2025.1.7

It was cloudy, fine, and rain. It was cold.

January 7 is known as nanakusa (七草), seven herbs. In new year's days we tend to eat delicious foods too much. To rest our stomach we eat rice porridge with seven herbs on this day.

Within today it is called matsu no uchi (松の内), I cleared the new year's decoration of the entrance.

Since it is ichiryu manbaibi (一粒万倍日) when is a good time to start something, I started preparing my 152nd ebook. There were about 600 pictures and I chose about 160 pictures out of them.

I got an airmail from the USA which was posted on December 28, 2024 from Illinois.
This winter I did not send any Christmas card by airmail but sent by email.
I should have sent some.

I got invitations for the events. I can't attend one of them, but I will attend others.

2024.1.7

It was fine.

I stayed at home all day long and watched some recorded movies.

January 7 is known as Nanakusa, seven herbs. At new year we eat lots of delicious foods and drink too much.
Therefore we eat seven herb porridge to rest our stomache.
I cooked  porridge for lunch.

My 109th book campaign was over and the 110th started. To my delight it became No.1 in Japan.

It's been a week since the Great Earthquakes in Noto peninsula. There are still earthquakes happening and it's been raining and snowing and very cold. They need support.

2023.1.7

It's been a week since the new year started.

January 7 is known as haru no nanakusa (春の七草), seven herbs of spring.
We eat delicious foods during the new year, therefore our stomache worked hard and got tired. So we eat porridge with seven herbs in the morning of January 7 to make it rest.

Today I got a call from a teacher of my first grade of the primary school by chance. It seemed she pushed my number by mistake. We enjoyed talking after a long time and decided to have lunch next month.

I got a catalog choice present of a stock holding company.

At night I attended a zoom event.

2015.1.7

It was cloudy in the morning but became fine in the afternoon.

Today was the first working day of this year.  The trains were delayed for both ways.

January 7 is known as nanakusa (七草), seven herbs.  Since we eat a lot during new year days, we should take care of our stomach after a week.  So we eat nanakusa gayu (七草がゆ),  rice gruel with seven herbs.  They are namely: seri (せり: Water dropwort), nazuna (なずな: Shepherd's purse), gogyo (ごぎょう: Cudweed), hakobera (はこべら : Chickweed), suzuna (すずな: Turnip), and suzushiro (すずしろ: Radish).
