It was cloudy but the sun was shining.
In the morning I went to two shrines, one is near home, the other near the office.
It is my ritual to visit there on the first day and the 15th day of the month.
November 15 is shichigosan (七五三) when families of children at the age of three and five for boys and three and seven for girls visit shrines to pray for their healthy growth.
Boys and girls are usually dressed up with kimono. There are special candies for this day which is called chitoseame (千歳飴), meaning 1000 years candy.

It was cloudy.
November 15 is known as Shichi go san (七五三), 753. It is a day to celebrate children's healthy growth at the age of three and seven for girls and five for boys. Children of these age are dressed with beautiful kimono and families with those children visit the shrine or temple to pray for their healthy growth.
For this day there is a special candy called Chitose ame (千歳飴) which is a very long stick shape candy.
These days many families with formal wear tend to visit shrines not only on Nov. 15 but also near weekend from Nov. 15.
I saw the one last Sunday.
I still have pictures of my Shichigosan visiting at Tsurugaoka Hachinangu (鶴岡八幡宮) in Kamakura (鎌倉).

It was cloudy in the morning, but became fine in the late afternoon.
I went to the Toyota car dealer to have my car fixed the place where there was recall.
I went grocery shopping later.
November 15 is Shichi go san (七五三), literally means seven five three. Girls of three years old and seven years old, and boys of five years old get dressed and go to local shrines to wish their healthy growth.
There is a special long candy called chitose ame (千歳飴), literally means 1000 years candy for this occasion.
I did not see any shichigosan children today.
