2016.8.31

It was fine and hot.

Today is the last day of August. Two thirds of 2016 were already over.

I have attended many seminars for the past 8 months and met many new people.
Since the rhythm color of this year is yellow and it is the time to start something, so I started many things which will determine my life of the next decade.  I am trying to seed the fortune for future.

After work I visited the Fuji Film square where had new exhibitions until tomorrow. The title of one of them was "RING OF LIFE" by Ms. Emi Nakamura which exhibits the pictures of animals in the Arctic and the Antarctic. This reminds me of my trip to the Antarctic in the winter of 2004.
It was allowed to take pictures. So here are some for you to enjoy.

I have never been to the North Pole yet. If I have a chance, I hope to visit there too someday.

There was a phamphlet of Los Cabos where is one of the places I have wanted to visit. They say it is calked "the best aquarium in the world. "
I hope to visit there too.

2016.8.30

It was a rainy day because of the typhoon No. 10, but I did not have to use the umbrella.

It is rather windy.

Whenever the typhoon comes, I remember the one which brought the damage to our land when I was the 6th grader of the primary school.
My father was abroad on a  business trip for several months and could not come home when it happened.

My mother must have had a  tough time to take care of two children by herself and to deal with the damage caused by the typhoon.

2016.8.29

It was raining but shining too this morning so that I could see
the rainbow.  I felt lucky.

Since another typhoon No. 10 is approaching, it's been raining on and off. Now it is raining rather heavily.

Three members of the office came back from the business trips abroad, so there were many souvenir sweets today.

2016.8.28

It was a cloudy and rainy day.

I went to Hamamatsucho to attend meetings. I have some questions, and I could ask all the questions.

I used to go to work at a very small company in Hamamatsucho for the part time job when I was a graduated school student.
Today I walked around there at lunch time and was glad to see the building.

For lunch I ate Nagasaki champon.

After coming back I went to grocery shopping and cooked dinner after a long time.

2016.8.27

It was cloudy when I left home.

First I went to Kimono Style Miya to drop my kimono set for tonight and went to Ikebukuro to meet somebody at a restaurant where I have wanted to go for a long time.  We had a big lunch and talked about many things for about two hours.
When we went out, it was raining.

Then I went back to Kimono Style Miya to get dressed, hairdo and makeup to attend the dinner cruise at the Tokyo Bay by the Royal Wing from the Osambashi terminal.

This was the second time for me to attend the dinner cruise. This time there were 20 people, 18 beautiful kimono ladies and 2 gentlemen.  About half of ladies' kimono were originally the same kind of white roll cloth.  Each one of them chose the color to dye.  Since yellow is my rhythm color of this year, I chose yellow. Everyone looked different at all.

It seemed there was a wedding in the one before ours, and departing was delayed.

We were ushered to a private room on the second floor .

There were seven dishes during about the two hours cruise. I liked the assorted appetizer because there was a small bud of rose. There visited an entertainer of making baloon animals.  She made a rabbit, a lion, a giraffe, and a dog in a short time.

If it was not raining, I would have worn the kimono to home, but unfortunately it was still raining, so I changed it and asked for cleaning, and went home by what I wore from home.

I have eaten too much today.

2016.8.26

It was fine and hot.

It seems there was an accident and the trains were behind the  schedule.
Usually trains are so packed after such accident, it was not the case today.
Since it was Friday, many people went out for dinner or drink, and around 8 pm was not rush hour yet.
In any case,  I usually drop at Shinagawa once to wait for the train starting from Shinagawa so that I can sit because I need to ride from 70 minutes to 90 minutes depending on the time.

2016.8.25

It was fine and hot.

I felt better and went to work.

My colleague next to me offered the vitamin C contained drink worrying about my health. How sweet she is!

At the office kitchen when I happened to enter there, somebody was cutting a  pineapple. Then she offered me to taste it.  It was sweet.

Sweet has many meanings.

In the third paragraph, it means kind or nice. It is yasashii(優しい) in Japanese.

In the fourth sentence it means the taste like sugar. It is amai (甘い) in Japanese.

2016.8.24

It was fine and hot.

I have felt sick since yesterday, and I had a high fever this morning, so I took a day off today. I slept and slept but still feel dull.

Fortunately I could read emails of the office, and I could work at home.

I hope to be better tomorrow.

2016.8.23

It was cloudy in spite of passing the typhoon.

When I got up, it was the time to leave home.
We are required to be at the office from 10 am and 3 pm and work 7:45 hours per day.
I usually arrive at the office around 9:30 am. So I could arrive at the office before 10 am.
I like the flex time system.

2016.8.22

The typhoon No.9 hit Japan and it's been heavily raining from the morning. Trains delayed.

I took a half day off in the afternoon and went to Ikebukuro.

First I had lunch with ex-colleague at our favorite Japanese style restaurant near the office. Lunch set menu used to be yen 800 but it was yen 1000 on the menu. I chose grilled fish called menuki, and everything was delicious, especially I like miso soup there. In the salad there was something I had never eaten, but it was good. Its name is korinky and it is a kind of squash, which you can eat in raw.
We enjoyed eating, talking and seeing her pictures from the trip to Europe.

Then I went to listen to the lecture by Dr. Naoaki Kobayashi from 2 pm. I was surprised to hear many things which were very new to me. His talk was very humorous.
It lasted longer than I expected.
So I decided to have dinner.

The Olympic Games at Rio 2016 were over but I missed the closing ceremony.
I hope to do something to be a bridge between Japan and other countries at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

2016.8.21

It was fine and very hot.

I went to Kimono-style Miya to  have my hair set, makeup, and dressed in the morning.

Then I went to Tokyo Women's Plaza to attend the event of the 10th anniversary of Japan-China Collaboration Film for World Peace.  The movie's title is "jun-Ai(純愛)" pure love. It is a story of a Japanese couple living in China after the time of World War II.
Mr Koichi Hagiwara(萩原孝一), my teacher from ability garden co-organized this event with the lead actress and director of this film Ms. Keiko Kobayashi(小林桂子).
After watching the movie, there was a talk event with some performances.
She made this film between Japan and China, and her next work will be between Japan and Korea. She said she wrote her dream of bonding countries when she was a primary school student. I felt to write dreams and make them published is very important to make them come true.

After the event I had a chance to talk with a very famous doctor, Dr. Akira Ikegawa(池川明) and took pictures. I hope to see his film next time.

On my way to Shibuya station, there was a farmers' market in front of UNU. I tasted two different teas.

I visited three kimono shops and bought something I have wanted.

It seemed to have rained at some places, but to my lucky I did not have it.

2016.8.20

It was cloudy in the morning when I left home and I could walk to the station without any trouble.
When I got on the train, it started raining. When I arrived at Shinagawa, it was raining heavily with thunder.

I met my friends at the Tahitian Noni Cafe and ate the special curry set which article was appeared on the newspaper this week.

After that I went to Shibuya to attended the seminar of color beauty studies.

After that we went to Omori to attend a party for color beauty studies group.
There were 16 people.
Two of them belong to the Moon group, another two belong to the Sun group, and most of them belong to the Earth group which I am a member.
My brand color is blue green, imaging color is indigo, and the rythum color is yellow. So I tried different cocktails according to them.
It was fun.

2018.8.19

It was fine and hot in the morning, and cloudy and rain and fine again in the afternoon.  We saw the rainbows after rain, so rain was not so bad.

I took a day off to show around Tokyo to my VIP 's family from New York.

We met at the Tsukiji shijyo (築地市場) station at 10 am. Tsukiji shijo is the biggest and most famous market in Tokyo. There were so many tourists there. We walked around the restaurant area and fish market area. I was surprised to find the fish shop with the same surname as mine there. We enjoyed the seafood bowl for early lunch.

Then we went to Hamarikyu (浜離宮) park where we enjoyed Japanese cold green tea with sweets. Since I have a license of tour guide, I could enter there for free. We enjoyed walking along the flower fields.

We took a river cruise to Asakusa. It took about 45 minutes.

We walked around Asakusa (浅草) and enjoyed another Japanese sweets called warabimochi (わらびもち) with maccha (抹茶), green tea taste.

It started rain and when we arrived at Ueno, we could see the rainbows.

Then we went to the Ueno park where there was a public view event of the Olympic Games in Rio 2016. We answered the questionaire and got a pin budge of the Tokyo Olympic 2020. We also have our pictures taken in front of the volleyball team panel.
We went to the famous pond called Shinobazunoike (不忍池), where there were many big lotus flowers.  There were so many people using smart phone there, so we assumed there was Pikachu there.

After that we visited the Kanda Post Office to get the tickets for the baseball game of Giants vs Tigers at the Tokyo Dome. The game was exciting with a few home runs. Giants won.

We said good by after 10 pm.
We had a good time today.

It was very interesting to hear  their comments about Japanese culture, because for us it is a matter of course but for foreigners it seems strange.

There were many things I colud not explain but we had lots of fun.

2016.8.18

It was cloudy.

From the morning there was a good news from Rio 2016.
Kaoru Icho, woman wrestler, got the gold medal for four times straight. That is amazing. Congratulations!

I left the office earlier than usual to attend the Moon Yoga at the Miurakaigan beach at night.
Since it was raining in Tokyo, I was not sure if they have a class or not. But to my lucky it was fine in Miura and I could see the beautiful fullmoon. This was the first time for me to do the Moon Yoga. It was so nice to do it on the beach. I really like the sea & beach. I met my Yoga instructor who informed me about this opportunity, and a yoga friend whom I have not seen for a few years after Yoga lesson.

There will be another session
on September 15 next month from 6:30 pm. If you are interested in, I recommend you to try. It costs yen 500 to participate.
