残暑お見舞申し上げます

Today is risshu (立秋), one of nijushisekki (二十四節気), 24 solar terms. Last one was taisho (大暑) on July 22 and the next one is shosho (処暑) on August 23.

Risshu literally means stand fall, it is the first day of fall. However it's been very hot these days.

From today greeting became "Zanrsho omimai moshiagemasu(残暑お見舞い申し上げます).''

Today I stayed and worked at home.

After supper I walked to the Miura kaigan beach to see the fireworks festival tonight. It lasted for 30 minutes. The final 5 minutes were so nice.

2022.8.7

It was fine and hot.

Today is risshu (立秋), one of nijushisekki (二十四節気), the 24 solar terms. The last one was taisho (大暑) on July 23 and the next one is shosho (処暑) on August 23.
Risshu literally means stand fall which is the start of fall.

From today the greeting message changes from " shochu omimai moshiagemasu (暑中お見舞申し上げます) " to " zansho omimai moshiagemasu (残暑お見舞申し上げます)."

I stayed at home all day long and cleared unnecessary things finally.

2021.8.7

Today is risshu (立秋), the first day of fall.  It is one of nijushisekki(二十四節気), the 24 solar terms. Last one was  taisho (大暑) on July 22 and next one is shosho (処暑) on August 23.

From today the message of summer greeting card is chsnged to "Zansho omiimai moshi agemasu (残暑お見舞い申し上げます)."

It was fine but rained too in the morning and became fine again.

I stayed at home all day long and attended a physical tuning training from 6:30 to 7:10 am, laughter yoga from 8:00 to 8:30 and, a seminar from 10 am to 4 pm. After that I talked with a friend from Awajishima. It was fun.
At night I attended another zoom event.
It was a zoom day.

2020.8.7

It was fine

Today is risshu (立秋), one of nijushisekki (二十四節気), the 24 solar terms. The last one was taisho (大暑) on July 22, and the next one is shosho (処暑) on August 23.
Risshu means stand autumn, which means the start of autumn.
This year the rainy season lasted longer than usual, and summer has just begun. But on the lunar calendar it is already autumn.

We had a long zoom neeting again.

I watched a movie on TV at night.

2017.8.7

Zansho omimai moshiagemasu (残暑お見舞い申し上げます)

This is the way to greet at this hot season.
Until yesterday it was "Shochu omimai moshiagemasu.(暑中お見舞い申し上げます)." The difference is "shochu" which means the middle of hot season and "zansho" which means "the late summer heat" though the heat itself is almost the same.
The reason of difference is today is risshu (立秋), the start of the fall on the calendar.
It is one of nijyushisekki (二十四節気), the 24 solar terms. The last one was taisho(大暑) on July 23, and the next one is shosho(処暑) on August 23.

The typhoon No.5 is gradually approaching. It rained at night but stopped. I hope it will pass without any problem.
