Early morning I took a bath and went to bed and took rest.

 

It was another hot day.

I stayed at home all day long.

In the afternoon I watched some Olympic games on TV.

At night I watched a movie on TV.

It was cloudy.

I stayed at home all day long, did laundry, iron, cook, clear kimono, book the restaurant, attend a zoom meeting, talk with friends, make plans, and make a photobook.

It was a nice day off after five days working after six months vacation.

April is a starting month for Japanese academic year and fiscal year. I started a new job.

In a month I will be one year older.

How fast days go by!

2022.9.13

It was fine.  

I took a day off and went to Ueno to attend Minaru kane taisai (巳成金大祭) festival. I arrived around 9:30. Festival started at 10 am. I got a gold coin and a special gold stamped paper.

I went to Shinagwa to have lunch with an old  frind. It was a nice place.

I went to Kawasaki to see a movie "Bullet Train."

It was a nice day off.

 It was fine and hot.

Today is the 77th anniversary of the atomic bombing in Nagasaki. 

I took a day off and went to the Kimono Style Miya to have my pictures taken.

After that I visited shrines and temples. 

This Saturday I was going to take a bus tour but it was canceled again. I rebooked the same tour on another day. I hope it works.

It was fine and beautiful.

Many people started working today.

Since I could not decide the New Year's plan during last year, I took two days off on Jan. 4 and 5 to travel.  But after all I gave up traveling abroad this time and decided to relax.

So I stayed at home most of time except  going to post office, bank, and shopping after listening to the Prime Minister's New Year's Greeting. He visited the Ise shrine today and started Twitter.

I saw the beautiful suset tonight too.

It was fine.

I took a day off.

I am glad to finish the things I wanted to do. But there are still other things I want to finish within this year.

In the evening I had once a month special meeting which ended earlier than usual. This was the last meeting of this year.

The sunset was so beautiful today.

It was fine but cool.

I took a day off today.

In the morning I stayed home.

In the afternoon I visited the tax office to ask about inheritance.

Then I went to the beauty salon. I had 1000 yen and 500 yen coupons so I thought it would be 1500 yen less than the regular price. To my surprise I had one more 500 yen coupon. So it was 2000 yen cheaper than usual.

Then I went to massage. It had been eight months since I went there last.

It was a nice day off.

It was cloudy in the morning and became rainy later.

I took a day off and visited a museum and went to see a movie "The Hateful Eight" for free using stock holders' invitation tickets in Kawasaki. The movie  was different from what I expected.

For lunch I ate at the food court. This was the first time for me to go there. I found Yamaya dining which is very famous for its spicy cod eggs called Mentaiko (明太子).  There is a set menu of bowl of rice, butajiru or tonjiru (豚汁), pork soup with vegetables, and mentaiko for yen 670 or so. And you can add the main dish of meat or fish and other side menues. I chose grilled mackerel and pickles called Takana (高菜). See the picture.

After watching a movie I looked for a birthday present for my friend in England. It is fun to shop.

2015.12.15

It was cloudy.

I took a compensation holiday and went to Yokosuka.
Last Friday I went there in the evening so that I did not notice, but there was a new building near the tower mansion. I was so surprised at the changes. 
I visited two stock companies to submit the necessary documents to ask for the financial statement of my father's asset.

After that I went to attend a monthly meeting. It lasted for 7 hours or so.  We enjoyed lunch as usual.
There came a new member whose talk was unordinary and interesting.

On my way home I went shopping.

It became a nice day off.

2015.11.13

It was cloudy and a bit cold.

I took a comp holiday.
I went to Yokohama to attend a monthly meeting in the morning and afternoon.
During lunch time I went to Kimono Style Miya. There is a rugby shop in the same building and they say there will be ruggers tomorrow. I asked if Mr. Goromaru would come or not and there won't.

After the meeting I went to a post office to buy some stamps for mochu hagaki.  There I found other memorial stamps too and bought three different sheet. It's been a while since I bought these stamps. I like to write letters and cards but these days I seldom do so and write emails instead.

After that I went to another kimono shop. There was a  lottery and I got the fourth prize which was a washable kimono.  There was an roketsuzome (ろうけつ染め) artist whom I met on Oct.18 last year.  I enjoyed trying to wear some kimono. One of them was so expensive, yen 5 million. 

2015.11.2

It was a cold rainy day.

This is the fifth day of the special fall holidays and there is only one day left.

I got three lenzes which I ordered through Internet. They are wide lenze, macro lenze and fish eye lenze which seem nice and I look forward to using them.

In the afternoon I had a visitor who was supposed to come after 3 pm but came around 4:30 pm.

It was cloudy.

I have 6 days off due to the special fall holidays for a school festival.
There are something we can do on only weekdays. So I did such things.

2015.5.21

It was fine and hot during daytime, but became cooler in the evening.

I took a day off to take my father to the hospital for once a month check up.

After that we went out for lunch at a sushi restaurant near our house.  It opened last year or so, but I had never been there yet and hoped to visit there.  It is a conveyor-belt sushi bar which is called kaitenzushi (回転寿司) in Japanese.  The dishes with two sushi are circulated on the conveyor-belt, and you can choose whatever you like.  You can also order what you want to eat, and they are delivered by a speedy belt too.  Usually one dish is yen 108, and other dishes are yen 198 or so.  There are some side dishes and desserts too.  It's been a long time since I went to this kind of restaurants.

After coming back, I went to tea lesson.  I was glad to see four fellow pupils because I wanted to hand them some pictures I took at the first tea ceremony this year.  It's been already more than four months since the first tea ceremony. 

After the lesson I went shopping and to banks. 

2015.3.5

It was fine.

I took a day off to take my father to hospital.

In the afternoon a care manager came to our house to check my father's status.

After that I went to pick up father's medicine and to a tea lesson after a long interval. 
The last lesson I went to was November.
Since I come home late after getting a job in Tokyo,  I can only attend the tea lesson when I take my father to hospital once a month  because it is usually Thursday.
There were many things to learn at the lesson, and I felt I like to learn it.
The plum tree was full in bloom in my master's garden.

After the lesson I went to a bank and grocery shopping.
After coming home, I cooked dinner and ate with my father after a long time.

2014.5.29

It was fine and became very hot.  In some places it went up to more than 30 degrees centigrade, which is called manatsubi (真夏日), mid summer day.

I took a day off to take my father to the hospital.  There were so many patients today and it took so long to get urine and blood examination. 
After doctor's consulting, we went out for lunch .

In the afternoon, there were two visitors to talk about the care for my father.

Finally the new PC and  printer arrived!
