I took a half day off to go to medical check for the second time after 3 months.  The result was not bad.
It finished around 11:30 and I went to my favorite bakery restaurant.  It is very popular because they offer a variety of fresh bread and you can eat as much as you like.  There were many people waiting as usual.  I waited for 15 minutes or so.  I ordered the special course and enjoyed about 5 different  fresh bread and got even souvenirs because I had a coupon of JAF member.  I felt lucky.

2012.8.10

It seems today is the day of Yosakoi Festival (よさこい祭り：yosakoi matsuri) in Kochi (高知) where is very famous for the home town of Sakamoto Ryoma (坂本龍馬) who is a hero of the late Edo period.
I have happened to be in the izakaya (居酒屋) of Tosa (土佐) food tonight.  Tosa is the old name of Kochi area.  Izakaya is the place you can drink and eat.  Their special dish was warayaki (わらやき).  Wara is straw, yaki is grill.  They barbecue bonito or chicken by straw and eat them with salt and fresh condiment.  They were tasty with sake (酒).

2012.6.4

I went out for lunch with colleagues at a Japanese Restaurant.  At lunch time it is hard to make a reservation and there were two options which we can reserve, one for Japanese restaurant the other for Western style restaurant.  There were 8 people today.  We could enter the Japanese style  room with horigotatsu (掘りごたつ), which has heater in the winter time but not at this time. We can sit like a chair and it is very comfortable.
They offered the lottery but nobody get anything, then they offered the lottery again.  Only one of us got cash after the second trial.

It was fine today.

I ate lunch at the Indian Restaurant and dinner at the Taiwanese Restaurant. The latter was the vegetarian food restaurant. There were 7 dishes or so, and all were looked like chicken or ham or something included, but they were made of soy beans or other veggie ingredient. So interesting. But I like to eat the real one.

８月２８日（hachigatsu nijyuhachi nichi）： August 28

I had a luncheon at a Chinese restaurant in Yokohama (横浜). Yokohama is famous for the China Town. The other day I ate at the restaurant in the China Town, but this time it was not in the China Town.
There were about 8 dishes or so today. I enjoyed eating and talking.

６月２１日（rokugatsu nijyuichi nichi）： June 21

It was raining so heavily in the morning that I brought a long umbrella, but in Tokyo it was not raining.
I went out for lunch with a colleague to a Japanese restaurant today. There I usually order menu of the day, but today I ordered katsuo no tataki teishoku (かつおのたたき定食), lightly roasted bonito lunch served with grated radish. It also cost yen 950. They include rice, miso soup, pickles and coffee. But I do not drink coffee, they served green tea for me.
Last week I also ate katsuo no tataki teishoku at the other restaurant. They served with garlic which tasted better.

６月２０日（rokugatsu hatsuka）： June 20

I still have a back pain.

My colleagues and I went out for lunch at the Indonesian Restaurant. It's been a long time since I went there last time. I ordered their special lunch. It included 5 to 6 different dishes on one plate with a cup of soup, dessert, and a glass of iced tea. It cost yen 950 and was delicious.
In Japan we drink green tea. We do not add any sugar and milk when we drink Japanese style tea. It seems they drink tea with sugar if you need.
