2018.6.13

It was cloudy.

In the afternoon I attended another English lecture about the history of Japanese Modern Government. It was very interesting to hear about the Professor's own experience at the Ministry.

It is 150th anniversary from the Meiji Restoration this year.

2017.10.18

It became fine after 6 days. However it is cold in the morning and evening.

Today I supported the lecture given by a woman who used to work as an official servant but founded three companies while getting married, giving births, and raised two daughters.
It was not only interesting but also useful for my own program study.

2016.11.21

It was cloudy in the morning but rained heavily in the afternoon.  Fortunately I did not have to use an umbrella when I left the office because it stopped raining in the evening.

Today I had an online stress test.  There were nearly 60 questions to answer by rating 4 levels, totally agree, somehow agree, somehow disagree, and totally disagree.  Questions were about the difficulties of job assignment, human relationship in the office, and health condition.
Totally considered I was judged having no stress.  Very good.

I had a chance to listen to the lecture about Community Design in the late afternoon. Since the lecturer talked according to the reaction of audience, there was no resume. I believe the simultaneous interpreters must be very tired.
The lecture was interesting because there were examples and he was trying to make us laugh every five minutes.

2016.9.2

It was fine and hot.

After work I dropped at the Fuji Film Square to see the new exhibition, then headed for Toritsudaigaku to attend a joint lecture of the world No.1 fundraiser Ms. Lynne Twist and a Japanese best seller writer Mr. Ken Honda.

About two years ago I attended the Golden Life Program, and she was one of the guest speakers there. She is a beautiful lady of 71 years old, but looked younger than that. She's been married for 50 years and has three children and some (?) grandchildren. She used to be a school teacher.

She has committed her life to end the world hunger and preserve the Amazon environment.

I bought her book there and look forward to reading it.

2015.1.16

It was fine.

I was rather busy at the office today too.
After work, I went to attend Mr. Ken Honda's New Year's lecture.
I think this is the third time for me to attend his new year's lecture.
The theme was "You can choose the ideal life anytime."
Whenever I go to his lecture, I buy books to get his autograph. Today I bought the newest one titled "Purpose of Life."
I have made friends with three persons  who attended his lecture for first time.

10月23日(jyugatsu nijyusan nichi): October 23

After coming back to Tokyo (東京) by shinkansen Hikari (新幹線ひかり号), I looked around the coin locker to keep my carry case. Unfortunately all were full and I had to bring to the venue of the Nikkei (日経) Senior Work Life Forum 2011.
The special lecture was made by a famous stage director, Amon Miyamoto (宮本亜門) for an hour. The title was "It's interesting because it's different. It's wonderful because it's not different."
The lecture was mainly about his life experience and it was interesting. After the lecture I bought a book with autograph written by him. I asked him to take a picture with me and he was kind enough to do so and we shook hands.
On my way back home, I started reading the book. It is interesting.

四月十日(shigatsu toka): April 10

It was fine today. I enjoyed looking at the beautiful cherry blossom trees all along the banks through the window of the train on my way to the seminar and back.

At the seminar two lecturers talked about creative thinking and Kojiki (古事記), literally record of ancient matters, which is the oldest extant chronicle in Japan dating from the early 8th century.
Regarding creative thinking, there are two circles. Inside is influence circle, outside is interest circle. Influence circle consists of three ways of thinking. One is zero based thinking, the other is hypothesis thinking, another is positive thinking. The lecturer asked the audience each question.
Zero based thinking is to reset something. He asked "What do you want to reset?" Some people said, age, health, partner, children, etc. Regarding hypothesis thinking, he asked "What kind of "if" can you think of? Other people said " if I were rich enough, if I were a man, if I were a woman, if I were extremely beautiful, if I was born today, etc....
Each person has a different idea, but some people shared the same idea too. It was fun to hear many ideas.
What would you like to reset or change your life?

By the way, it seems today is the 51st wedding anniversary of the Emperor and the Empress.
Best wishes!
