It was fine but very cold. Mt.Fuji looked so beautiful covered with snow.

There was a big news at lunch time. Former prime minister Yasuhiro Nakasone passed away at the age of 101 years old.

After work I went to Hamamachi to see my friend's art exhibtion. When I got there, his live painting performance was already over, but there was still narration with playing. I was lucky, wasn't I?

I met him in Seville, Spain in 1992 for the first time. Our birthdays are the same, May 8. He used to be an office worker, but changed his career about 7 years ago after surviving from stomach cancer. He is known as a dragon artist now.

Doing what you really like is very important.

It was a cold rainy day.

Today I read a book which I bought early this 

month at the  open ilecture. It was very interesting and encouraging. It dealt with many successful people who changed their lives at their late years.

It was slightly raining.

Usually I take lunch time from 12:45 but since I had an appointment from 13:00 I took from 12:00. To my surprise there were long waiting lines for paying at a covenience store.

In the evening I went to Yokohama to see a friend and enjoyed eating a cake set. And we went to Nigiwaiza (にぎわい座) to listen to rakugo (落語), comic story telling. I have been interested in going there for a long time, and finally time has come. What is more, I was invited. How lucky I am!

Main speaker is Lovehei (らぶ平). Ramune (らむ音), his pupil from Japanese Brazilian family,  talked the famous Jugemu (寿限無) in three languages. Furthermore she appeared on the stage by doing cartwheeling. Amazing, isn't it? 

After the show we had supper.

It was a nice evening.

It was cloudy and slightly rainy cold day.

There were many things to do at the office.

After work I went to Mita to attend a basic financial seminar for beginners. It was very informative and useful.

I finished reading "Happy Money" by Ken Honda.

It was cloudy but warm in the daytime and slightly rained in the evening.

There was an accident in the morning, and I had to change the train at Yokohama. It took more than 3 hours and a half to get to the office.

On my way back I dropped at Yokosukachuo to go to a bank. There is a big Christmas tree in front of the station.

It was cloudy.

I have had a back pain so that I canceled to attend one day seminar.

Besides going to grocery shopping I stayed at home.

Today's big news was the Pope Francisco's visit to Nagasaki and Hiroshima.It' been 38 years since the Pope came to Japan last.

It was a rainy day.

There were some appointments today but I.have had a back pain so that I decided to stay at home.

I cleared kimonos and watching some videos.

Today is a nationsl holiday called kinro kansha no hi (勤労感謝の日), Labour Thanksgiving Day. 

It used to be Niinamesai (新嘗祭) when we thank the harvest of the year and eat the new rice of the year.

2019.11.22

It was a cold rainy day.

Usually I eat lunch outside or buy something at the convenience stores and eat at the lounge. But when it is rainy, I use the dining hall.

Today I chose a bowl dish and miso soup, but miso doup was set from the beginning.

There was something wrong with the air conditioning in our office, and finally it was so cold that I asked to check and it was fixed.

In the evening there was the open campus event and I came home late.

It was a long day.

It was fine.

I went out for lunch at an Italian restaurant with a coworker whose previous work is the same as mine. Therefore the working period is different but we have some mutual coworkers.

I had a meeting in the afternoon.

It was fun to know coworker's background.

After work I dropped at Miurakaigan to go to banks and see my friend.

It was a long day.

2019.11.20

It was fine.

I went out for lunch with a coworker from 1 pm at a nearby restaurant. To our surprise it was so crowded that we had to wait for a while.

After work I went to Otori jinja shrine to visit Ni no yori market. It was so crowded that there was a long line to enter the shrine. The special red stamps called goshuin were sold out. They say they prepared about 600 pieces.

2019.11.19

I got up early to take a hot spring bath. Unfortunately open air bath was closed though.

After having a big breakfast we headed for the Miho shrine for the formal visit. It's been a while since I visited there last time.

After having lunch we had free time to walk around. 

On our way to the airport we could see the beautiful Angel's ladder and sunset.

The airplane was delayed for 30 minutes when leaving but arrived 15 minutes late or so.

It was a nice tour.

 

2019.11.18

It was a rainy day.

I left Hiroshima for Izumo by bus. It took three hours and 20 minutes or so. 

I ate lunch at a station cafe.

Our meeting time was 13:00 and headed for the hotel. 

First we had a lecture. 

Next I changed to  kimono.

Third we went to Izumo taisha for the formal visit.

It was very nice.

After coming back we had dinner listening to the lecture.

There is a hot bath with an open air bath.

It was a nice day.

2019.11.17

I arrived at Hiroshima around 8 am after stopping three times. However I was sleeping and I did not notice about the second stop. At the third stop I bought rice balls for breakfast.

After arriving at Hiroshima I went to the hotel to leave my suitcase.

There was a Christmas tree at the station. I took a train to Miyajima. It's been a year and a half since I went there last.

I went to Miyajima by train and ferry and enjoyed a full day there. I went up to Mt. Misen (弥山). Leaves wete so beautiful in red and yellow.

After coming back, I had dinner with my aunt.

It was a nice day.

It was fine.

I was rather busy today.

First I went to Sugita to buy something.

Next I went to Mita to attend the Sushi luncheon. This was the fourth time for me to attend this event. 

Third I went to Meguro to have Afternoon Tea with my friend.

Now I am on a bus to go to Hiroshima. It will stop three times before arriving at 8 am tomorrow morning.It is 12 hours drive.

It was a beautiful day.

November 15 is known as shichigosan (七五三), seven-five-three. Families who have daughters at the age of three and seven and sons at the age of three and five visit shrines to wish their children's healthy growth.

I took a half day off to attend the Hie shrine visiting tour organized by the Power Spot Laboratory. It started around 10:30 and lasted until 12:45 or so. Five power spot Meisters explained the history of the shrine for 20 minutes each. It was the first time for me to visit there  and I learned many things. 

There were many families with children dressed up the beautiful kimono there.

After that I headed for the Chinese restaurant near my office to attend the welcome luncheon. Three of us were welcomed.

In the afternoon stationaries I ordered the other day arrived.

After work I headed for Shinjuku to attend a seminar from 7 pm to 9:30 pm or so.

It was a long fruitful day.

It was cloudy in the morning but became fine.

Today and tomorrow there is a special important ceremony for the new Emperor's once in a life event called daijosai (大嘗祭) The details are secret. They say it cost yen 2,400,000,000. It was organized in the late 7th century. Between Muromachi era and Edo era about 220 years it was not practiced.

What a long history we have!

It was cloudy.

I walked to the station to drink at the dinner party tonight.

After work I went to Ebisu to attend the dinner party.

Foods were well prepared by the ingredients from Izumo but drinks were missing Japanese sake which was the only one fault.

Today I had a good news.

I passed the examination I took last Saturday. I became a certified REIKI healer and REIKI teacher. Congratulations!!

2019.11.12

I got up around 5 am this morning. I found the very beautiful red moon over the Mt. Fuji and I watched it set in Mt. Fuji which was very nice. 

It was fine and a very beautiful autumn day.

I had a meeting in the evening and it lasted until near 8:30 pm.

When I went out from the building, the full moon was shining over the building.

It was a very beautiful full moon night.

It was fine in the morning and Mt.Fuji looked so beautiful. The amount of snow seems doubled.

During the day time it looked like rained.

At night the moon was so beautiful.

After work I went to Mita to see a Japanese movie titled "Colors of Wind" which I can't find the relation with contents.

It was a mysterious movie dealing with Doppelganger and Dissociative Identity Disorder.

This was invited by Mr. Ueno.

It was another lucky day.

2019.11.10

It was fine.

I cleared two kimonos and prepared another two kimonos this morning.

I went to Mita to see a consultant for two hours. It was fun to know new things.

After that I went to Kimono-style Miya to practice to wear kimono in the afternoon. I tried three times in 90 minutes. I wish I could set my hair by myself.

My friend came and we went out for Vietnmese restaurant for dinner.

It was a nice day.

2019.11.9

It was a big day.

I went to Shinagawa to take an examination.

For the past half year I have tried hard to pass this examination. 

This morning I got a message from someone that assured me to pass it. I was glad to know there are people who care of what I am doing.

The exam was from 1 pm to 5 pm.

On my way back I dropped at Kurihama to shop. To my happy I found 3 female crabs which are now in season and bought them. I boiled them and ate one of them which was tasty.

I feel happy!

It was fine. 

Today is ritto (立冬), one of the 24 solar terms. The last one was soko (霜降) on Oct.24, and the next one is shosetsu (小雪) on Nov.22. Ritto literally means stand winter. It is the begining of winter.

Today is tori no ichi (酉の市). It is a festival held on the day of cock in November at the shrines related to birds. This is related to business and rakes decorated with good luck items are sold to gather fortunes.

This year there are two tori no ichi. First one is called ichi no tori (一の酉), and tbe second one is called ni no tori (二の酉) which will be held on Nov. 20.

It was fine.

I went out for lunch with colleagues from Australia and Hong Kong at a Japanese restaurant. None of us have been there. It was very interesting. For us Japanese it is as a matter of fact but for foreigners there are things hard to understand. I got an idea of new book series about tacit knowledge.

In the evening I attended a monthly meeting.

After that I went to have dinner with a friend. It was fun to listen to the stories of traveling.

It was fine.

I went to a branch office of city office to submit the document for social security.

At lunch time three of us went to have lunch to welcome the new staff. Since she is a vegetarian it is rather hard to find a proper restaurant. I asked them if they have a menu for vegetarian but they did not. However they prepared the special one for her. How kind they are!

It was fine.

A new staff joined our office.

It's been about a month since I started working here. And now I am teaching what I learned about a month ago. Time flies!

It was fine.

Today was a transferred holiday.

I went to the Kimono-Style Miya to have my hair set and dressed up. I was the first person to be there. So I became like a model to get dressed in front of dresers.

I went to Ishikawacho to attend an intermediate class for tour guides for foreign visitors.It started at 2 pm and lasted for two hours. It was free, informative and very useful to welcome foreign visitors next year for the Olympic and Paralympic, and so on.

After that I went back to Sakuragicho to attend a quasi wedding reception. There were many guests performing. 

After the party we did janken (paper, scissors, and stone) to decide the winner of the table. To my lucky I became the one and got the table flower.

How lucky I am!

It is a national holiday called Bunka no hi (h文化の日), Culture Day. It was used to be the Meiji Emperor's Birthday. Culture Chaters are awared at the imperial palace. To my surprise Man Nomura, kyogen performer who came to the movie event yesterday was also the one who received the charter.

It was fine.

There were three plans but I canceled two of them.

I went to Yokohama Pacifico to attend a lecture. At the recess I tried to analyze my tendency after answering 36 questions. It lasted from 1pm to 5pm.

My friend and I wernt out for dinner. I ate korean. foods.

2019.11.2

It was fine.

I wore kimono at home and went to Kimono-style Miya to have my hairset, makeup, dressed up, and pictures taken.

After thst I went to Nihonbashi to attend the 3D Chinese movie show with actor and director's stage greetings.  At the recess we had a chance to take pictures with them. And to my surprise I was asked to have interview for Shanghai TV news or something.

After the movies they interviewed me. While watching the movie, I thought of many things. I realized one thing which I have thought when I was a graduate school student. I did not know the importance of comparative literature at that time. But today I felt how important literatures and movies are to understand the way of living and thinking. Maybe I should study about Japanese kabuki and Chinese kyogeki someday.

After that I went to the Yaesu Book Center to attend Shimoyan's lecture and autograph writing event. He wrote the short message too which is different one by one . How nice it is!

I had a Japanese style fish dish with my Reiki friend.

A new month has started. November is juichigatsu(十一月), the 11th month. Its lunar calendar name is shimotsuki (霜月), literally frost month.

I went to the nearby shrine for the first day visit called otsuitachi mairi (お朔詣り) before going to work.

It was fine and the sunset was very beautiful today. It was rather warmat the daytime but a bit chilly at night.

After work I went to Tamachi to attend the Sushi dinner party with my friend. It started at 7:00 pm and ended 10:50 pm. So I missed the last train unfortunately.

Sushi was delicious as usual. The night view from the 33rd floor is very beautiful. I am glad to take my friend who enjoyed the occasion.

Happy Halloween!!

It's already end of October. How fast tine flies!

This morning from Kamioooka and Yokohama, there happened blackout and my train delayed more than one hour. I used JR from Kurihama.

When I got to the office, there was Wifi problem and I could not use Internet in the morning.

There was a big meeting in the afternoon. It went well.

On my way home, I dropped at Miurakaigan to see a friend. We ate dinner and I taught her making acounts here.snd there.
