautiful color and delicious.

It was fine.

I arrived at Inchon around 8AM. Transit was rather difficult. I stayed at the lounge for a few hours.

I left Inchon at 13:25. I watched a Japanese movie. I saw the beautiful scenery of Mt.Fuji and sunset.

I arrived at Narita around 16:00.

To my surprise I happened to see my friend at the turntable. She was also from Inchon.

After returning Global Wifi and sending a suitcase, I took trains and taxi and came home around 21:00.

It was a nice business trip.

It was fine but rained at night.

November 3 is a national holiday called Bunka no hi, Culture Day.

There was the biggest and the main event of this trip today.

I had chances to talk with the students who are interested in studying abroad.

At night there was a dinner party and I enjoyed eating and talking.

I was surprised to know that my friend from Expo 2005 is also in Tashkent now.

It was cloudy and fine.

After breakfast I changed to Kimono and headed for Kyoto station to attend Mr. Fujimoto's tour to Hieizan.

There were 88 people, and I saw some people after a long time.

I have been there before, but we visited the places we have not visited before.

After coming back 8 of us went to have dinner.

At night I attended the zoom event.

It was fine.

I got up around noon. I noticed how tired I was.

There was a reunion of university. But I did not attend and stayed at home all day long.

There was something wrong with the IH  cooking heater. I ordered the repair but it would be on November 20. I have to deal without it for two weeks. What shall we eat for two weeks? It happened two years ago. So I think I can.

I made a reservation for the luncheon on November 22.

It was find but cold.

 

After breakfast I went to the nearby market and exchanged $20. I bought something at the supermarket. 

After checking out the hotel I headed for Prov Center for lunch. 

I walked along the river and visited the Japanese Garden.

I went to Amir Timor Square and went back to the hotel to get something.

I went to Chorsu Bazaar for shopping.

I came back to the hotel around 7 PM and headed for the airport. There were so many people and I could not take the window side.

We left Tashkent at 22:30.

It was a cold rainy day.

After having breakfast we left the hotel around 8 AM, visited 3 universitiies, had lunch, visited another university, and came back to the hotel around 5 PM.

 

I said good bye to other participants who went to the next destination at 6 PM.

My friend came to see me at the hotel around 7 PM and we went to have dinner.To my surprise she was from the same university as one of the participants of this Japan Education Fair.

What is more she had the same shoulder back of different color I had. What a coincidence!

I went to see her off at a subway station and came back to the hotel around 9 PM.

It was fine.

 

I woke up early.  

After breakfast I checked out the hotel and we started the sightseeing tour at 10 AM.

We visited Guri Amir, Shah−i−Zinda, Siyab Bazaar, Bibi−Xomim Masjidi, and Maydoni 

Registon.

They were very beautiful.

We had a square lunch before the Registon.

We took a train at 16:57 and arrived at Tashkent at 19:17 and came back to the hotel around 20:00.

We had dinner at a hotel restaurant.

It was a nice day.

A new month has started.

November is Juichigatsu (11月 or 十一月) or Shimotsuki (霜月), frost month.

There are only two month left.

I got up early and had a quick breakfast and left the hotel at 7 AM to get on a train bound for Samarquand at 8 AM.

Train station is big and beautiful. There were snack and coffee service.

We arrived at 10:25 and headed for the hotel to have orientation and lunch which was volumy.

After that we headed for the venue to attend Japan Education Fair. It was successful.

After coming back to the hotel 11 of us went to have dinner. It was very nice and rather cheap.

After coming back to the hotel two of us went to see the night view of the Registan which was very beautiful.

It was a nice day.

After having breakfast I checked out the hotel, took a shuttle bus at 8:20 and arrived at the airport around 8:40.

I picked up the Global Wifi and my suitcase.

There was a long line for checking in. I used the lounge for a short time.

Our flight delayed about half an hour.

There were drink and snack, lunch, light meal services.

I watched some movies in foreign languages.

We arrived at Tashkent after 9 hours flight.

We came to the hotel by bus and checked in.

Four of us went to have dinner at the nearby restaurant.

It was a long day.

I walked to the station and took a train to Takaracho and walked to the venue to attend a meeting.

After that we went to see a branch office which opened recently.

There was a dinner party at night.

After that I went to Narita Airport to stay at the hotel nearby to get on the flight tomorrow morning.

Softbank became the 12th champion after 5 years.

It was cloudy and fine.

After coming home I prepared for the trips.

Tomorrow I have a meeting in the afternoon in Tokyo and we have a dinner party at night.

After that I go to Narita Airport for the flight of the day after tomorrow.

This will be the second business trip abroad this year.

At night I had the 50th Bilingual Fortune Sharing Tea Party. There were two sessions today.

It was fine, but partially rained.

I got up early and left the guest house around 7AM and walked to Godaido.

Next I went to Ojima where I could not visit last time. There were so many stone monuments.

After that my friends and I took the sight seeing boat at 9AM. Original price was yen1500 but they had a campaign for yen 1000 and I booked. There was a special discount by Website order and it was yen 900.

The second floor was the Green seat and cost yen 600.

Matsushima is known as one of the three most beautiful sites in Japan and the scenery from the boat was very nice. It lasted for 50 minutes.

After that I went back to the guest house to pick up the carry case and headed for the station to go to Iwanuma to visit two shrines.

Today is the day of Tsuchinotomi which happens every 60 days and it is related to Benten goddess. The first shrine is Kanahebisui jinja which enshrines Benten Goddess and there were so many people waiting for the special charm and red stamps.

We went to Takekoma shrine next. It is one of the three biggest Inari jinja. It's been a while since I went there last.

After that I came back to Sendai and took a long distance bus to Shinjuku at 15:50.

We arrived at Shinjuku around 21:30 after stopping at two service areas, and went shopping.

I came home at midnight.

It was a nice trip.

It was a rainy day.

The morning ceremony started around 6:10AM which was earlier than usual and lasted for an hour.

After that we had breakfast and enjoyed talking for an hour or so.

We checked out at 10AM and visited the shrines in the precinct for an hour. 

From 11AM special performance of sword dance was dedicated.

From 12 PM Great Goma Prayer Ceremony and Fire Festival began. It was very special.

We took the last ferry at 14:45 to Onagawa and took trains to Matsushima kaigan.

We had Beef tongue dinner.

It was a nice day.

It was cloudy, fine, and rain.

I arrived at Sendai around 5:10AM.

I went to Shiogama to visit three shines and headed for Onagawa to meet friends and we took a ferry to go to Kinkasan.

This is the fourth year to come here.

Five of us climbed up to the top of mountain of 444.9m.

We took a bath and had dinner. We are surprised to see the performance.

After dinner we enjoyed talking and eating and drinking.

It was a cold rainy day.

I published the 181st e-book about my trip to Nara in September.

I was going to publish this book earlier but could not.

I had a final meeting for the trip abroad next week.

On my way home I went to a shop to buy a birthday present for my friend.

After having supper Ieft home around 21:05 and walked to the station and took trains  for Shinjuku.

I took a night bus for Sendai.

It was cloudy and cold.

Mt.Fuji was coverf with snow for the first time this winter.

It is 21days later than usual, and 15 days earlier than last year.

I stayed and worked at home all day long.

I read an ebook about Uzbekistan where I will visit from next week.

It was a cold rainy day like winter. So we used the heater at office.

After work I went grocery shopping after a long time and bought too much.

After that I went to find a present for my friend at five stores  but could not buy anything.

My friend sent me a webinar link and I realized almost ending time and joined. The main speaker was 72 years old lady. She is successful and said with money women could be beautiful. 

I have watched a TVprogram of Gaza.

It was a cold day like winter.

The 104th prime minister is the first female in history.

The new cabinet started.

It is the new moon today.It is a good time to think and write goals.

At night there was a zoom gatherIng.

I was going to make a book, but couln't.

It was rainy and cloudy.

There was an evacuation training in the afternoon. We felt relieved that it stopped raining by that time.

There was a big news related to politics in Japan today. And the first lady prime minister will be born tomorrow.

There was time in the night but I wasted time. 

 

I fell asleep while watching TV. When I awoke, it was a good timing to see another program.

It was cloudy and rain.  

I stayed at home all day long.

 

I had 6 zoom meetings with unversity students. Five of them are exchange students or scholarship students studying at graduate school from abroad and one of them was Japanese.

Five of them were women.

It was interesting to know each other's experiences.

In the evening I had another meeting.

At night I had another zoom gathering.

Besides these I planned for the trip this weekend.

It was fine and warm.

I cleared the kimono, ironed and packed for two travels.

In the afternoon my ex-colleague and I went to have lunch at a seaside cafe. There are some plenty tables and people were waiting, but we had to wait. While waiting we walked the beach. I found some walnuts which reminded me of Delray Beach walking.

We seldom had a chance to talk at office so that we enjoyed talking.

After having lunch we went to have sweets.

At night I watched some TV programs.

It was fine and warm outside.

I saw the beautiful scenery of Mt.Fuji and white long clouds above sea like a snake on my way to work. 

Unfortunately I left the smartphone behind at home and I could not take pictures nor checked emails.

Goods I sent to Uzbekistan arrived there but they need time and money for custom clearance.

Restaurant we wished to visit tomorrow will be closed and we are still looking for another.

It was fine but cool.  

There were lots of things to do at office after 5 days.

At lunch time I called a restaurant to book Afternoon Tea but unfortunately I could not.

I got two postcards from myself which I posted on the last day from both post office at the gate.

I must start preparing for the next event.

It was fine and hot.

I checked out the hotel and left the carry case there and headed for Kyoto.

I was going to see the Kyoto National Museum to see a special exhibition, however I knew it was closed due to the transferred holiday when I got there.

I visited the Sanjusangendo Temple nearby.It's been a long time since I visited there last. Therefore my memory was somehow different from what they are.

After that I visited Matsui Brewery where I was recommended yesterday.

There were many foreigners tasting sake.

I walked along the Kamo river and got a bus to Kyoto station. I walked around the station and took pictures and had dinner.

 

I took trains back to the hotel and picked up the carry case and took a train to the bus stop for the night bus leaving at 20:45 from Namba.

We stopped at Umeda first. Before the second bus stop we had a brief stop at Kyo tanabe.

When we picked up the passenger at Kyoto, it was heavily raining.

After stopping at Suzuka, Kakegawa, and Ebina, we came back to Yokohama around 5:30AM.

 It was still raining.

 

I came home around 7AM, washed clothings, and started working from 8:45AM as usual.

At lunch time it was fine and I went to the nearby shrine as a ritual of the 15th day, post office to transfer money and supermaket to buy some foods. 

After work I cooked oden which is a popular winter food.

It was fine and hot.

It was the last day of EXPO 2025 and the last day of three day weekend.

I went to EXPO. This was the 10th visit.

Different from yesterday it took one hour to enter.

I could visit some pavilions, send two postcards from both gate post office, watch fountain shows, fireworks, drone shows, and see my friend.

I walked and walked and got tired.

I came back to the hotel after midnight.

It was cloudy, fine, rain and fine. 

Today is the 33rd Anniversary of Closing EXPO 92.

I still remember the day very well. It was a  really special day.

Today I got up earlier than my schedule.

I decided to have breakfast.

I went to EXPO2025. My reservation was 10AM. To my surprise I could enter before 10AM.

There are still some pavilions to visit.

I hope to visit there tomorrow.

It was slightly raining on my way to Osaka.

I arrived at Namba at 7:50AM and headed for the hotel to leave the carry case. To my lucky I could check in.

I was wondering where to go, but my friend became free earlier and we decided to see soon and I headed for Okamachi.

We went to the Harada Shrine and a Jewery shop which has a live tree inside and we went to cafe and had morning set. I helped him to open an account.

We said good bye and I went to the National Museum of Ethnology.

I was going to go to EXPO too.But I stayed there until 5 PM, and decided to eat dinner and come back to the hotel.

It was fine.

I had a fever but there were lots of things to do, so I went to work.

After coming home, I had supper and left home around 21:14 and walked to the station.

 

I arrived at Yokohama around 22:30. 

 

I took a night bus to Osaka at 23:15.

I stayed and worked at home.

There was the announcement of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry. Prof. Susumu Kitagawa of Kyoto University got the prize. This is the second prize this year. Congratulations!

It was fine during daytime but started raining in the evening.

There was a big event and we went to meet the participants at the station. I was surprised to see a  new shop opened and there was another under construction too.

At office I have been trying to send some goods abroad but it is rather difficult and very expensive.

Today is one of the luckiest calendar days in October: Tenshabi(天赦日), Ichiryu manbaibip(一粒万倍日), and Mangetsu(満月).

Tenshabi is the day when the heaven forgives everything.

Ichiryu manbaibi is the day when one grain becomes 10000 times.

Mangetsu is the full moon.

I got sponge cake from my colleague who went back to her home town in Nagasaki as souvenir.

I got a museum exhibition ticket in Osaka, so I am looking forward to visiting there this weekend.

I stayed at home all day long.

After dinner I have been looking for the transportation and accommodation for the trip to Osaka next week.They are very expensive.

I wore Kimono and went to Ueno to see Van Gogh's Home: The Van Gogh Museum.

He produced 2000 works in 10 years.

After that I visited Bentendo. Lotus in the ponds were grown big.

After that I headed for Yushima to have afternoon tea with American friends. We enjoyed the reunion after 1 year and 7 months.

We visited the Yushima tenjin together and said good bye.

I was going to see another friend later but she lost the wallet and we gave up getting together.

It was fine and very hot like summer again.

There was one of the most important events at work, and we had a very busy day.

There were some first trials this time.

After the reception we had a chance to taste leftovers and some were very delicious, but there was something very exotic.

After four days off there were lots of work at office and I overworked for an hour.

It's been 100 years since the broadacasting started.

This year corresponds Showa 100 though it is Reiwa 7 now.

The NHK's morning drama will end this week and new one starts next week.It seems interesting.

After stopping at 3 Service Areas, I arrived at Yokohama around 7:30 AM.

I took a train and came back home before 9 AM.

After coming back home, I took a shower and washed the clothing and read 4 days newspaper and so on.

I made the 179th ebook.

Though I attended a webinar at night I fell asleep without realizing.

It was fine, but a bit cool today.

It is a national holiday called Shubun no hi (秋分の日), Autumnal Equinox Day. It is the day both daytime and nighttime are equal.

Shubun is one of the 24 solar terms.  Last one was Hakuro (白露) on September 7, and the next one is Kanro (寒露) on October 8.

I checked out the hotel and walked around the Nara Park with my friend.

After that we had branch and said good bye. 

I went back to the hotel, picked up the carry case, and headed for Namba.

After leaving the carry case at the coin operated l headed for the 8th EXPO.

I could not make any reservation this time.

My goals were to post postcards to get special stamps at both gates post office, to see some pavilions by waiting, and to see the Drone show at night.

I stood in line to get into the USA and Japan and saw them finally.

I watched the show at the East Gate.

I went back to Namba and picked up the carry case and got on the night bus at 22:55.

It was a nice day.

It was fine.

I got up early to go to Yamato Yagi to attend the four shrines visiting tour at 8:45.

There were 6 participants. There was one more shrine I wanted to go and I asked the organizer to coordinate.To my lucky everyone agreed if there is no additional cost.

We visited Niukawa kami jinja nakasha first. We were invited to the inside of the worship hall. And we were given a charm.

We walked to the waterfalls and threw the dragon ball there.

I was very moved.

Next we visited the Niukawa kami jinja kami sha.

We had lunch and visited the roadside station.

We visited the Yoshino jingu where was not included originally.

We visited the Niukawa kami jinja shimosha next where we were lucky to listen to the talk of the chief priest.

Finally we went to Tenkawa dai benzaitensha shrine. It's been about 9 month since I visited there last.

It was a really nice tour.

After coming back to Nara my fiend and I had dinner with my another friend.

We enjoyed eating and talking.

It was a very nice day.

I arrived at Kyoto around 6AM after stopping at three service areas.

After leaving the carry case I headed for Nagahama to take the Biwako cruise.

I was lucky to go to Chikubujima but had to change the route to come back.

It's been 1 year and 4 months since I went there last.

After that I went to Kameoka to visit Omoto Gallery to see Yowan Cups made by Deguchi Onisaburo.

On my way to come back I took a trolley trail from Kameoka to Kyoto.

After having dinner I came to Nara to stay.

It was a nice day.

It was cool in the morning. 

I was rather busy at this time of the year and I overworked for two hours.

At lunch time five of us went out to have a small farewell luncheon at a Dog run restaurant. This was the first time for most of us to go there.

After coming home I had a quick supper and walked to the station and headed for Yokohama.

I am taking a night bus bound for Kansai.

I made a seservation of the ferry for the next month.

  

I also called the newspaper delivery company to keep during my trip and delivery them when I came back.

I was very busy at work and overworked for three hours. I was the last person to leave the office for the first time tonight.

I was very surprised to hear that one of the colleagues will leave the office at  the end of this month and September 22 will be the last day. We will have a faretwell luncheon on Friday with a few members.

It was cloudy and slightly rainy.

My job is in one of the busiest seasons and I overworked a little bit.

At night I watched a program on TV which dealt with the aged people. They say there are five persons who are living through 5 Japanese era (Meiji,Taisho,Showa,Heisei, and Reiwa). One of them is the oldest woman in Japan who was a doctor. She is 114 years old. Her next goal is to be the oldest in the world.

At night I had once a month zoom gathering.

Saddest news of today was Robert Redford's passing at the age of 89.

Today is a national holiday called Keiro no hi, Respect for the Aged Day.

According to the recent newspaper, there are 99,763 people who are over 100 years old in Japan which is the most in history for consective 55 years. About 88% of them are women. The oldest person is 114 years old woman living in Nara.

I wore kimono and visited the nearby shrine as a ritual of the 15th of the day.

To my glad my 178th ebook has been No.1 in Japan.

I went to Otsuka to see the Japanese Dance event from 13:00 to 16:45.

 

After that 7 of us went to have dinner and 4 of us had tea.

I came home around 10:40PM.

It seems to have rained here.

I got up early to get on the 5:46 train to go to Shinjuku to attend a bus tour at 7:45.

Destination was Yamanashi to eat Shine Muscat as much as we want and pack Shingenmochi as many as possible.

Since it is the middle of three day weekend the traffic jam were heavy for both to go and come back.

There were three places to visit besides lunch.

After coming back to Shinjuku, I ate supper and headed for Shinagawa.There was an accident and I had to use JR trains.

I could come home before midnight.

In the morning I prepared for Kimono. 

In the afternoon I went to see my friend after a long time. I was surprised to see the cost of the parking lot which was not introduced until last year or so.

After that I went grocery shopping.

I walked to the station and took trains to Meguro. The main reason was to see the 2025 Luna Flora Exhibitions with friends.

Two of us went to Ginza to see another art exhibition.

After saying good bye to her I headed for Yokohama to attend a seminar.

After that I visited Iseyama kotai jingu and Naritasan Yokohama Branch.

After coming home and having dinner I went to see the festival of the nearby shrine.

It is the time of the annual festival of the nearby shrine.

I went there for the preparation at 8 AM. It took longer than last year.

After the ceremony I followed the portable shrine.

Someone got sick and we called an  ambulance.

I was going to see a friend, but it was canceled by the unexpected reason.

The typhoon No.15 hit Japan. It rained heavily with thunders.

After it passed it became fine.

Bus stopped the service in the afternoon. Therefore some colleagues had to call a taxi.

I came home earlier because of the txphoon.

On my way home I went to grocery shopping.

From tonight I started eating the new brand rice. Since last year around this time we could not buy rice for a long time. Price of rice became about double.It is still expensive. New season of new rice will start soon.

I hope we can eat rice always at the reasonable price.

After one day off there were many paper works to do at office than usual.

A new month has started.

September is kugatsu  (9月 or 九月) or nagatsuki (長月) in Japanese. 

Two thirds of 2025 has passed. 

How fast it is!

I took a day off and have started my trip since last night. It was an overnight trip by boat. We left Takeshiba at 11 PM and arrived at Oshima at 6 AM.

There was a bus at the terminal, my friend I took a bus to the Oshima Kanko Hotel. We left the luggage at the hotel and climbed up the Mt. Mihara. We visited the shrine and walked around the top of the mountain and came back to the hotel.It was three hours hiking. 

When we came back, the time of public hot spring was over. So we called the taxi and went to the terminal and ate lunch and took a bath.

We left Oshima at 14:30 and came back to Takeshiba at 19:00.

It was a nice trip.

It was fine and hot.

I got up early and walked to the station to get on the 7:03 train and went to Hacchobori.

There was one day seminar from 9AM to 6PM. It was the fourth time to attend this series. It was very interesting.

After that 10 people went to have dinner.

After that I went to Takeshiba to attend a mystery ticket tour which until I buy the ticket I do not know the destination. My destination became Oshima, Big Island.

It's been a long time since I went there last time.

It was fine and hot.

After brunch I walked to the station and headed for Shin Matsuda to attend a movie "In Between" watching event followed by the director's talk. I attended a workshop of Easy Japanese too.I am glad to see my ex−colleague.

After that I went to Kitasenju to see the 33rd World Peace Art Exhibition 2025.

I went to Asakusa to see the Samba Carnival but it was already over. So I ate dinner and came home.

On my way home I attended two zoom event.

On my way home I went to the shop I bought the electric fan the other day to bring the broken one.

I attended the online event of Happy Attracting Fes Day 4.

Present campaign of the 176th ebook was over. To my glad it became No.1 in Germany and Japan. I wonder why there were no reviews appeared though my friend said she wrote.

I stayed and worked at home.

Good things of remote work are to save time of commuting, to be able to receive delivery, and to save money for lunch.

On my way home I went grocery shopping.Rice is still expensive. About the double of last year.

In the morning I received Pione and Peach as a return gift of Condolence money for my uncle.

After lunch I walked to the station and  headed for Hinodecho to attend once a month seminar.

After that I visited the shrines and temples.

I went to the China town to have dinner.

I wore Kimono and went to the station by car.

I went to Shibuya first to see the photo exhibition.

After that I went to Ebisu to have a luncheon. There were 7 participants, and four of them left earlier to prepare for the event. Three of us enjoyed chatting and stayed longer.

After saying good by to them I headed for Ueno to see the special exhibition "Ooku." Since it is Saturday it opens until 20:00. I enjoyed other exhibition too.

I came home around 22:30.

I walked 19,137 steps.

At night I had a zoom session.To my lucky she combined tonight and tomorrow night's session.It was very interesting.I thought it was free, but it was not in a sense. But I enjoyed the session it was OK.

I booked a mystery ticket for my friend at lunch time. It must be fun. We won't know our destination until we buy the ticket on the day.

There was an opportunity to learn about vegetarian. 

From the working experience of international programs I knew somehow about the food restriction because of religous reasons. 

There are 9 levels of vegetarian. 

They are Vegan, Lacto-Vegetarian, Ovo-Vegetarian, Lacto-Ovo Vegetarian, Pescatarian, Flexitarian, Oriental Vegetarian, Raw Foodist, and Fruitarian.

Fruitarian is the most strict one that only eat fruits and nuts.

I did not know they do not eat honey.

I am glad that I can eat anything without restrictions

On my way home I went to fill up my car.　Gasoline price seemed to have dropped since last time.

Every Tuesday if you fill more than 15L you get a small present.

I chose a pet bottle of straight tea. Since I happened to see the video of how to make tea jelly by tea of pet bottle, I tried to make it. But the jelly didn't set. Too early or too little gelatin?

I watched the last episode of the drama. It was rather good. I have seen the movie or drama of the same title before, but I didn't remember the contents. I only remember of the main character.

Today is the first day of working.There were many souvenirs. I distributed some souvenirs too.

Cafeteria will be closed until Wednesday. So I brought lunch after cooking the brown rice.

After work I went to grocery shopping. The discount coupon has been changed. So I asked. They introduced me the new application. To my surprise I got about 10% off.

It was fine and hot.

Today is my father's10th death anniversary.

I got up early, wore Kimono, and headed for Kanda myojin shrine to attend the seminar of the history of shrines

. I went there via Nihonbashi and Suehirocho because it seemed the walking distance was the shortest.

To my surprise it was the back lane of the Shrine.

Opening time was 10:30 and I arrived there around 10:30  and I arrived around that time. There werd 88 participants and about half of them were already there.

There were lectures, dinner, special visit. and lectures between 10:30 and18:00.

I came back home around 20:40.

I had a zoom session from 9AM to 10AM.

I walked to the station and headed for Nakameguro to attend a Publication  Memorial Lecture of my teacher of the Ability Garden Era.It was fun.

After that I headed for KAAT, Kanagawa Art Theater to see the Opera. There were two parts. The first part was live performance, and the second part was a movie. It was a 

unique experience.

After that my friend and I had dinner.

I stayed at home all day long.

Since I felt pains here and there I decided to stay home.

Today is the anniversary of the end of World War II. It's been 80 years.

At night I watched an old Italian movie.

It was fine and hot.

I checked out the hotel before 9AM and headed for Owari ichinomiya to visit the Masumida jinja shrine where I have wanted to visit for a long time.

After that I went to Bentenjima of Lake Hamana where also I have wanted to visit for a long time.

After one hour walk I took trains back home via Hamamatsu, Atami, Yokosuka, Zushi, Kurihama and changed a train there.

I came back home by taxi before 22:30.

It was a nic summer vacation trip.

It was fine and hot. 

After having breakfast I listened to the archive lecture of Day 4 which I missed the other day.

I left the hotel around 11:30 and headed for EXPO. I could not make any reservation again.But I enjoyed some exhibitions and shows.

However, on my way back to the hotel, trains stopped and we had to wait for more than two hours at the exit.

I managed to come back hotel around 1:30AM.

It was fine but rained heavily for a while.

I checked out the hotel and left the baggage there and headed for the Nara National Museum to see the special exhibition of Voyage around the World: Heritage of Beauty and Wonder and Special Display The Guardians of the Kinpusenji Temple Gate Kinpusenji Temple, Nara.

After that I visited the Kasugataisha shrine.

After having tea I went back to the hotel to pick up the baggage and headed for Osaka. First I checked in the hotel and headed for the EXPO site. I entered at 18:30 and visited some pavilions. I was going to see the fireworks but it started while I was waiting for the pavilion and could not.I left the site around 21:30 but it took about one hour to get on the train.

While I was waiting I attended a zoom gathering.

It was a long day.

It is a national holiday called Day of Mountain.

I visited the 48 waterfalls in Nara by using a special discount ticket issued by Kintetsu Railway.

I was very fortunate because weather was fine and it started raining when I came back to the shop at the entrance.

After coming back to the hotel I went out for dinner with a Facebook friend and her friend.

It was another good day.

I got up early and made two rice balls and walked to the station.

It was cloudy when I was at home but started raining when I headed for the station.

I went to the JR Kurihama station and bought Seishun 18 tickets for 5 days for yen12050.

I took trains from Kurihama to Okazaki via Ofuna, Atami, Hamamatsu, and Toyohashi. I got together with cousins and relative and visited a shrine and a temple. I could see a waterfalls too.

We had dinner and visited the relatives' house, and I met another relative.

After that my cousin took me to Okazaki and I headed for Nara via Ogaki, Maibara, and Kyoto. 

I checked in the hotel at midnight.

I was glad to have a reunion.

Today is the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Memorial Day.

There was a ceremony in the morning. 

I attended a webinar, had lunch, and  went to the Soleil park in Yokosuka to see sunflowers. 

 

I planned and prepared for the trip tomorrow.

August 8 is the day Lion's gate opens widest.

At night I attended a zoom session about the Moon reading.

I watched a Japanese movie of time slipper to the time of Japanese Special Attack Unit on TV which I saw at the theater two years ago.

From tomorrow my summer vacation starts.

残暑お見舞申し上げます

Today is risshu (立秋), one of nijushisekki (二十四節気), 24 solar terms. Last one was taisho (大暑) on July 22 and the next one is shosho (処暑) on August 23.

Risshu literally means stand fall, it is the first day of fall. However it's been very hot these days.

From today greeting became "Zanrsho omimai moshiagemasu(残暑お見舞い申し上げます).''

Today I stayed and worked at home.  

After supper I walked to the Miura kaigan beach to see the fireworks festival tonight. It lasted for 30 minutes. The final 5 minutes were so nice.

It's been 80 years since the Atomic Bomb was dropped in Hiroshima.

They say there are representatives from 120 countries and regions which is the most in history attending the ceremony this year.

The name list of 349246 people who died from the Atomic Bomb, which was added 4940 people since last year, was dedicated.

The survivors of average age is getting older and older. And it is getting harder and harder to hear their true voice.

It was fine and hot.

It's been very hot these days, and every day it is making a record of more than 40 degrees centigrade.Unbelievable isn't it?

I have been arranging the trip to Kansai, and booked the hotels. Since some schedules changed I canceled a hotel and booked another hotel.

I am also arranging a luncheon too.

At night I attended a zoom seminar. It is the Day 1 of 5 days lectures.

To my glad mc 174th ebook became No.1 in Japan.

It was fine and hot.

I had a chance to talk with a colleague who got sick recently. I felt importance of health and felt like traveling wherever I want to visit while I am fine.

I got a notification from the travel company that the tour I applied for next Sunday was canceled because the number of minimum participants was not reached. What a pity!

There was another bad news. Road to Akame shijuhachi taki waterfalls where I was going to visit is closed because of fallen trees. I hope it will be fine soon.

I may need to think of other plans.

I stayed at home all day long.

I attended three webinars, in the morning, in the afternoon, in the night.

I have been planning the trip next week. It is very difficult to coordinate a group tour.

However one thing is decided, other decisions are made accordingly.

I walked to the station and took a train to Sugita to have my hair cut and permed.

After having lunch I went to Yokosuka to shop and headed for Yokosuka Museum of Art to see two exhibitions.

Actually there were four exhibitions.

After that I walked to Kannonzaki. Unfortunately the lighthouse was already closed. But I am glad to walk around.

2025.8.1

A new month has started.

August is hachigatsu (8月、八月) or Hazuki (葉月) in Japan.

I changed plants, rice, salt, water of the in-house shrine and 5 mounted salt and visited the nearby shrine on my way to work as a ritual of the first day of the month. 

It was cloudy and slightly rain but to my glad I saw the rainbow this morning.

I felt it auspicious of the new month.

In the evening I saw the sunset.

At night it is windy due to the typhoon.

I received a box of mail order goods I ordered recently.

I tried to find a restaurant for luncheon this month.

Since today is the day of Tiger I transferred the participant's fee for the event of this month.

It was fine and hot.

I stayed and worked at home all day long.

There are something I do on the last day of the month.

One of them is to make a 20 page album by Nohana.

The other is to hold a bilingual fortune sharing tea party. It usually starts at 21:00 or 21:30. Today one of the members was very busy so that we started at 18:00.

 At 21:00 another busy person appeared and said that he had only 10 minutes.

Another person joined from 21:30.

After that another friend joined.

In total I could talk with four peple and enjoyed to wrap up July .

It was fun.

In the morning alarm of every staff's smartphone suddenly sounded. There was a big earthquake happened in Kamchatka Peninsula.

Tsunami alart was issued.

All  NHK TV programs were turned into news of Tsunami.

Alarm was not dissolved and we were advised to leave after 16:30

There were two zoom gatherings at night.

It was fine and hot.

There are two pending things at work.

I got a message to have a reunion proposal from high school friends. Usually it has been my role and I have chosen the date and place for the past few times. I was surprised to see the choices of dates because they chose two weekdays and a weekend.

I knew one of them was not working. But the other must have been working. 

I believe another is also working. 

I do not know whey they chose the  weekday.

I have been waiting for my other friends' replies for other occasions. Depends on the number cost and reservation vary. I hope to receive the replies to fix the schedules as soon as possible.

It was fine and hot,

I may come to business trip abroad in November. So I started to check the flight. There were only two direct flights in a week so l need to think of the transit route. Korea or China.

 

If we use the direct flights we can attend the full program which is coordinated everything.

So I hope to take the direct flights.

But there is a bugdet.

Let's see what will happen.

I stayed at home all day long.

I received two deliveries.

I read two books of the same writer.One was I bought yesterday, the other I bought two years ago and have not read yet. It's been a while since I read paper books because I read more ebooks than paper books these days.

I attended two zoom events, one in the afternoon, the other at night.I sent invitation emails to some people about the latter one but nobody showed up.How disappointing!

It was fine,

I asked my brother to come home to pick up the condolence money for my uncle, and take me to the station.

I headed for Kamioooka to see a Japanese movie "National Treasure."

After that I went to a bookstore to buy my teacher"s book.

I went to Center North to have crab dinner with my friend.It was delicious.  

We attended a zoom meeting and enjoyed trying Heartgram.

I got some presents.

After work I went to a supermarket to buy the envelope for funeral offering and withdrew money.

Today is the new moon when is a good time to make 2 to 10  wishes.

I started planning for the summer vacation.

It was fine and hot.

I stayed and worked at home all day long.

Today is one of the luckiest days in this year, which is a combination of Ichiryumanbaibi(一粒万倍日), Taian(大安), and Tenshabi (天赦日).Ichryumambaibi is when one grain becomes 10000 times. Taian is a good day for everything. Tenshabi is the day when the heaven forgives everything and it only happens several times in a year.

How was your day?

In August we have about a week off and I feel like visiting Kansai. There are many places I want to visit and it is very difficult to go by public transportation. So I am thinking how to go and where to go.

If I go there with somebody else, I need to cordinate the schedule. 

I am planning other schedules too and waiting for some replies. I wonder if they get my message or not.

It was fine and very hot, hotter than body temperature.

We have been worried about August.

There was a meeting with an auditor. This is the first time for me to talk with him. It was fun to hear about his research.

There were some opportunities tolk with professors last week. It is very interesting to listen to there specialties from the universe to Ocean and to molecure.

What a big world  we are living in!

There are so many objects to research and explore!

World is too big to live alone!

It was fine and hot.

Today is taisho (大暑), one of nijushisekki (二十四節気),24 solar terms.

Last one was shosho (小暑) on July 7 and the next one is risshu (立秋) on August  7.

Taisho literally means big hot.

It is the hottest season now.

It is extremely hot this summer.

At night there was an explanationery meeting about a cruise company. It seems to save  money to enjoy traveling.

I traveled around the world by tihe 44th Peace Boat Cruise from December 25, 2003 to March 31, 2004. It went westbound by south hemisphere.

Therefore I have wanted to travel around the world by a gorgeous boat through north hemisphere.

It is a national holiday called "Umi no hi (Marine Day)" and the last day of the three day weekend.

There was a monthly seminar in Yokohama.

After that I visited the Iseyama Kotai Jingu shrine and Naritasan Yokohama branch temple..

It was fine and hot.

In the afternoon my brother came home after four months or so. I thought he would tell me his experience around the world by Asuka II but before that he brought a surprising news. He happened to call my uncle but knew that he passed away on June 30. RIP.

I went to vote after visiting the nearby shrine. When I went shopping after that I  happened to see him again there,

There was a zoom meeting for IWPG at 5pm and another from 8pm. There was a webinar at 9pm.

It was fine.

In the morning I received my suitcase I sent from the Haneda airport last night.

I watched a Japanese movie "A Samurai in  Time" which I recorded yesterday. It was released on August 17, 2024 and it was the 48th Japan Academy Film Prize for Picture of the Year 2025. How fast it was showing on TV!

I saw the beautiful sunset today.

The were three zoom events in the night.

It was cloudy.

I got up, took a shower, had breakfast, walked around the hotel, checked out the hotel, and met the counterparts.

We went to the train station, took KTX and subway to the Gimpo Airport.

After checking in I had lunch at Sky Hub Lounge.

I took a flight at 15:45 to Haneda. Here was meal.

To my glad I could see Mt.Fuji. We lande around 18:15.

After picking up the suitcase, I went to the delivery service to send it home.

I came home around 21:10.

Weather was not good, but I am glad to join this business trip.

2025.7.17

It was a rainy day.

I got up, took a shower, had breakfast, and left the hotel at 8:20 and headed for the venue of the Joint seminar.

It lasted for three hours and we headed for the restaurant for lunch.

Since it was raining so heavily that we changed the schedule of afternoon.

We had tea time at the 39th floor and went shopping.

After coming back to the hotel we went out for dinner.

After coming back my friend came to the hotel and we visited the headquarter of IWPG. I was glad to see those whom I have known through zoom meeting for a year.

I got many presents today.

It was a fruitful day.
